Hello friend, Siddaganga Institute of Technology (SIT) is a technological institute in Karnatak, India. It is run by the Sri Siddaganga Educational Society.The institute was established in 1963 starting with three courses leading to Bachelor of Engineering in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. It now offers undergraduate degree courses in 12 disciplines. In addition, it runs post-graduates programmes in 14 disciplines, including MBA and MCA courses. It has nearly 5000 students with a faculty strength of about 310. It became an autonomous institution under Visvesvaraya Technological University in 2007-08 with the last VTU batch graduating in 2010. The institute code of SIT is 1rc.

Both NIE college and SIT college are good but I would prefer you to choose NIE college, Mysore. The placements here are good not only for the software branches but also for the core branches. Companies such as mercedes,Amazon,Google, Mindtree, Accenture and many MNC's visit the campus with good packages. The college has a record of 100% placement every year.

Mechanical Engineering

Bio Medical Engineering

Bio Technology

Metallurgical Engineering

Mining Engineering.

The best option here is Mechanical Engineering and it is one of the best branches at NIT Raipur too.

There might be the chance 3 years ago when there was 40% weightage given to 12th boards and 60% to JEE Mains marks. But now criteria is changed and whole thing is decided on the basis of JEE Mains score, and with 62.5 percentile I don't think, you have a chance to get into NIT.

Hi ! Yes, you can get any of one such college. IIIT Karnataka is a mediocre college which you can get after some rounds in Jossa counselling. If not then also don't worry because you will get it through mop up round, because vacancies are always there. Getting nit Karnataka is bit tough with this rank. So hope you understand and best of luck to you.

Hello aarnav, it is not like that you are stating. The professor give the geniune results/marks to the students. There exist some eligiblity criteria for sitting in interviews of some companies, if you doesn't meet the eligiblity criteria then you will not be allowed to sit in the interview. But there exist some companies which let the 5-6 cgpa students to sit in their interviews. If you have to achieve good placement then you have to study hard.
