Over all glad to have changed from engineering to MBA

    College Infrastructure

We have all the state of the art tech, and on the way of having a new knowledge center, campus is beautiful although a little far from the city but campus bus makes it very easy to commute to and from the city. We have also got syndicate rooms for after class group discussions which we can use as per our convenience.

    Academics

Its a case based curriculum as most of the b-schools. We have electives covering almost all domains, with special focus on analytics. Though there are less courses for operations, but they facilitate many certifications related to that. I did my green belt six sigma certification in first year only.

    Placements

we have 100% placement record, many major firms visit our campus, due to proximity to Gurugram and Delhi we can say we have a location advantage. Many startups also visited for summer placement. A thabks yo a very grueling placement committee selection process which helps drawing out the best of us who make this happen.

    The experience was good.

    College Infrastructure

Yes we do have all the facilities like water cleaner, washing machine, wifi, Ac classrooms and hostel rooms, sports ground, basketball ground. We have a big space and a lot of space. The rooms and mess area is clean. We have a seperate big building for library of 4 floors.

    Academics

I am pursuing a master's degree in business administration and currently in second year. We are doing specialization in different fields according to our interest. I am during specialization in marketing. We do have some very good faculties in marketing and HR and an average level faculties in finance and operations. Our curriculum is updated regularly and we are also taught by visiting faculties from top 7 IIMs.

    Placements

Our placement report have improved over the years and have reached around average 14 lakhs per annum. There is always a 100% placement. We always have out placement process inside the campus and our placement committee is very helpful in clarifying any doubt regarding it. The highest package was around 28 lakhs and are visited some of the big consulting and marketing firms.

    Value for Money

We are paying 16 lakhs for 2 years PGDM course including everything like mess and other facilities provided by the college. Although i think, ROI is less and we don't get total worth of our money.

    Campus Life

Campus life is very good. It is a residential course where all boys and girls live in their dormitories. Activities are organized by cultural committee regularly and we get to celebrate every achievement. Professors, staffs, our seniors and even our batch is very supportive. It has a safe environment and medical emergencies are properly handled by student council.

    College Infrastructure

Infrastructure as you would expect from an IIM, is great. It has a Knowledge Resource Center which is one of the biggest of its kind in the country with multiple subscriptions to various journals. A Student Activity Centre with Gymnasium, Indoor Badminton Courts and indoor sports facilities. There is a common ground for football and cricket which is quite decent. Research labs and Classrooms with projectors. Wifi across major areas in the campus. A store for all your essentials and food cravings

    Academics

The methodology and pedagogy is great. The coursework is pretty updated and decent, making you learn practically and get real world knowledge. The coursework is diverse in nature with a broad classification of subjects under Humanities, Mathematics and Economics in the IPM programme. Quality of teaching not the coursework has a slight scope for improvement.

    Placements

Placements have been a good aspect of this college. Around 12 lacs per annum of average package of a graduate and highest package of 24.13 lacs in 2019. Expected average package is set to go up with Delloite picking up students from the college and companies like Goldman Sachs visiting the college. Since the IPM batch is in its first year and inception, the placement scenario is blurry but expect it to be more or less similar to the PGP-MBA graduates. 100% placements since first year is decent.

    Value for Money

The IPM course costs 4.10 lacs INR per annum. Including all the fees involved like mess fee, the final course fee inclusive of personal expenses should lie below 5 lacs INR per annum. The experience is great and one of a kind at an IIM thus if you can afford, it is one of the best courses. However again, it is not very affordable so 4 stars.

    Campus Life

Okay, here are a few restrictions for the IPM batch like in-time in hostels is 10:30 pm, after which you are supposed to stay in the hostels until the morning. Now the rules seem justified as the kids enrolled in the programme are 18 year olds and first time at such a campus. It's in their interests to restrict them from indulging themselves in any undesirable activity. There are no restrictions for any of the other programmes however. The rating is for IPM programme.

    Others

I am still in the first year of this IPM batch and learning new things, grabbing opportunities, being open to experiences. I will highly rate the programme not only because I am a part of it but for it is actually a great experience.

Have a question related to IIM Rohtak ?

I scored 94%ile and i wanted to apply for IIM Rohtak. Their general category cutoff is 97%ile. Will they consider my application since i dont meet the minimum cutoff as required? Should i apply?

    Hello,

IIM Rohtak's general category cutoff of 97%ile indicates that applications below this threshold are typically not considered.

Here is what you can consider :-

    • Exceptions : If you possess exceptional achievements (academic, professional, or extracurricular), you may be considered under certain conditions.
    • Time and Cost : Applying below the cutoff may result in rejection, so evaluate if the effort and application fee are worth the attempt.
    • Alternative Options : Focus on other institutes with cutoffs aligning with your score.
    • Decision : Applying is unlikely to succeed, but if IIM Rohtak is a priority, consider it as a low-probability chance.

    Hope it helps !
