Dear student,

Since you belong to general category and no bonus point and outside delhi.

Seeing the previous year cutoffs for various CS Branches the maximum ranks went to 329 for Computer science in bioscience for IIITD rank in Round 4. So you don't have chance to get any CS branch in IIITD. But if you have JEE Main rank then you can participate in the counselling of Jossa if you have good rank in that then maybe you will get this college.

Hope it Helps!

I am assuming you as a general category student and for COMPUTER SCIENCE ENGINEERING list is given below you can go through our website for other Courses.

If you are going through JEE main then the cutoff will be

General  - 4000-5000

OBC- 16000-18000

SC- 40000

ST- 120000-125000

EWS - 5000-6000

If you are going through JAC Delhi main then the cutoff will be

General - 2000-3000

OBC - 10000-12000

SC - 70000-72000

ST - 75000-80000

EWS - 2500-3000

If you are going through UPSEE then the cutoff will be

General - 100000-110000

Hope it helps

Hi,

As per the admission brochure by IIIT-D, there is a different reservation for CS and ECE seats.

  • For CSE-: (Defence Quota) 5% for defence personals who are residents of Delhi, and only 1% for those who are from outside Delhi. Talking about the (OBC reservation criteria), its 25% for residents of Delhi and 4% for non-residents
  • For ECE-: (Defence Quota) its 3% for residents of Delhi and 1% for non-residents. For OBC reservation criteria its 16% for residents of Delhi and 3% for non-residents.

You may get admission if your rank is high and your 12th percentage is also good, basically you qualify the cut off set by IIT-D.

If you have further queries, you can go to our site and post your queries here.

We will get back to you ASAP.

Hope this helps.

Thankyou

Marks depends on student's performance and the level of question paper. Last year the cutoff rank for general category in IIIT Delhi was 4912. As per the trend you need to score 171 - 180 to be eligible for admission in IIIT Delhi.

To be at the safe side you need to score 200+ to get IIIT Delhi as the competition is cutthroat now a days.

Hope you get my point. All the best.

Hello Aspirant,

According to the category and rank you have mentioned in the question you cannot get IIIT Delhi with any of the branches as per previous year's cut-offs because last year the closing rank for IIIT Delhi through JAC Counseling was 329 for CSB branch for a General candidate of state other than Delhi. You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jac-delhi-merit-list

But yes I would suggest you to sit for some state counselling because in some of the state government colleges you can get admission on such ranks.

Note that the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors.

So you can use JEE-Main College Predictor to predict your chances of admission in different engineering colleges of India :-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

Hey there!

IIITs have a great placement record so you might be able to get a job in Maharashtra through the college placements only. But if that doesn't happen you can apply to companies in Maharashtra directly after the completion of your degree, being a IIIT graduate you'll be able to court a job easily.

Your category is OBGNO i.e. obc outside Delhi region. You need to be in 95th percentile atleast to get admission.

Hello,

The cutoffs for 2020 has not been released yet. Although as per the previous year the cutoff rank for EWS category outside Delhi without bonus is for CSD is 6612.

According to that you do qualify and I think you might get admission in the later rounds. You should check the official site for more updates.

Hope you got your answer.

Good luck.

Hello student,

Every IIT has it's own advantage and disadvantage. According to me, Bombay IIT is better to pursue CSE. The chances of placements are far better here than other IITs. You'll get to learn diverse aspect of CSE here. However, these my personal opinion. There is 100% placement records of previous year's with average salary package 10-12 lakh per annum.

Dear student,

If you are from general category and you want to seat in IIIT, then your rank must be very good and nearly under 10,000 to get a desired branch in iiit.

Now if you think that getting computer science and design branch in IIIT Delhi is tough then yes of course it is, because for that, you have to secure a good rank only then you can get computer science design in IIIT Delhi (if you are an other state or outside Delhi region student).

The last year cutoff closing rank for general category outside Delhi region candidates for computer science and design - 11884 ( for round 4 counseling)

So, you have to work very hard and have to secure a good rank in jee mains for getting iiit delhi ( if you are from outside delhi candidate).

Also is you have given jee mains, then also check out our jee mains college predictor tool to get an appropriate idea of colleges that you can get on basis of your jee mains rank :-
