The undergraduate courses include B.A. , B.Pharm., B.Sc. , B.E., B.Tech and B.Arch. The JU postgraduate courses include M.Sc., M.A., M.Tech. , M.E., M.Pharm. and M.Arch. Jadavpur University admission to non-professional courses is offered on the basis of evaluation of the performance of candidates in the entrance examination. Admission to B.E., B.Tech, B.Pharm and B.Arch. courses are offered on the merit basis of the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination. It is commonly known as WBJEE . Jadavpur University admission to M.Tech., M.E., and M.Arch. are offered through GATE score while admission to M.Pharm. Is offered through GPAT score. In order to get admission in Government colleges you should have the domicile of West Bengal. Other state students can apply for WBJEE Entrance Exam but they will be eligible only for the private colleges of West Bengal.

So if you have domicile for west bengal you can take admission in wbjee which is a government college.

Jadavpur University does not have management quotas. Because then there is no point in  the minimum paid education they provide.

I would recommend taking up B.Tech from Universities like VIT Vellore as compared to B.Sc. because the career opportunities in B.Tech field especially Computer Science are vast and if you do B.Tech from a reputed college, you are most likely to get good placement considering you are not particularly interested in B.Sc and you see yourself working in companies with a B.Tech degree.

It is no possible to predict the marks for the seat as the marks change each and every year and the cut off also changes sometimes it may go up and sometimes down. Because the criteria of deciding marks depends upon various factors such as the difficulty of the questions, no of questions, etc.

Specific age for NIT, IIT are that he/dhe must have passed their class 12 exam. Consecutively 3 attempts are allowed for JEE Main examination. A minimum JEE Main qualifying score is needed.
