The faculty is overall good and infrastructure is decent. The amount of exposure one can get in this university is amazing if one is opportunistic and knows how to charm others. Seniors are very helpful and well-experienced. Their mooting and debating experiences are surely one of the best things about this university. Hostel facilities are average as one will have to adapt the weather of Jodhpur and administration doesn't really provide any kind of services as such.Placement is pretty good and one needs to maintain a CV that will attract recruiters. And for this, one needs to maintain their grades from the very beginning.

Being ranked in one of the top law schools in India, NLU Jodhpur stands out in many aspects some being infrastructure, academics, and culture. It has a beautiful and vibrant 55- acre campus which includes an acad block, an administrative block, a library, a convention centre , a cricket ground, a football field, a tennis and a badminton court. The campus has 5 boys' and 8 girls' halls of residence. Diversity is one of the first things I experienced when in stepped into this college as it has students with different backgrounds coming from all over the country. It also hosts some of the most sought- after fests such as NH-65(cultural fest) and Yuvardha (sports fest). The extensive course curriculum of the college makes sure you learn to manage your academics and other activities at the same time and that too, effectively. There are a number of committees like the Moot Court, Academic Support, and Literary committee, Sports, Cultural and the Legal Aid and Awareness Committee. their work not only helps us in understanding the working of the college but also in the five years that we spend here, they give us many opportunities to grow in different fields of our liking. Thus life at NLUJ is hectic, stressful and full of surprises. but it is also a place you will surely fall in love with. The stressful environment here prepares us for the gruelling world outside and is worth the pain of going through all the hard work because in the end, it gets you where you want to be.

The best part about the college is the freedom that you have and the guidance and support from the few amazing teachers that we have. The hostels are single seater which gives you your privacy when needed. The crowd here is diverse and again you'll meet some of the best people here. Being a government university it is pretty affordable however the fee is higher than most of the other NLUs as we don't have any state reservation and hence a much lower state funding. We have three caterers in college so you will have your options but don't have very high expectations from any of them. Overall this place will be an amazing experience.

My first impression while stepping foot in NLUJ was, "how will I survive the unbearable heat!", but through the course of 4 years, despite it's locational disadvantage, unpredictable weather, and scorching sun, I have seen the campus transform from a desolate desert to a lush green oasis and the first years do not have the same complaints anymore. We at NLUJ have the best mess services from among all the CLAT colleges that we have ever been to or heard about - offering exceptional variety with three fully functional mess areas, one fruit shop, and two tuck shops (not to mention the 4 dhabas right outside college which is where you'll find half the college after classes). Other facilities include a unisex gym, Cultural Room with mirrored wall, a two-floor library building with four halls, a dedicated Moot Court Discussion Room, Placement Cell Office, Medical Centre, football field, volleyball football and tennis courts, an indoor badminton court, and about 10 gazebos. There are students from all regions and religions here. We are the only college in the top 5 law colleges in India which offers a BBA course, and I believe this course helped me immensely in securing my placement in a top tier corporate law firm on Day Zero. Our alumni are now well placed in law firms in both India and abroad, private practices in all major high courts, teaching at law colleges internationally, or pursuing further studies from ivy league colleges. This helps the students immensely in securing internships, research work, guidance and sponsorship for international competitions. While students of NLUJ are known for our exemplary mooting achievements, not every student moots, and the college offers them other pathways to excellence such as debating, legal aid work, publication of legal journals, and pro bono access to legal education for the underprivileged. In fact, the "Law Student of the Year" award recipients for both 2015 and 20016 are from our college. All in all, it is a wonderful institution to begin your foray into the legal profession and I would certainly recommend it to everyone!

The Best 5 years of my life

I've spent the past four and a half years at NLU Jodhpur and I've spent the best and worst times of my life here. Being a fully residential campus, it really forces you to grow up and fly out of the nest you were brought up in. The college is located in Jodhpur, which is a great tourist destination but gets boring for young people as there isn't much to do, especially if one is used to the glitz and glamour of the metropolitan life. One of the best things about the hostel life here is single rooms. This ensures that you don't have to share your space with someone, even though the general exuberance of hostel life ensures that you're never bored. Apart from this, the college has decent infrastructure, including several sports facilities, and 3 types of messes offering both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. The food here is oily and spicy, but it's probably the best among all NLUs. The industry exposure to the students is great as we have a strong alumni base. The Placement Cell organizes lectures and internships to ensure that students get the best industry exposure, However, sadly, this does not permeate the academic system, which like most Indian colleges, is often outdated. The experience of spending 5 years in a city like Jodhpur is unlike anything else. it's gorgeous, with great historical roots. However, most of the places cater to tourists and few are student friendly. It's a small town where people can often be judgemental and there isn't any pub culture of the nightlife scene, really. However, the students often organize parties near the college and this ensures constant fun. As far as placements go, we've been doing really well. The Placement Cell ensures that each student has a fair chance to compete, and if the student makes a reasonable effort, getting a decent job is not difficult. However, that obviously depends on the student's CV and interview performance and the college is only a facilitator. The faculty in college is not great, overall, but we do have some great teachers. However, this is the situation in nearly every top law school in the country. At the end of the day, you just need to learn on your own and make efforts to do so. The student crowd here is really diverse, with people from all geographical locations, socio-economic backgrounds, castes and creeds coming together. This itself is one of my favourite things about college life because it provides a lot of exposure and knowledge, which a local college never could. All in all, despite the challenges, this is the one place that I have grown to love and cherish. it's made me grow up. It's made me the person I am today and instilled a sense of confidence and ambition in me.

An Institution of Opportunities, true of its reputation

Batch of 2019 | BA LLB Hons
National Law University is a University which is true to its reputation. It is one of the best institutions to pursue law and one's dream of being a successful and knowledgeable lawyer. The University has a decent infrastructure and stretches to an area of 55 acres. The Halls of Learning are well structured with spacious and air-conditioned classes. The Library is huge and filled all the latest as well as authoritative books, Journals, etc. providing the students with wide scope for learning and research and also has a wi-fi connection. Along with proper academic facilities, the University also has recreational facilities with a big playground, basketball court, volleyball court, cricket field and a sports centre for indoor games. No doubt the University hosts a magnificent biennial sports event "Yuvardha" where a number of colleges participate and show their athletic skills. The University also hosts an equally grand biennial Cultural fest "NH-65". Coming back to the infrastructure. The University has good hostel facilities with single-occupied rooms. The hostels clean and hygienic and several cleaners are employed to clean the rooms and the entire hostel on a daily basis. There is 3 mess in the University which are on a canteen basis. They have elaborate menus and you can choose whatever you want to eat according to your wish. This is one facility which I have never come across in any other college and is pretty good as the students have a lot of options to choose from. Not to forget the food is to quite an extent hygienic and made with special care. Any instances of negligence are a rarity. Infrastructure and living conditions on one side, let us come to the point NLUJ is most renowned for. The corporate exposure of the university is really commendable. Our university sees placements from one of the most renowned legal firms of the country, for eg. Amarchand Mangaldas, Luthra & Luthra, Khaitan, etc. During the whole academic year, a number of guest lectures from highly acknowledged academicians. The University very enthusiastically promoting mooting culture and presently stands at Rank 1 in the Mooting Premier League. The University has seen some excellent mooters in its past years and continues to produce more with their guidance. Apart from this Parliamentary Debates, Negotiation Competitions, MUNs, etc. are part of the academic culture of the University. The faculty of the University is also decent, however, the students may face problems with certain faculties. The student life, however, gets very hectic sometimes with piles of work loaded on the student's head at the same time. The schedule is very hectic and sometimes a student ends up with a test, Court Room Exercise, assignment and project in the same week. This aspect of the University is a bit scary and also to some extent unreasonable in my opinion because it prevents the students in giving their 100% on something. However, with time you learn to manage that also and this helps you to become a multi-tasker, something which is required a lot in our field. The crowd on an average consists of quite intelligent and academically inclined people, especially our seniors who are always ready to help us. A very important thing that our campus is a no-ragging campus and there are just very light-hearted interactions between the seniors and the freshers to break the ice. The whole University life is in a nutshell is a complete package that will help with one's overall development and will provide a promising legal career.

Infrastructure wise the college is great. The 55 acre campus is fully developed. Unique thing being the Gazebos everywhere near the hostels and mess arc. College has made huge investments in plantation and that has truly contributed to the greenery that can be seen. Industry exposure is good in terms of lecture series and international internship programs are concerned. There are many committees that keep on organising lectures and workshops that give a good exposure. There is some or the other event happening and also there are food stalls by famous restaurants being put up when these events are taking place. This makes this place even better. As far as placement is concerned there pretty decent. Placement Cell is more active in this semester and it seems promising. Faculty is a concern. But few professors are really good. We hope that the standard would improve with coming time. Course Structure has also gone many changes which is good for coming batches.

National law university , Jodhpur had always been my dream college since as far as I can remember and now that I am finally a part of it , I plan on embracing and soaking every bit of it . It is a truly beautiful college in every way . The campus is very pleasant and green . Cleanliness and hygeine is very well taken care of . The college has an extremely intellectual atmosphere , one that really inspires you to do better and keep updated . Our seniors are very helpful and cool . They are very much open for interaction and helping us . This is a rare feature of our college as compared to others . The faculty is interactive and hard working .The level of academics is really competitive and so is the atmosphere . A lot of stress is put on academics in our college . The college also provides us with a plethora of opportunities which give us an opportunity for positive growth and development .International moots , debates , fests and cultural activities are a regular feature of the college life . The students are all rounders and in a way , over achievers . They have an excellent sense of time management and way of prioritising. The factulty and support staff at our college also deserves praise for having a soft corner for its students. The way they bond is a rare sight. The placement cell is very active and diligent . Excellent placements take place at our college and it is reputed for that . It is a privelege to be a part of this institution . I hope my obsession with it never ceases . I haven't felt more at home at any other place .

NLU-J has a very resourceful library that provides access to world-class study material. Also, it provides with on campus hostel facility for all students and variety of mess. Distinguished personalities are called to give the lecture on aspects of law so that students get more clarity on future prospects. Also, many centres have been established for enhancing the corporate exposure to the students. A lot of events take place in the college which makes the college life very colourful. Every festival is celebrated with great zeal. The faculty is highly distinguished who are well-versed in their respective field of knowledge, is easily approachable and student friendly.

The college has a very lively atmosphere and the hostel experience is wonderful. The exposure to the industry is great and the student-run committees ensure that all students participate in a maximum number of activities. The alumni network is also a very wrong support system for the students of the university.

The college life at NLU, Jodhpur is always buzzing! That is one word I'd like to describe it with. There are always some events, be it academic or extracurricular or cultural. The infrastructure is pretty decent in relative terms, but to be qualified absolutely excellent, I feel some additions would be required. The curriculum is rich and engaging, and the student crowd is talented and reciprocative. On the whole an experience worth gaining for a duration of five years!

NLU Jodhpur is a beautiful campus, situated in the middle of nowhere. It is lush green, in stark contrast to the immediate surroundings, and the serene beauty of the campus is breathtaking throughout the year. The students in our college are of extremely varied backgrounds. All types of cities, states and ethnicities find representation in our student body. This makes the campus culture a vibrant mix of the modern and the traditional. We organize many events and festivals throughout the year.Even on the academic and competitive front, we are an extremely dedicated University. We have consistently performed well in top-ranked moots and debates and have inculcated a culture of the same in the students as well. Our placements have been pretty good in the past few years and you can find our alumni in most reputed firms across the country.

NLU Jodhpur has great facilities for sports, an active student culture, lots of committees, fests and intra-collegiate events. It has a good library and a beautiful, green campus. For better industry exposure, the college could have better faculty in the early years. Although the library is fairly good, the speed of updating it is slow. College life for me was enjoyable because of the tightly knit group of friends that I have - seniors, batchmates, and juniors alike. Be it mooting, playing a sport or just drinking chai overlooking a lush, green football field - I thoroughly enjoyed the company I had. I received an offer from a top-tier corporate law firm. We get single bedrooms equipped with internet facilities. The room is large enough for one person. The toilets are kept clean. Our college professors could be more articulate and interactive in their approach to the subjects. The student crowd in the college is active and diverse. There is a very strong mooting and debating culture. Since there are only about 500 undergraduate students in college, students enjoy a well-knit, comfortable environment. The college is reasonably affordable.

I am a fourth year student at National Law University Jodhpur, and I feel that I have spent enough time in law school, to pen down my experiences so far. Located in the blue city of Jodhpur, one of the most challenging parts here is definitely the extreme climate. Other than that, the city is an extremely peaceful place to be in, with the old city being the favourite place for us students to go to. To begin with, I would like to talk about that part of my college life, which seemed to be the most important one before I came to college; the part being education. Even though it might obviously seem to be the aspect which would make majority of the difference to one’s life, more often than not, it isn’t. I agree that having good teachers and resources is very essential, but what I want to say here is that there are several other factors which have a greater impact on a student’s life. In my three years of law school, I have been taught by several teachers and in general, I would like to say that our University has a good faculty for most subjects. The teachers are highly qualified individuals, who are extremely knowledgeable in their respective fields. Moving on, I would like to focus on the more significant elements of college in my opinion. Our college has commendable facilities available for various kinds of sports. From an indoor badminton court to an extremely well maintained football field, we have facilities for most sports, which form a major part of the college. With regard to the resources available to us for education, we have a well-stocked library which has numerous books on all the subjects. One of the things which I miss in college though, is a Wi-Fi network available everywhere. Even though we have LAN cables available in our rooms, the lack of a Wi-Fi network is visible every time we are in the mess area and using our phones. One of my favourite things about our University is the fact that all students are provided with a single room for themselves. The idea of having to share my room with some stranger for the next five years of my life was dreadful before I came to NLU-J, only to realise that I would not have to go through the trauma. Even though now I would not mind having a room-mate, but the fact that at the end of a tiring day, I can come back and relax in my own room in whatever way I wish is definitely better. The next most important thing for me is the food available. We have quite a few options available for our everyday meals, given that we have three different caterers. However, after having completed more than half of my term here, like most others, there are days when the food in the mess just does not seem like an option. On days like such, we resort to ordering some food from one of the many restaurants that deliver to our college. To say the least, this place is a wonderful place to be in and I will definitely miss it once I graduate. Even after various shortcomings such as no electricity on a Sunday, consecutive tests, home-sickness, etc., the people around me have made this experience worthwhile.

"The National Law University, Jodhpur is one of the premier law schools in the country and is located on the outskirts of the city of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Infrastructure and facilities- It has a jaw-dropping campus in terms of its size and greenery amidst the desert. It is a 55-acre campus, has an acad block, an administrative block, a two-storeyed library, a convention centre, and other sports amenities. We have three messes; one purely vegetarian. The other being Sanyam Mess, which serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian and the R.K Mess. The campus also has an SBI branch that makes our life a bit easier. A noticeable thing about the campus is the presence of Gazebos (canopies built of stone). The gazebo right opposite my hostel is the place where I first spoke to my batch mates and eventually they became my very good friends. So yeah, gazebos play a very important role in our life as college students where we discuss from college assignments to the next minute plan of going out. Other essentials like the LAN, water facilities, and on-call nurses are available 24/7. College life - The college has 4 main committees; the ASLC (Academic Support and Literary Committee), the Moot Court Committee, the Cultural Committee and the Sports Committee. Due to its cultural diversity, every festival in college is celebrated with fun frolic. the Intra-College Sports Festival, Polemos brings out everyone's competitive spirits, the Annual Moot Court Competition, Anti-Trust is held in February-March, and the ASLC is responsible for all academic related activities. These committees also host intra-college competitions in the month of April annually from academic week to a sports week. The fests of NLU-Jodhpur are those which can't be compared anywhere else. Held biennially and alternatively, NH-65 (The Cultural and Literal Festival) and Yuvardha (The Sports Fest) brings close to 700 students from various law colleges across the country. The college also has parties, most significant of them being the Freshers and the Farewell. Academics - Coming to the last and most fundamental part of NLU Jodhpur, the academic excellence of the university has begun to receive more and more praises with each culminating year. The course curriculum goes under periodic changes so as to cater to the dynamic field of law and education. Moot courts – Cluj has flared in various moot court competitions, national and international. Our university is recognized as the college with the best mooting experience nationally and is also ranked No.1 on the MPL (Mooting Premier League).

NLUJ- An Unpredictable Place

The best part of the college is that its fully developed and there is absolutely no compromise on it. There is a common gym, two mess buildings, Halls of residence acad block, 2 floored library, sports complex etc. The faculty is a concern for the college as there is a dearth of good teachers. This has been ignored since many students are capable enough to find a way out. Several petitions regarding teachers have been filed but they have all went in vain. This remains an area which the management needs to acts on immediately. Industry Exposure is decent enough. We have Herbert Smith Lecture series being organised recently in which about 150 students participated. There have been many lecture series by eminent professors and advocates from abroad as well. The college does have a party culture and there are several inter college events going on which saves you from the boredom of academics. Placements are decent enough but are largely dependent on how students perform in their respective internships. Exposure is limited to Law firms and other areas such as PSUs in-house counsels, judiciary are not that promoted or encouraged. Hostels have all the basic amenities. Moving in and out of campus is regulated. Student Crowd is quite diversified. By my own experience, I have been able to jell up with people from different states. Also, there are lot of committees which you can be part of like the MCC, Acad committee, Cultural Committee, College administration has become more student friendly since past few months which is the result of the continous effort of the student community. Now there seems to be a balance between the disciplinary actions and freedom of students which promotes a healthy relation between the student community and the administration. A word of Caution: College has been receiving constant criticism from the local media which can mislead people about the reputation of the college. Half of the stories are cooked up.

The college campus is something one falls in love with, the very first day although the need of air conditioners is felt immensely. The best part about the hostels is the single occupancy system. The professors are well versed in their subjects and knowledgeable as well.

College Infrastructure is one of the most invested areas by the administration, so there is absolutely no compromise on that. All the essential infrastructures like Library, sports complex, Vegetable shop, Amul Parlour, Photocopy shop etc are there. Hostels are pretty decent. Best thing is that you are allowed individual rooms. College life is happening in terms of fests and other inter college events such as sports events, Cultural events, moot court etc which keeps on taking place around the semester. Placement is an area of concern for many people because college placement cell is a little inefficient in catering to the requirements of students who want to pursue a career in a different area such as the judiciary, Civil Services, litigation ( these career options are not promoted at all) apart from taking up jobs in big law firms. Another issue remains the standard of faculty that has gone down since I ever joined college. Fresh grads have been filling up the vacancies, so they obviously lack experience and knowledge. This becomes very frustrating at times. Student don't approve the teaching method that some of the teachers adopt. Student Diversity is a healthy thing in the college. You get to understand different people. Interaction amongst different batches is also good. People tend to jell up quickly here. Though life becomes little tough if you are an introvert. As the administration has put in a lot of money in providing a good infrastructure, the fees are quite proportionate. Affordability would lately depend on the financial condition, otherwise, it seems to be affordable to most of the students who wish to study here. Opportunities for Aditya Birla Scholarship and aid from IDIA works pretty much, so affordability is not an issue.

One True Place to Explore Yourself

Batch of 2018 | BBA LLB Hons
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college includes one academic block, one management building, two Mess building, two halls of residence blocks and Library Building. The campus has beautiful gardens in mess arc, hostels and faculty quarters Facilities: Sports facilities include the football field, volleyball court, basketball court, tennis court and badminton court. Other Facilities include internet access via Lan, Boys Saloon, Laundry Shop, Book Shop, Amul Parlour, SBI Bank and ATM adjoining the college premise. College Life: The best part of the college is its ability to accommodate cultural diversity. All Indian Festivals- Onam, Diwali, Holi, Easter etc. are celebrated with full spirit. The college has also been hosting some of the most successful events such as NH_65( Cultural Fest) and Yuvardha (Sports Fest). Placement: Placement of college has been satisfactory. But since the past years, it has been stagnant. The college has not been able to attract more firms and companies. Placements are limited to few firms. At least 10% of the placements from every batch is through PPO. There is a need for more workshops to be conducted by the placement cell for the students to decide over best places to intern. Education: Course Structure has undergone many changes since past few years. This would have a positive impact. Also, many lecture series by elite professors from reputed colleges in India and abroad are being conducted. The pattern of teaching and conducting Tests is also satisfactory. Faculty: College has a considerably low grading in terms of faculty. Many of them are just passed outs with no or very less teaching experience. The method in which subjects are allowed to teachers is also flawed.Few teachers are not interested in the subject that they teach. Faculty not only lacks experience but knowledge also. Hostel Life: Individual rooms are provided with all the essentials. Students have the discretion to pool in for washing machine. Student Crowd: The Student Crowd is overall decent. Cultural Diversity is being maintained in every batch. The environment is very competitive and a little less friendly for the same reason. Peer pressure is something which will constantly dictate your college life. Affordability: The college fees is proportionate to the facilities provided and hence is affordable.

National Law University, Jodhpur

My experience at National Law University, Jodhpur has been amazingly good but a little hectic. It has a 55-acre campus, which includes an academic block, an administrative block, a two storied library, a convention centre, a cricket ground, a football field, a tennis court and a sports complex. The halls of residence have single room occupancy. There are both veg and non-veg cafeteria and the quality of food is good. NLUJ has a number of active committees like the Mooting, Academic, Cultural, Sports and the Legal Aid committee to name a few, which hold a number of orientation programmes to help you ease into college life. The college has a very good mooting culture. Apart from having the intra-competition for the allocation of moots, there is a system of Court Room Exercise or CRE, which is an academic take of mooting, and is compulsory for all the law subjects. This ensures that every student of the college has at least a minimal idea about the courtroom proceedings and about mooting culture. The only downside of the academic programme is the system of Continuous Assessment. Under this system, there four tests in every subject every semester, apart from the midterm exam or project and the end term. These tests make it difficult to manage the academic studies with co-curricular activities. But once you get used to the system, things become easier.

The University provides residential accommodation to each student attending College and even students residing locally are provided residence in the University hostels. Each student is provided with a single private room and an À la carte system for buying food at the mess. I think Jodhpur is definitely one of the least known about law schools, but one which is doing so well for itself and it's students. Apart from an uncooperative administration, the college provides little short of everything a law aspirant can ask for. The system creates an incentivised environment offering ample opportunity for academic and extracurricular growth. Whether it be sport to academic research, the opportunities here are ample. And this is the best college at moots in the country.

Infrastructure- We have it all, hostels, library, sports centre, a fairly big academic block. However, the facilities are not maintained properly and were probably not even constructed keeping in mind contemporary needs. Corporate Exposure- Alumni. Our Alumni consist of some of the best placed corporate personalities. They are the biggest pro and their assistance can help in a huge way. College Life- Can't change the fact we are in the middle of nowhere. But we make do. Placements- Due to our own efforts, a lot of students are able to secure amazing placements. Basic Things we lack- Proper medical facilities. We lack essential medical facilities. Just hope you don't have an emergency medical need here, ever.

How to grow up in a University

Being a student at NLU Jodhpur, you get a fabulous lifestyle. You learn to manage your time, party till you pass out, still manage to have your grades up and other stuff. See, I grew up in one year. This place forced me to. You have a test the next day, you can still party the night before. You can do whatever you want as long as you do your work right. You learn that most of the times, your ends can justify your means. Just be happy and accepting. Don't fret because you have a lot of work. Most of the time, you can do all work in one day and still party.

Most of the sporting facilities, single seater rooms, decent internship experiences and very nice student crowd from all parts of the country, who are not just academically sound but also are good in mooting, debates etc. But, more can be done in terms of hiring better faculty.

Life at NLUJ

Posted on 28 Aug' 16 by Reeya Benedict
Batch of 2019 | B.Sc LLB Hons
NLUJ provides it's students amble opportunities to excel academically and ensures that maximum students are placed as they graduate. We also take mooting very seriously. In 2015,we bagged rank 1 in MPL. The faculty is exemplary. The campus is enabled high standard facilities and a state of the art library. The halls of residence requires special mention. The students are given individual rooms, which they can furnish according to their wish. There is diversity in the student community that arrives every year. So there is no chance for culture shock. The food court provides different cuisines at subsidized rates. The campus is student friendly. NLUJ caters to every need of a law student.

My college is a great place for people who are willing to work hard to build a career. At the same time, the teachers aren't good (most of them) and hence that has indirectly helped us to build and maintain an immense senior-junior relationship. The work and hours we put in for daily classes is not a joke and quite unlike other colleges. But we know our share of fun. College is a great cosmopolitan set up with people of varied talents, interests. Each moment is a thing to learn. Having said that, it's pretty clear that it's only students which keep it running here and give NLU-J the name it has today. Sadly, the admin is sometimes immature and insensitive.

NLUJ is one of the best places for law students across the country. It provides us with not the best but pretty decent and good infrastructure. However, there is nothing which can be called "the best", there is always room for improvement. Therefore, I believe that the infrastructure could be improved by providing better computer labs for students, better wifi-enabled campus, providing general store within the campus, getting a proper gym trainer, etc. These are only a few suggestions. There is scope for much more. It cannot be blamed completely on the college for not being able to provide better industry exposure, since the college is located in such a place that it is not easy to call many good lecturers, etc. However, it has accomplished this by being able to call a few commendable academicians, like Professor Jane. K. Winn (University of Washington), Mr. Kabir Duggal (Columbia Law School), etc among the others. The college life is very happening because of the various events and programs that keep on happening and make the campus look more lively like the cultural week, sports week, sports fest - YUVARDHA, cultural fest - NH65, Zumba classes, etc. Various top law firms in the country and abroad have been hiring the students of our college. Some of the few names from the bunch are, Allen and Ovary, Herbert Smith, Anand and Anand, Khaitan, Amarchand Mangaldas, Trilegal, Luthra and Luthra, AZB, etc The college hostels are the USP, I suppose. Most other law schools of the country do not offer single occupancy rooms. However, in NLUJ we get our very own private spaces. The freedom as well the responsibilities that come with staying independently can be felt here. It makes us more prepared to face the greater hardships of having an independent life after law school. The college has some of the finest professors in the country. The faculties for Jurisprudence, Constitutional law, Property law, Family Law, IPR, etc are among the top professors of the nation. However, there are a few faculty members who, though are knowledgeable but are not able to transfer that knowledge properly to the students. The student crowd is amazing. You experience diversity in its truest, unadulterated form. Students from all across the country inhabit the campus and there is an exchange of ideas, culture, ethnicity, etc taking place all the time. Respecting all the religions and States of the country, various functions such as Saraswati Pooja, Diwali, Holi, Makar Sankranti, Pongal, etc are celebrated with full enthusiasm. The college is affordable in the sense that since jodhpur is not a very developed city, there are not many distractions. Therefore the student does not end up spending too much. The college canteen serves decent food and as claimed by the students of other universities, visiting our campus, our canteen food is the best college food that they have tasted.

It's one of the topmost NLUs of India. It has a beautiful infrastructure, good faculty, awesome environment, supporting seniors and all that you need in your dream college. There is three mess and we have the option to eat according to our choice. The teachers are helpful. There are many committees for different work and they provide a different outlook to the functioning of the college. The campus is wide and beautiful. It's designed in a very convenient manner with the library in the middle of campus. The library is big and is s rich source of information. There is also a different journal room, moot court room and computer lab in the library. It's a dream college.

I believe that in NLUJ you can have the best of both worlds. Both nerdy type as well as the fun type, get plenty of opportunities to be the kind of person they want to be, no pressure. In that sense, I do think that NLUJ is the best thing that can happen to you to build on your potential. We've got great sports facilities, round-the-clock Internet access with subscriptions to numerous academic websites, some of the best mooters and quiz-masters you've ever come across, great hostel ambience. Apparently, there is no downside, apart from some questionable teaching quality (which I am told exists in all law schools) and being stuck in Jodhpur (which, come on, considering the one night proximity to Delhi, and great college connectivity to the city- just 12 km away, is not so bad).
