Jadavpur university gives admission only on the basis of WBJEE ranks.For BE/B.Tech,B.Arch courses you must qualify WBJEE exam.It does not take JEE Mains marks.

Also you must have secured 60% in PCM.

As  you have a not-so-bad category rank, you may get a seat in a govt college, but I'm not so sure about CSE, as CSE is one of the branches with a high demand. If you can share your CRL rank, I can check your chances. OR

Since last year the opening and closing rank for Mechanical engineering were:

 686 and 1300

May be you will not get ME in first round but in the second or third round you will get ME stream sure.
