NLU Kochi Placements

As per the NIRF 2022 report, around 43 students got placed with a median salary of Rs 10 lakhs while 8 students from the postgraduate course have been placed. NUALS Kochi has a placement cell that helps in the placement of final-year candidates. The National University of Advanced Legal Studies placement cell comprises faculty members and student representatives. The cell conducts various pre-placement training like workshops, seminars, guest lectures, industrial visits, group discussions, mock interviews, soft-skills training, etc to make the students’ placement ready.

For NUALS Kochi placement, the cell invites companies to its campus for recruitment of the candidates. The institute follows a placement process for smooth conduction of the placement. The institute also provides a separate placement infrastructure to assist in the final interview process. NUALS Kochi Placement Cell also provides internship assistance to the candidates. Students have internships in various law firms and corporate institutions like ADN Associates, Bhagat Law Chambers, Fox Mandal Associates, ICICI Bank, etc in the year 2021. Students have also got an internship for the role of judges and advocates.

NUALS Kochi is a National Law University that participates in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2024). The NUALS placement process is organised in a way that the university has a dedicated cell for handling the recruitment process. The NUALS placement is not as good as any other top NLU, however, it does conduct the placement drive regularly and many legal firms, organisations and civil society organisations participate in the recruitment process. NUALS Kochi placement cell sends invitations to the companies.
Interested recruiters contact the placement cell with requisite company details, job profiles, compensation, etc.
The details are communicated to the students.
Interested students register with the placement cell.
With mutual consent, dates for pre-placement talk and final placement are decided.
On the final placement day, the companies screen the candidates based on written tests group discussions and /or personal interviews.
Selected candidates are informed about their selection through the placement cell.
