Hello,

Admission in to Engineering course in DTU is based on All India Rank secured in JEE Main. Last year a candidate belonging to OBC (outside Delhi region) with 9789 All India Rank secured admission to Computer Science Engineering in Delhi Technological University in ninth round of the counselling. Considering the previous year cut off you do not have chances to get seat in CSE in DTU. However, you may get seat in different branch in DTU and here is the list of courses in which you may get seat based on previous year cut off

  • Civil Engineering
  • Engineering Physics
  • Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Auto
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Production & Industrial Engineering
  • Environmental Engineering
  • Bio-Technology

The cut off changes every year depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.

Hello Aspirants,

Hope you doing well,  I would suggest you to go with NIT Silchar as going in NIT you would get many opportunities and a  tag of NIT too and there the placement of Electronics are great they offer a decent package and in case of DTU they gives 75% placements on campus. But, for Biotechnology there are no core companies which visit the college. Only 2 or 3 companies visits like mankind pharma or Ranbaxy. So placements for biotechnology are not good in DTU

if you want to know which colleges are accepting your rank you can check it with the help of Jee College Predictor where you have to put your rank or marks and you will be shown a list of the colleges according to their ranking with their placement fees and everything and here you can make a wise decision to get into a good college so go for it and check it now here's the link

Placements and Faculty as well as Infrastructure and Research Facilities are comparable in either DTU, NSUT or IIIT Delhi CSE. Incase youre interested in Research, I would suggest you IIIT Delhi. Otherwise considering strong Academic and Employer Outlook, preference is definitely NSUT CSE, DTU CSE followed by IIIT D CSE. Incase you want a diverse and vibrant campus life, involvements in fests, DTU provides a better experience.

Hi aspirant, since you have 9598 EWS CRL rank in your JEE mains exam so based on that let me tell you that at this rank it is somehow not possible for you to get into DTU with CSE branch but you wanna to go in DTU with some other core branch like civil, instrument or mechanical than there are some chances that you may get a seat in these branch there.

Thank You.

Hi aspirant, since you have 4613 SC category rank so based on that you may easily get any good NIT for sure;

  • NIT, Trichy
  • NIT, Rourkela
  • NIT, Raipur
  • NIT, Nagaland
  • NIT, Calicut
  • NIT, Warangal
  • MNIT, Jaipur

Etc.

For more colleges you can also take help of below mentioned link of JEE mains college predictor;

Thank You.

First of All, let me Correct you. It's COE as in Computer Engg in NSIT
Considering the fact that You haven't mentioned your interests, I'm assuming You have equal Inclination in both the fields!!
For Branches like COE/IT or even ECE You should prefer NSIT over DTU..
For Core Branches like Mechanical, DTU would be a Better Option!

PS : Comp. Engg is the most Coveted branch of Any College; if you don't have interest in Electronics, go for COE at NSIT!

I believe your first preference should be NSUT Delhi as far as CSE or IT is concerned, followed by DTU, IIITD and then IGDTUW. Most of the above Institutes in Delhi being located near IT and Technology Hubs of Delhi NCR have excellent career scope and placement prospects, although the Campus Life of DTU is more vibrant and diverse compared to other institutes. Many candidates do prefer DTU over NSUT and vice versa.

Hi,

Following are some facts about both institute:

Delhi Technical University :

NIRF Rank: 36 (2021)

Highest CTCINR 13 LPA

Average CTCINR 7.2 LPA

NIT Agartala

NIRF Ranking: 92 (2021)

Average CTC - Rs 5 LPA

Highest CTC - Rs 36 LPA

You are getting Bio Technology in both Institute. I would suggest you to go for DTU. DTU has better Placement record. Also it's ranking is way higher in NIRF than NIT Agartala. If you are interested in research then, DTU also has High Scopus index & Rank than NIT Agartala. Also DTU has better reputation in Higher academics than NIT Agartala. This doesn't mean tha NIT Agartala is bad, But DTU is better than NIT Agartala.

Thanks!!!!!

Hiii

Unfortunately NO, you would not have the option to get a seat in Computer Science or ECE in either DTU or NSIT with your position.

A position under 6k would be needed to get entrance into ECE in any of these 2 universities, and to get a seat in Computer Science a position under 30 should 90% secure you a seat. Despite the fact that we have seen shorts vary a considerable amount, yet a major variety probably won't be conceivable.
