Have a question related to BTKIT Dwarahat ?

Hello Neeraj,

Based on your JEE Main percentile of 47.4% and an approximate rank of 800,000 , securing a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Bipin Tripathi Kumaon Institute of Technology (BTKIT), Dwarahat through regular counseling rounds is highly unlikely.

BTKIT CSE Cutoff Trends

In the 2024 admissions , the JEE Main closing ranks for the General category in CSE were:

  • Round 1 : ~129,332

  • Round 2 : ~127,866

  • Round 3 : ~134,342

  • Spot Round 3 : ~149,948

Even in the Spot Rounds , the closing ranks for CSE did not exceed 150,000.

Admission Possibilities

Given your current rank, admission to the CSE branch at BTKIT through standard counseling rounds is not feasible. However, you might consider the following options:

  • Other Engineering Branches : Explore branches with higher closing ranks, such as Biotechnology , Chemical Engineering , or Civil Engineering , where the closing ranks have been higher in previous years.

  • Private Engineering Colleges : Consider private institutions where the cutoff ranks are more accommodating.

  • State-Level Counseling : Participate in state-level counseling sessions, which might have different cutoff criteria.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.

I have 65 percentile in jee mains general category. So I can get the admission in BTKIT for cs course.

Hello Yash,

With a 65 percentile in JEE Mains in the general category, your chances of getting admission to BTKIT (Bheemtaal Institute of Technology, Kashi) for a Computer Science (CS) course may depend on several factors, including the college's cutoffs, the number of applicants, and the overall competition in the current admission cycle.

General Considerations:

  1. Previous Year Cutoffs : Look at the previous year’s cutoff for BTKIT for the CS branch. If your percentile is close to or above the cutoff from the previous year, you may have a chance.

  2. State Quotas : Some colleges may have a reservation policy that could benefit you. If you fall under a particular category or region, it might improve your chances.

  3. Other Admission Criteria : BTKIT may also consider other factors such as board exam scores or internal entrance tests.

    Recommendations:

  • Check the Official Website : Visit the official website of BTKIT to get the latest information about admission criteria, cutoffs, and available seats.

  • Reach Out to Admissions : Contact the admissions office directly to inquire about the likelihood of admission based on your current percentile.

  • Explore Other Colleges : If you’re open to other options, consider applying to other colleges with potentially lower cutoffs.

    Conclusion:

While a 65 percentile may present some challenges for admission to BTKIT for CS, it’s essential to explore all available options and stay informed about the specific admission processes and criteria.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

I am a girl and belong to general category . my CRL is 312645 and I got 78.92 percentile in JEE Main 2024 . My domicile is of Uttarakhand . Can I get CSE in BTKIT dwarhat college ??

Chances for CSE Branch in Bipin Tripathi Kumaon Institute of Technology, Dwarahat will be tough. You can try for other branches in the same college as you do have a chance to get a seat in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, e.t.c. But for the same branch you can go for other colleges like: Birla Institute of Applied Sciences, Nainital , where you do have a chance to get a seat.
