Nope! JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY offers admission based on the merit in 10+2. The PUBDET examination is for Presidency University entrance test in order to get admitted in Presidency University for the UG course. So you can't take admission in JU through PUBDET.
PUBDET is expected to be conducted on 7th and 8th August. The exam is conducted by Westbengal Joint Entrance Board.
I hope this answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
There are no entrances for JU to get admission in Arts courses. The Department of International Relations, Jadavpur University offers BA in Political Science course. The intake capacity of the course is 50. The course is a 3 year UG course.
The admission notifications are declared while the results of 10+2 are out as the admission to BA courses are offered through the 10+2 merit and without any entrances.

A bit underwhelming due to inadequate funding. Basic labs found in first year are not upto the mark. However when it comes to equipments, toh would probably all of them except half of them are obsolete from industry pov.
The Jadavpur University has quite old buildings. But, it has a central library with separate libraries in each department. It has 4-5 canteens at different points in the campus. It also has an Open air theatre, A gym, and a basketball court adjacent to the main ground.
The university still uses alot of buildings that are way too old and they are maintained very rarely. But, few new buildings have been built recently which is a good thing. There is a lack of adequate labs for example in my department (Economics) there is no sufficient facility. There is also lack of ACs in the classrooms.
