College Infrastructure
Best infrastructure with modern equipments. I would request aspirants not to go according to old article and make a prejudice against NLU Assam. They are all 2014 articles amd post. From 2014 to 2020 NLUA has risen and now standing among top law institutions.
Academics
Students of our university are excelling everywhere. NIRF ranked us among top law institutions. The CLAT ranking is according to establishment dates don't go according to that they are all misleading.
Placements
Placements are coming and students are scoring high ranks in CLAT PG exams. Students are winning international and national moot courts competition and are getting PPOs. NLU Assam provides for peaceful environment for students.
Value-for-money
Feasible and less than others and it offers better services that others.
Campus Life
From cultural celebration to DJ night and from Sports competition or different conferences. Campus is the best.
Anything Else
Just dont create prejudice according to the older pictures and articles available. They are of 2014. NLU Assam right is standing shoulder to shoulder with other law institutions.

College Infrastructure
One of the best campuses in India. NLU Assam has two big buildings and a separate building for library. Classes are air conditioned, spacious with a podium and all digital equipments fixed like smart boards . There is a sports complex under construction as of now. WiFi in the campus and hostels. Very well maintained. Living spaces are clean, however the quality of hostel food is low. Nonetheless, food is edible and there are shops nearby.
Academics
BA LLB, five year integrated course and LLM for a year. There is also a judicial academy for judges. Curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field. Yes, it makes us job-ready.
Placements
Poor placement cell. Students get PPO. The placement cell is developing every year. However, the college is supportive. Nonetheless, a few companies come at the end of each year to provide placements.
Value-for-money
It's 2 lacs per year. Including hostel fees and mess. Worth the money.
Campus Life
Inter College competitions take place almost every week. There is a capacity building moot for freshers. Students engage in Moots, Research Paper Presentations, Debates and other activities. Students and teachers are supportive. The campus is situated on the outskirts of Guwahati.

When I joined the University, there was a trend of introduction where we had to wish our seniors and introduce ourselves(can call ragging), the faculties are not that good, sometimes we struggle understanding what we do not get their point. If you can manage to get into other university that would be better. Although the infrastructure would get better after moving to the permanent campus, but will take couple of years for things to go smooth.

Unwarranted Statutory Warning: This review will be an enigmatic journey but on the wrong side of the river. Before moving to an in-depth analysis of the institute's viability to survive on the national scene, let me be straightforwardly clear about one thing, NLUA is everything apart from an institute. To be here or not to be here, that is the question!!, Well, this is what plagues the mind of every CLAT Taker year by year who finds himself stuck in the quagmire existing in this law school. The thing that makes this inquisitiveness justified is the institute's so-called state of the art building which on the first sight looks like a government hospital. Moreover, the persistent problems revolving around in-house sports and gym facilities, as well as the absence of an Auditorium, makes this institute an unsafe bet in light of minimal opportunities available due to the shabby infrastructure. In respect to the Internships and Work Experience, the students are stuck in a limbo due to the meagre number of corporate firms and established lawyers in and around Guwahati which inadvertently force them to seek holiday internships. Even though this a locational disadvantage, the institute could have taken measures such as the introduction of summer Courses, corporate Tie-Ups and weekly lectures/seminars which could have opened new gateways for the future but they failed to do so. Furthermore, the situation has become bad to worse because of the lack of commitment from the student community to explore newer paradigms and this fear is the prime reason that makes the life monotonous in this institute. In regard to this argument, there is a pressing need to strengthen the student community by providing them leverage to think out of the box so as to help them realize that law school is more than moots, seminars, and research papers. Being a fairly new kid on the block, NLUA has its demerits as discussed above but it would be wrong to single-handedly blame the institution for the pathetic condition of institutional placements and the reason is quite clear; The competition in the field of law is off the charts at present and only the fittest would survive. By this statement, the author doesn't want to demean the students who have immense talent and potential by their side but would like them to take this as a gentle reminder of the upcoming challenge. Additionally, one thing must be taken into account is that only one batch has graduated from this university and it would be too early to take a call on the future placements. An interesting fact about this institute is the presence of three different hostels at three different places outside the premises of the institute. This hostel triplet is marred by pest infestation, lack of sanity, filthy toilets, and noise pollution in excess to the excruciating stretch with the sole administrative building housed in the institute premises. It is a known fact among the intelligentsia that kosher guidance can do wonder by making possible the impossible. NLUA in this respect has adopted a whole together different trajectory by appointing such dominies who love to take pleasure out of pain experienced by students. During recent times, NLUA has gone through instability and unrest because of the frustration and helplessness exerted out by the student community in form of strikes which already has made the institute an unpopular destination. To make the matter worse the faculty instead of voicing legitimate student demands embarked on a spree to divide the whole student community so as to curb the rising demands for reformation. Barring few quality driven individuals, most of these faculties lacks teaching experience, credentials, unique thought process and top of that concern for students. As most of you were already warned that this journey would be a bumpy ride and in most probability, NLUA has lived up to its billing. But wait on!! The best is yet to come. Affordability. This institute is the third costliest National Law School in the country having yearly academic fees in excess of 2 lakh rupees. On this note, it also becomes quite apprehensible that this is the only list where NLUA has a podium finish. Finally, before going in a slumber this ill-fated NLUAite would like to take a jibe and state that Think and Think Twice!!, If you will, NLUA will never be your fate.

Being a first-year student, I came here with a lot of expectations. Primarily, the faculty system though good , somewhere I am getting stuck and the book recommendations as per the different subject teachers, is not given properly. Library is pretty small and the amount of the same number of books which are in high demand, is low.Hostel is good, food is pretty eatable as of now,. Management is slow. Temporary set up campus, permanent coming within March next year as per sources.First batch passed out, not at all huge placement record, past year surely may improve.

The permanent campus is coming up, we are promised to be shifted by 2017. The campus is very small to accommodate sports and recreational facilities, fests. Although, we are funded to organize freshers, farewell, celebrate certain festivals, etc. But, we do not have our fests or sports week or any extra facility to channelize the energy and talent. We do have student journal and law review, but no moot court or MUNs or Parliamentary debates. The fees charged is too high in comparison to the facilities provided. But since the temporary campus is in the city, so we do have access to the stadium and good food joints. We do have a decent library, nice hostel but only for girls. The condition of boys hostel is very disappointing. The placement scenario is very unpleasant, though just one batch has gone through that phase. The situation demands a stable VC, more exposure, and a good infrastructure.

My college is a good option to opt for .The infrastructure is pretty well because of the fact that we are in our temporary campus. Once we shift to Amin Gao all the desired will be fulfilled. The faculties are very good and really helpful. The students live here as NLU-A family without any differences. The hostel is clean and good.recently we had Aarambh 2016,freshers party where we all enjoyed to our fullest.

NLU Assam has one of the highest number of permanent faculty members among all NLU's. It has a good student crowd and culture. Though it lacks when it comes about the infrastructure because the quality of hostels is not good and the whole college is running in one building, but the university will soon be shifting in its permanent campus within 6 months. A crowd of the college is very positive. Even after the average management and administration system, the student of NLUA are trying hard to make the University among the top Universities of India. students on their own trying to develop the University in every area. Drama society, the musical club are making college life happening. NLUA has just completed its 5 years. comparing to the top NLU'S of India like NLIU and NLSIU established 25 years ago. admitting the fact that things are still not good in NLUA but by the time it is getting better, and hope that we can see this University as the best University of law in India.

The college life is really good here, especially it being in the main market place. The college is currently running at a temporary campus but soon, a 150 acre campus is making its way and soon, we would get shifted to a huge campus with a lot of facilities and also be able to enjoy the privileges to hold competitions on the college level, like Debating, Parliamentary Debate Competition, Moot, sports etc. Due to a temporary campus, a bit of problems are there, like not a proper hostel, lack of sports facilities are two major ones. The faculty is amazing, well qualified and their teaching mythologies is great too. The staff is cooperative. The student's crowd is great and happening. They really give you a NLU feel. Being highly intellectual to super fun & party loving students from all over India, we all live like a family here. Also, Guwahati is an amazing city and you get an access to all the North East states which are so beautiful that you shouldn't miss an opportunity to pay a visit to them. All in all its a developing college which will become a big shot quite soon. If you get it, don't miss it.

Since the inception, National Law University Assam is trying very hard to level up with various other National Law Universities. The biggest problem which this Institution faces is the lack of infrastructure and inadequate teaching staff. After five years University still functions at government building which is not sufficient to accommodate 300 students excluding staff (teaching and non-teaching). As far as the library is concerned, it's getting better. Now there is a good collection of books in the library. Coming to teaching, some of the teachers really are not able to teach properly because of lack of experience. And this is one of the major drawbacks of the university.

National Law University Assam, is in its nascent stage with its first batch pass out this year. The University has a long way to go and we believe it will be among the best law schools in India soon. The university is our first step towards a career as lawmen. A person is known by the company he keeps, National Law University is known by its students. Lack of proper infrastructural facilities and effective administration doesn’t hold back the students from achieving their goals. Students have performed and won competitions at national level. The faculty member always motivates the students and assists them whenever needed. With the upcoming permanent campus, we hope that the hostel facilities, as well as mess food, will improve.

This is a new college with the first batch passing this year and that is why its placement facility is still not up to the mark but when it comes to research and academics, it can compete well with the top level NLUs. In various competitions like mooting, debating, MUNs, the college has performed well and managed to bag various trophies. The faculty is from all over India and they are expert in their respective subjects. The library is also well equipped with all varieties of books covering various subjects and the online databases have made life easy in NLUJA for the researcher to do research. We have various research cells which carry out extensive research on respective subject topics. The University is now operating on its temporary campus and that is its major drawback. Junior hostels are bit far from the campus making it very difficult for them to access the facility. Not having the permanent campus is also a reason for not having proper industry exposure. Hope this problem will soon going to be resolved as our Chancellor (Chief Justice of Guwahati High Court) has promised that by the end of this month we will going to shift to our permanent campus that is there at Amingoan just beside the IIT Guwahati Campus.
