College of Engineering, Muttathara Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a proposal that is submitted to CAPE for the construction of a ladies' hostel. Students in the first and second years are accommodated in private hostels run by local parties with the approval of this college. Students can take admission to the hostel after providing a copy of an Aadhaar card, a passport-size photo, and a recommendation letter from the college. 

The college Central Library occupies a prominent place among the students and faculty. The Library has a collection of nearly 6500 volumes of 1400 titles and 30 printed journals. It includes a good collection of books and journals in the areas of Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical, Civil, and Mechanical Engineering and related fields, including Science, Mathematics, and Management. New titles are added from time to time in order to ensure that students are provided with updated study materials. The reference section includes many valuable reference materials and copies of the most essential general books, which can also be borrowed on an overnight issue basis. Our reference collection also includes Handbooks, encyclopedias, and study materials for competitive exams such as GATE and IES. 

The college has a department-based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has a permanent canteen building, which is run by a private party selected based on quality food at a nominal price through the Quotation/Tender procedure. The canteen is spacious in an area of 161.21 sqm and offers a variety of South Indian dishes for breakfast and lunch. Light refreshments like snack items are also provided to students and staff of the college. The canteen is open from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on all working days. A Canteen committee is constituted for managing the proper functioning of the canteen.

The college has a central store was functioning since August 2016, and the working hours are from 9.15 AM to 4.15 pm. A store committee has been constituted for managing the day-to-day activities of the store. Stationery items, Record books, and uniforms are available for students and staff at a subsidized rate.

The college has a state-of-the-art Central Computing Facility that started its operation on 30th April 2016. It serves as the central computing facility for the students and teachers of the institute. The CCF is well equipped with modern Computers and a stabilized, uninterrupted power supply, among other facilities. The CCF provides labs for the students. The CCF has 100 Mbps unlimited broadband internet connectivity on optical fiber under BSNL and 100mbps broadband internet connectivity on optical fiber.

The college has Games and sports that are not only important for success in the studio but also for success in every walk of our lives. The campus has grounds for playing games like Hockey, Football, Cricket, and Athletics. The Institute also encourages the active participation of the students in sports, especially the Sports and Games Competitions of the KTU University.

The college has a fully Fledged transport department that functions within the College to provide a hassle-free and safe transportation facility for the staff from various places. The College runs Buses from various places in and around the city. The number of Buses will be increased in proportion to the increase in the intake of students.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college placement cell facilitates soft skill training programs, seminars, industry-institute interactions, workshops, aptitude tests, guidance & counselling classes, competitive exam training, and securing placements for students in reputed organizations. The Training and Placement Cell of the college provides guidance & assistance to enable the students to acquire the best possible employability and entrepreneurship skills.

The college staff club started functioning in 2016 with Rakesh R J(Asst. Professor (CSE) as Coordinator and Salu D.S(Trade Instructor Grade II, EEE) as Treasurer to strengthen the interpersonal relationship between the staff members.

The college boys' accommodation is provided in college-approved hostels with good facilities. The college ensures adequate facilities and other security arrangements for the residence of its students, which will be monitored regularly by the hostel committee.
