Infrastructure is good. You will get all the necessary facilities needed both in lab and in classroom also. wifi service is also there, there is gym and all section also. Hostel is well maintained and Girl hostel is safe and security is there. Auditorium is also there with AC facilities.
I am a 4th year Chemical Engineering student. In HIT chemical engineering is one of the best department in terms of quality teaching and placement. Curriculum is updated and makes you job ready for any chemical industry and you get all the knowledge and fundamentals of chemical engineering.
In terms of my Department (chemical engineering) placement is good, almost everyone gets a company at the end of the course. CS and IT course also gets decent placement. Company like IBM and other tech company also come for placement. Avg. Salary will be around 4 lacs. It can go upto 12 to 14 lacs in core and much more in CS.
Course cost in low , and affordable for everyone even for lower middle family class also and has a decent Return on Investment. Like if 4 lacs in course fee then you will get package around that or more. Course fee includes all the other facilities.
Campus life is good, you will get to explore many things, many clubs are there like acting club, Mechanical clubs etc etc.
Overall the college among one of the best private colleges in West Bengal. Campus life is amazing, many opportunities is there. Course is value for money.
College have great infrastructure. 1st year rooms have no AC that is not good. Instead of that every is good here. Classrooms have smart board facility. Food quality is average. Hostels have wifi facility. Campus is clean and Aryabhatta Library is Awesome, believe me.
I am pursuing Bachelors of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. I am currently in 3rd year. Teaching quality is average here. One cannot rely completely on professors. Focus on your dreams and work hard to get placed.
Placement is average. Almost all CSE students got placed. Average package is somewhat 3.5 to 4 lpa package. If you are good students then you can grab 6-7 lpa package. Approx 80-90% student got placed here
1.10 Lakh per year. It increases year to year. But its value for money comparing other techno like college if you get placed here.
Campus Life is Awesome. Gym facility, Sports, College Annual Fest. There are lots of Clubs in it.
College is quite good. Come and enjoy your college life here.
Being one of the oldest private engineering college the college has good infrastructural facilities but those aren't properly maintained. Basic facilities such as library, Laboratories, smart classroom etc were present. But there is alot of room for improvement.
Academics of this college is average as the curriculum isn't updated upto the industry requirements. The faculties are not enough qualified & experienced apart from a few of them. As it has become an autonomous college recently so there is good opportunity for the college to update it's course outline overall.
The college has a good placement plan for it's students. The training and placement cell takes care of placements on individual basis & tries to bring companies to place the entire batch of different domain.
HIT is one of the oldest engineering college of West Bengal. The college has built it's reputation over the time & tried to provide all the essential facilities & amenities to the students. But still there is much improvement required as the industry demand is changing vastly.
Academics of the college is average. The courses aren't that updated upto the industry standards. The professors are also not that well qualified. But a few of them are good. The college is recently upgrading the curriculum which is actually good but still the result won't be visible overnight.
Placement of HIT is not that bad but for CSE & IT the placement is good but for our batch it was average as students from mechanical went to IT jobs. The college needs to attract core companies for other streams to visit the campus & then only the placement would be much better.
The college has a huge campus followed by very good infrastructure. But the maintenance isn't upto the mark. There is very urgent need to upgrade the infrastructure as well. But nevertheless it has sufficient infrastructure & facilities to address the need of the students.
The academics of this college is pretty average. The professors are qualified but not enough experience though a few of them are really good. The courses are quite backdated & need to be updated. Also everything is about getting GPA but not getting industry relevant knowledge.
Placement of Haldia Institute of Technology is average so far. Mass recruiters do visit the campus & provide package of 3.5 lpa to 5 lpa. But for departments like mechanical, civil the preferred jobs were not offered. Overall for IT & CSE, Placements are decent.
The college is a little bit far from Kolkata & but it has a big campus with a lot grounds for different sports. It has total 3 storage building academic block with hostel in inside & outside the campus. All the labs, library, classrooms are well maintained & stays clean but most of them are non - ac.
In terms of academics, the college has very good & experienced faculty. The course curriculum is also very well designed & provides the essential industry specific knowledge to the students. So, overall good academics.
The placement in the college is decent with most of the placements are for CSE & IT jobs. Other than that new recruiters do visit the campus every year but the package has to be raised a little bit. Students mostly get job here. So, average placement is good.
The BTech can be completed under 5-6 lakhs. Also, entry level job is provided through placements. So, value for money is on average level.
Campus life is good with different sports & other entertainment occasions.
This college has a campus which is huge. And all types of essential amenities are provided whether it is a basketball court, cricket ground, Auditorium, etc. Now the college premises are also maintained quite well on a day-to-day basis. So, overall good infrastructure.
Academics are good over here & most of the teachers are Ph.D. holders. So, they do teach well & make sure that students understand the concepts thoroughly. Also, previously the college was under Makaut but now it is autonomous. So, it has more freedom to teach subjects & provide knowledge to students more efficiently.
The placement of this college is decent. As not many big firms visit this college, most of the recruiters are mass recruiters. Also, most jobs are in either CS (Computer Science) or IT (Informational Technology). So other branch students struggle sometimes to get placed in their domains' jobs.
The fees are not much but the placement is also not that attractive. So, overall it is okay or average.
Quite good and it has improved a lot over the years. We still miss the college days. It has everything which is required in a campus. Gym, playground every thing is upto the mark. Infrastructure is well developed
Can be done better. The curriculum is not up-to-date. More practical knowledge is required. So the college need to change the curriculum make it more practical based. College should hire good faculties.
Placements need to be more versatile. Every domain don't get good opportunities. It and Csc normally gets high paid salary. So the college administration should think about the students and make required adjustments to bring good companies.
Not that much value for money.
Awesome
Decent college with big campus and moderate placement.
Yes ,college do have the necessary infrastructure, infact it has been constructed recently so it looks good. Not all the classrooms are equipped with AC ,but maximum do have.every classrooms have smart board and hostels have wifi facilities.Food quality is average but very good in terms of cleanliness of the campus .
I am pursuing bachelor of technology in Information Technology and currently I am in second year. Teaching quality is average, you can't rely completely on your professors ,you will have to work hard from your end to get placed at the end of the college
Placements is at average level. If you will have enough skills and have worked on yourself during your college period then you will certainly get a job . 80-90 percent of students get placed with an average package lying somewhat between 4-6 lacs
Around 1 lacs per year costs, studing information Technology. Till now ,I feel it is worth paying but at the end what matters is , placements. if you would have a job in your hand after your college then certainly it worth choosing this college
There are lots of clubs here for students engagement.campus life is chill here . Support staffs are quite friendly here . Location of the college is quite good ,you will have an essence of beach here . Lots of greenary in the campus there and parks to sit in the evening
College is quite good but average package is something which is bad in figure
College has all necessary equipment and facilities are moderate level. No doubt classroom ,libraries are osm. Hygienic is moderate level in both hostel and college. The most fascinating thing that I have noticed in my first visit is the ARYABHAT LIBRARY its osm believe me.
I am pursuing b tech in biotechnology as after that I want to move in research field in biotechnology. Teaching quality is good but lab work in biotechnology is average level. Now come to the most important thing placement, it is about 92 % placement rate and avg of about 4.5-5.3 lpa.
Placement quality is osm most of the student are hired by it companies. All the teachers support you till end to ged hired in some best companies. If you are a good student than u got a min package of 6-7lpa in it companies & 4-5 lpa if you are a average student.
1.2 lpa is the fees per annum. No doubt you feel worthy about your money after 4 year if you got placement.
College campus is osm including sport, gym etc facilities . The college annual fest is also osm. Location is not better in my point of view as there is no proper connection of transported.
Come and enjoy your four years of college life and work hard to get a good MNC.
Hello,
The percentile required for admission to Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT) varies depending on the branch you are targeting. Based on previous years' trends:
For CSE, IT, and AI-ML, you typically need 85-90+ percentile.
For ECE, Electrical, and Mechanical, a percentile around 75-85 might be enough.
For Civil, Chemical, and other core branches, admissions are possible with 65-75 percentile.
Hi!
The School of Management and Social Science under the aegis of Haldia Institute of Technology offers a two-year, full-time MBA programme. Students pursuing the MBA programme from this institute get both the placement and internship opportunities.
According to the data released, the institute provided 100% internship opportunity to MBA students from the batch of 2024 and 92% of the batch got placed in various reputed companies in the year 2023. Some of the companies who visited the campus for hiring were Dabur, Axis Bank, Jio, HDFC Life, etc.
HIT is obviously a better college than Narula. HIT itself is a brand in West Bengal in view of its graduated class organization and situation records. Here you will get a decent friend bunch and the existence of complete 4 years, world out of bedlam and harmony wherever where you can investigate the magnificence of grounds, excellence of your inner self, and learn a different part of life.
How about we take you to the placement scenario. The students from CSE, IT, and ECE are put nearly by 75-85%.
So , Choose HIT for B.Tech CSE (main).
Thank You.
