Dear candidate,

Jadavpur University is a private college in the state of West Bengal which offers a variety of courses for students. However, Jadavpur University does not take admission on the basis of JEE score or NEET score. Candidates have to write a separate exam to have a chance of securing admission in the college which is called the WBJEE.

For Bachelor in Pharmaceutical Technology, a general category candidate must have a rank within 1000 at least. I'm writing the cut offs for previous years and 2021 here for general category candidates because the cut offs for 2021 have been already released on September 22, 2021

  • 2021- rank 847
  • 2020- rank  564
  • 2019- rank 999

Hope this gives you some idea.

Hello,

Geology is very interesting subject. This is specially study on earth. So you can go far from this subject. You can be a geologist after completing your masters degree and you can research also.

Jadavpur University is the government University in West Bengal. It's present in kolkata..and yes it's definitely good.

And st Xavier's College Mumbai also good college. Now choice is yours. If you are stay in West Bengal then choose Jadavpur but if you want to explore yourself then go Mumbai.

All the best.

Hi, so basically you have done BCA already right. So you shouldn't get any difficulty in admitting in a MCA college. Since you already have done BCA and you are applying for masters in same stream so you won't find any difficulty in getting admitted there.

Hope this is helpful.

Hi,

Both the colleges are very reputed & offers great placement opportunities so it really depends on what you are interested in. If you are interested about software, computers then CSE for you but if not then you can go for production engineering. Kalyani offers great placement opportunities to students in top companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Wipro, TCS, etc with an average salary package of INR 8 to 10 LPA. The highest can go up to INR 40 LPA while Jadavpur offers placement to students in companies like Mercedes, Bajaj and PSUs like GAIL and others. The average salary offered is around INR 6 to 7 LPA & the highest in this course is INR 23 LPA. So, you need to consider the job opportunities & the package you wish to avail.

The infrastructure & faculty is undoubtedly good in both the colleges. There's nothing distinctively different about the infrastructure that can affect your decision & the faculty is experienced & knowledgeable in both the colleges.

So, the thing that matters is your interest in the course, the placement opportunities & the salary package. Now, you know what your priority is so you can decide which one is better.

Hope this helps.

College Infrastructure

A bit underwhelming due to inadequate funding. Basic labs found in first year are not upto the mark. However when it comes to equipments, toh would probably all of them except half of them are obsolete from industry pov.

It is going quite good yet.

College Infrastructure

The Jadavpur University has quite old buildings. But, it has a central library with separate libraries in each department. It has 4-5 canteens at different points in the campus. It also has an Open air theatre, A gym, and a basketball court adjacent to the main ground.

My experience at Jadavpur University was great.

Verified Review

College Infrastructure

The university still uses alot of buildings that are way too old and they are maintained very rarely. But, few new buildings have been built recently which is a good thing. There is a lack of adequate labs for example in my department (Economics) there is no sufficient facility. There is also lack of ACs in the classrooms.
