Hello,
Nope getting a CSE branch at this rank is not possible until you have some reservation. You can opt for other courses like core branches or non-technical branches or Information technology(may not be for General category). You can try for FGIET or KNIT or BIET which are also top engineering colleges. you can get a CSE branch there for sure.
Hope it helps!
I'll be dividing this answer into 4 parts depending upon the year.
1st Year
Mess fees are around 2800/Month. College operates for 10 months, so 28000 INR.
Total fees for First Year comes around to be : 330,000 INR.
2nd Year
Everything remains the same and with the changed hostel, the fees for Hostel rises from 25000 to 40000 / Semseter.
Tuition Fees Increases.
Mess fees would rise from 2800–3000 INR.
A total of 360,000 INR would be needed for 2nd year.
3rd Year & 4th Year has almost the same fee structure as of 2nd Year.
Total cost of studying at Thapar including the mess fees is around 15–16 Lacs.
Atop this, your expenditures are in your own hand.

Hello aspirant!
Congratulations on getting such a good rank of 5598 in UPSEE. I think that you are in a very tight position when it comes to getting admission in IET Lucknow. You might be eligible for Mechanical or Chemical branch if possible. Other than that you might have to take up some other college affiliated to AKTU. I hope this information was helpful!
I wish you all the very best!
Hello aspirant!
IET Lucknow is the top college affiliated to AKTU. It is the best among all government colleges in Uttar Pradesh. It has good hostel facilities for both boys and girls. Yes, there is a gym but if you don't find it up to the mark, the college is located in a good area where everything is available.
I wish you all the very best!
Hello aspirant!
Well I am sorry to tell you that you will not get CSE or IT branch in IET Lucknow. You might be eligible for branches like ECE or EE in the other government colleges. You are surely to get a seat in JSS Noida, AKG, KIET and ABESEC. These are some good colleges. I hope this information was helpful!
I wish you all the very best!
Hii,Well, there is a lot to consider while answering this question.Considering that you have only these two options to choose from for continuing your education (because if you have any other better option, then there is no point in asking this question, just go for that choice),let’s now count the measures.
If you’re going to pursue CSE,ECE,IT & EE,then I would recommend you to go for KNIT Sultanpur.I’m currently studying in BIET Jhansi and so I know about the things over here. Not knowing much about KNIT Sultanpur, but I have the info that there is a Codechef Campus Chapter in that college and the programming culture is also very cool.I have a lot of friends over there and they are really good programmers. The faculty is very supportive over there for the programming learning. So if you have a knack of programming, then just go for KNIT Sultanpur.
If you’re pursuing any other branch, then select any of them,it’s not going to matter though.Neither the faculty nor the teaching methodologies of any of the college is so good that you can expect anything productive from that in those fields.
Last thing which many of us would like to mention is the ease of preparation for CAT & GATE.Many of the students in my college think that qualifying GATE or CAT means you’re a good engineer (allow me to laugh for some time). But if you’re really passionate to be an engineer, not someone with just a B.Tech. degree of 80% marks then I hope you know what it means to be an engineer.I also agree that you need to score better in GATE or CAT for your higher studies but what’s the point of preparing for higher studies if you’re not interested in your graduation studies.I have a batch full of Electronics Engineers but if you ask them about the core MNCs of Electronics, then many of them would just sit silent. So if you just have to prepare for GATE or CAT,select anyone,it totally depends on you and how you prepare for the exam. All the prerequisites for the preparation will be same in both the colleges.Hope you find my answer helpful.
Hello Aman,
Well today it is not too bad to do b tech from Iet khandari .the university is improving well. if u not get a IIT or nit or top collg of uptu u should go with this. dayalbagh is best than this with nirf ranking of 71 but they not have cse branch in their collg and about Agra collg there is zero placement and if u do well in Iet khandari u get at least a job in MNC like Infosys ,cognizant, capegemini.improvement are also made due to npiu project .smart classes are made and labs has all eqipments. It is not too good as i say wisely or it is also not too bad .it is of medium standard collg .
.
Present time iet ,agra much better than other state University and Private colleges except just like bhu and iet lucknow . Engineering institute of dr. B. R. Ambedkar University is well growing institute as compared to other institutions in present scenario. The faculty of Computer science engineering, Electronics and communication engineering ,civil engineering , electrical engineering are good, Institution didn't do very much in past few years but from last year we can see it growing day by day, the development is incredible. It will surely become one of the best institution for engineering in 2_-3 years in Uttar Pradesh.

The infrastructure of IET Lucknow is well-equipped and efficient for students. The hostel and library amenities are reliable, and the Wi-Fi connection is stable throughout the campus. The campus is safe, and hostel entry is controlled appropriately. Classrooms have projectors and adequate seating.
The infrastructure of the college is in shambles to tell frankly. The library has strange restrictions for taking up laptops. Classrooms and labs are okay with satisfactory and Wi-Fi connections are provided. Hostels are terrible. Food is tasteless and only one canteen is there on campus. The sports complex of college has been under construction for past few years with yet no completion in sight.
The library is good; all books are available in our college library. There is no need to buy books from outside as the library allows borrowing books for a particular time. Classes are fully modern and clean. The computer labs are also clean, and all systems are in running condition. Wi-Fi facility is available but does not work properly.
