College Infrastructure
College infrastructure is good. We have the necessary facilities and equipment. Being a law school, there are 7 moot Court halls. The living spaces are clean, well maintained cafeteria, ATM facility in campus.
Academics
I am undergoing graduation in BBALLB(HONS.). I am in 3rd year of my law school. The quality of teaching is at par in reference to other esteemed law universities. Curriculum is judiciary based. So if cracking judiciary is your goal, you are at the right place.
Placements
1-2 placements. Blunt honest review. Period. Only one placement previous year by ICICI bank. The highest salary offered was 14 lacs p.a. Now after much pressure from students , faculties are working extremely hard on improving the placement cell as well.
Value-for-money
Sure. It's worth it depending on your future goals.
Campus Life
There is no campus life without friends. There is no campus that you can enjoy without some amazing & crazy people. If there is an ongoing event in our campus...be it faculties, students or office staff...they come and enjoy it. All these events are organized by student bodies.

College Infrastructure
Starting with hostel rooms- every room(double or single) has a balcony which provides you with one of the finest views. Volleyball court, Basketball court and Football ground adds a point to the infrastructure. Personally my favourite was RUINS(COLLEGE'S MOHENJODARO).It has a cafeteria and a well established Atrium(sort of restaurant) which provides you with the best selfie spots and few indoor games. Library is well equipped with books of different sections and genres.
Academics
I'm studying B.B.A LL.B. (Hons.). Though the subject is very vast in itself I find it interesting. Faculties are good and are highly qualified (except for a few). Personal guidance from seniors can do a lot of help. Mooting and debating societies adds on to the academics. Examination is conducted in a well precised manner.
Placements
CNLU has a record of top results in judiciary examinations. It is the an undisputable, unmatchable institution to provide rank holders in judicial services every year. Though the placement committee is formed, but provides a nominal placement in corporate sector. There are many cnluites who has been placed with an extraordinary packages.
Value-for-money
It costs around 2 lakhs p.a. including mess and hostel fee. Many people are scared of living in a hostel just because of quality of food. CNLU has an amazing mess with a variety of food items that too better than one's home. 24*7 wifi is a bang-on for any student.
Campus Life
College is in the main education hub of the city. College is in a walking distance from bus-stand and railway station. Apparently, the college is often known for this transportation ease. Airport is also not that far from college. Various committees and societies are there in the college. Child Rights Centre is the key catch of the institution. Once entering the college , one will never feel the stereotypes or premeditated notions of Bihar.
Anything Else
One will never regret getting enrolled in CNLU. Being in the proper city ,one can go for shopping and movies anytime. Campus Life is amazingly mesmerizing. The night walks in the campus is my favourite. Apart from project, presentations and academics one can go to gym, tv room or any of the sports ground for pleasure. Appreciations and talent goes hand in hand. Competitions and fests are held at regular intervals.2 months Internship holidays are given per semester.

1- The journals of various scholars of their field in the library. 2- The administration must jump in the initiatives of students to constitute a Recruitment Cell. 3- Of course food is the basic hue and cry of a hostel resident, it must be enchanced. 4- The university is definately affordable for an aspirant who can keep his pocket and his dreams on an equal footing. 5- The professors of this university are very hardworking and justify the reason to be one, but a good scholar need not be necessarily a good teacher, so a scope of improvement always remains when it comes to conducting a class.

Chanakya national law university , the 10th NLU among the 17 NLUs in India is a mixture of everything that a person hopes to find in his college, from academics to sports and from debating (which is a religion here at CNLU) to cultural activities , every field gets its share of attention. The infrastructure of the college is really nice with air conditioning in all the classrooms and moot courts, and Nishant Nilayam (CNLU Library) is well equipped with almost everything that you might need for your academics. The boys and girls hostel which are about 100 yards away from each other (winks) have a well-equipped gymnasium so as to keep the fitness freak within you alive. The mess provides 3 meals a day and the quality of food served is fairly decent but be warned and do not be expecting the 5-star arrangement. Not to miss the lawyer's cafe (our canteen) provides some lip smacking snacks which are really affordable. The market being just at a 2-3 minute distance keeps you connected to the city of Patna overall CNLU won't be of disappointment to you .

Patna, this one word is enough to deter most people even if they have never been to Patna because of the preconceived notions of the place being backward, orthodox and every other negative adjective that you can find in the dictionary to describe a place. A normal person is skeptical so, you can think of how a student would perceive Patna when it comes to his/her graduation studies. I come from the same lot of people who had some preconceived notions and had the shock of my life when a seat in CNLU Patna was allotted to me when I wrote CLAT in 2013. It has been three years since then and I feel , now, I can give a fair analysis on how CNLU Patna is as a college. INFRASTRUCTURE: The college in general has good infrastructure, has ample open space, decent hostels and is spread over 18 acres ( enough for a law school, I feel). The basic amenities are fulfilled properly but we desperately need the half constructed auditorium( which now looks more in ruins) to be completed. The classrooms and the hostels are well kept and cleanliness is a big high point this place. We can have more sports facilities as all our sporting endeavors from kabaddi to football have to play on the same field. LIBRARY: The library is housed in a separate building with good books and volumes but there is scope for more additions. At times there is only a single copy of a book and it becomes maddening when a lot of people need the same book and at the same time. FACULTY: Umm, the average should suffice for the same. You have a varied lot in terms of faculty members like some who kind of give in all of their heart and soul, some who just fulfill it for the sake of it. One big problem is that quite a handful of teachers have knowledge but they can't deliver in front of a class. (That's weird but it happens quite a number of times) CROWD: Here we suffer from a lot of locational disadvantage as a lot of people wouldn't like to prefer studying here. Apart from that, at present you have a decent crowd with a great variety, though, the reservation policies ensure a sizeable population from Bihar. ( and before you get judgmental,no, they are not all that bad, some of them are true gems.) Here, you can find the geek who wouldn't budge his nose out of books for anything in the work, the one who cares just for marks, the one who tries his hand at everything and one who just doesn't care. So, in one way, anybody can find their type of people here. PLACEMENTS: One major place where locational disadvantage hurts us real bad. People are skeptical about coming to this place so the placement scene is quite dismal. However, there is another factor that needs to be seen when you see our placement stats, as a sizeable chunk here,( in certain batches more than half of the batch) has an inclination towards the bar, the bench and administrative services so the population looking for jobs reduces greatly. INDUSTRY EXPOSURE: With the High Court in vicinity, the ones looking for a career in the Bar have good exposure with running internships available but the not the same can be said about the law firms and corporate scenario, as the students have to wait for their internship breaks for the same. CAMPUS LIFE: You have debates and sporting activities going on at times. The campus life thing depends on the person as you get a lot of time and you are free to utilize it as you want. You can debate, try your hand at nukkad, play but there is no such push of sorts. If you want to do it , do it and add on to the campus life. Most of the campus life here depends on student initiatives like nukkad, inter batch sporting leagues, etc. The campus can be very dull if you decide to sit in a corner and wait for things to happen. Take an active part and get things to happen. So, for anybody who wants to join CNLU, for sure we can't lure you with the benefits of a metropolitan city but you have a great chance at excelling if you have that drive in you. The law school ensures you have a time at your disposal , so you can use it as you want. Drawbacks are always there but the law school is worth giving a chance if you don't really have something extraordinarily better than this.

To begin, the campus is eco-friendly..truly refreshing and clean, probably the best in the state. The faculty is intellectual, you just need to grab as much as you can. What lacks here is industry exposure and placements prospects are meager. However, placements have improved in past years. College life is cool. No place is perfect, you need to make it a better place. The hostels are quite average. The biggest problem is of common washrooms. The faculty provides unlimited help and guidance but, you need to hunt your own capabilities. Overall, the college is good and I would recommend it to others as well.

College is not so good infrastructure is good. the college place is not so good located it should have been to some other place to attract more industry exposure. with more cultural and educational fests the college life should have been more happening. the college doesn't take an active participation in the placement. the hostels are very good. professors should have been better. due to the student diversity the college is flourishing. the student crowd is excellent in our college. the college is affordable in terms of price.

The University is growing, but very slowly. Placements need some major improvement. The faculty is average: we have some good teachers and some not so good teachers. The infrastructure is good, but we still do not have an auditorium. The college should arrange for more visits by industry members to increase the exposure of the students. The hostel is good. The college was affordable when I joined, but fees have increased every year. The student crowd is not bad.

the college has a nice infrastructure with a library and fully ac classrooms. the campus is very well planned but it could have been placed at a different place so as to attract a nice industry exposure. the college should involve much into cultural events in order to make the life lively. placement is poor in the college and college administration is required to play more actively in it.the faculty is good but it could have been better. the hostels are well maintained. the student crowd is very good. the college is affordable in terms of money as it is very reasonable as compared to other NLUS.

College is good, worth the fees it charges. Better management is needed. Only mediocre firms come for placement. Some legal processing outsourcing companies also come to college. Most of the students prefer for judicial service. The hostel facilities are good. There is a gym, good room, big mess canteen.Food is not bad. The campus life on and off is quite relaxed. Initially many events were held but it completely depends on student participation. The gender ratio is equal. Politics always played spoiler every time. Now, this situation has improved.

The college has a very good library with a unique collection of books which are enriching it. The competitive environment along with ample of time to study gives an edge over other colleges. The wifi over here is really good. The only shortcoming is some faculty problem.

This college is unique in many ways. It's the best Institution in Bihar. As the National law school, it has an incredibly strong alumnus base over all walks of life, many of whom take an active interest in helping out present students. The amount that can be gained from day to day interactions with lawyers, supreme court justices, international legal stalwarts is amazing. But then again none of this happens without a keen interest and initiative taken by the student. Law school allows you an immense amount of freedom, leaving your actual experience to be exactly what you make it.

In the State of Bihar, where the seeds of the earliest republic were sown and the crop of democracy cultivated, a need was felt by the government for a university which would provide quality legal education and strive to raise national legal standards to competitive international level and promote legal awareness in the community, which will lead to the realization of goals embodied in the Constitution of India. No Educational Institution is complete without adequate facilities to its Students, Faculties & Employees. CNLU provides a wide range of facilities on its campus. A well managed residential accommodation with modern facility provided to students. Mess & Canteen facilities on campus provide everything from a simple coffee and sandwich to a full meal. University provides a full range of medical services for students & for employees who register as patients. In addition to general practice services, CNLU provides a range of specialist clinics and visiting practitioners. University organised regular careers fairs, training workshops, and one-to-one guidance for students. Counseling Service aims to enable students to achieve their academic and personal goals by providing confidential counseling and support for any difficulties encountered while at CNLU. University provides a wide range of IT services including campus internet access via a wireless network and in student residences. A number of retired Judges of the Supreme Court,High Courts, and lower Judiciary, as well as Senior Advocates & Educationalist, have offered to assist the CNLU in its teaching and research programmes making education at CNLU a rare and exciting experience to the student body. CNLU admired the example of maintaining financial autonomy along with greater accountability. It is equipped with the state-of-art infrastructure for successful imparting of legal education of the highest standards. The faculty at CNLU comprises highly acclaimed and experienced academicians who are proactively involved in grooming the younger generation to take CNLU to greater heights. The construction work of the university spread on 18 acres of land at Nyaya Nagar, Mithapur near Mithapur Bus stand, Jakkanpur Police Station, Patna. A sprawling lawn with various types of palm trees has added beauty to the landscape

I m recently now in 4th-year student and till now the college has not disappointed me. Vice Chancellor, a reputed person himself has been the pillar of the university. College infrastructure is very nice and overall the faculty is nice. There are students from all over India. Till now the highest placement received was 1.20k.

Infrastructure is kind of good. We have nice library and A/C classrooms. Although the hostel lack A/C and we also don't have an auditorium, the construction of which is pending for years. Looking at the number of students (approx 600) , we have decent infrastructure. About corporate exposure it is non-existent. College life is enjoyable due to the friends which I made here. All days here are like holidays when you have fun throughout the day :) . Placement is the biggest problem because I have seen seniors worrying about their career as many companies don't come here. Although the trend is changing every year and the number of companies coming to our college is increasing every year :). Facilities in the hostel are very basic for the existence of human being. The only facility which I can think of is Cold Water :o. One thing in which I can say that CNLU can match any other NLU is the students here. Students are really good. Amazing debaters, Speakers and Mooters as well as hard workers. The diversity of students is also something which can be appreciated. Affordability depends on . and in my case, college is not so much affordable for me. Somehow managing ;) .

A good enough National Law University, only if not seen through stereotypical eyes because of its location. The faculty is good, the campus is good enough, hostel facilities are average. Patna, as seen and thought of, is not that bad, I myself am an outsider. And, after being a dry state it has improved and seems to have a lesser crime rate. The city is good, after all, a state capital. CNLU has no auditorium yet (It is under construction though) and we have a moot court hall but not that good and, we so do need good ones. Administration and management process needs to be improvised. Seniors are helpful and we've had numerous selections in judicial services from this university, actually better than most law schools. Industry exposure is less because if its location, but we still bagged good placements (highest was around 16L PA in 2016 batch), and there were decent numbers of people to get recruited out of all who have sat for placements. There are plenty of opportunities to pursue what a person wants to be it, debating, mooting, sport or whatever for that matter. Overall, a good enough National Law University after top 7 National Law Universities, which you can seek for, and any day better than some privates in many aspects.

CNLU campus is well built and the lush and green plantation makes it worth living. Library needs to be well stocked. Internship period should be extended and should be adjusted as per court vacations. College administration should take more efforts to call companies for placements. Hostels are provided with wifi facility, geysers , bio metric attendance system, single room as well as double rooms, water cooler etc. College is affordable as everything is charged at nominal rates. Room rent is minimal.

Chanakya National Law University, Patna has one of the most spacious, finest, and green campuses in India. The air-conditioned classrooms are spacious, well ventilated and equipped with good seating arrangement. There is separate hostel facility for all male and female students where hygiene and sanitation is properly maintained. Each hostel room has a balcony and is well ventilated. Each hostel also has a gymnasium. The University allows students to live off campus as day scholars. We have Wi-Fi facility for devices on campus, strictly guarded by authorities. The university has two large well-maintained fields, a basketball court, and volleyball court. The university does not have its own auditorium which I wish we had, but nevertheless, most of the major events/functions take place in the moot court hall, the ground floor of the huge library building and the fields. I wish we had more infrastructures for sports as well. The university has one cafeteria for the students, visitors, and faculty, which is an open air café with some good food to offer. There is a canteen in the boys and girls hostel mess area. The mess food is clean and healthy with Non-Vegetarian food available three times a week. The university holds classes 6 days a week. Class timings are very convenient from 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. with a short 15-minute break in- between. There is also the facility for remedial/tutorial classes from 3 p.m. To 5 p.m. regarding attendance the university is very particular, so there are 5 marks for 95% attendance and each student has to maintain a minimum of 75% attendance to be eligible for exams. The university allows maximum 8 days leave for participation per semester which is sometimes insufficient. Despite all of this, there are many numbers of holidays per semester, so college routine doesn’t seem very hectic. To encourage students for participation the university also reimburses the necessary cost incurred by the students in participation depending upon their performances. Although there is a lack of inter-college exposure to students because of its location in Bihar, yet the university offers a perfectly conducive environment for academics. We have a big and spacious air conditioned library with has around 14,000 books about 23 Indian and Foreign Journals and also a separate reference and periodical section. It is accessible for a good 12 hours on weekdays from 9 am to 9 pm and till 4 p.m. on Sundays. The students on campus have access to the major online law reference websites both Indian and Foreign like Manupatra, SCC Online, Hein Online ,Lexis-Nexis,Jstor etc that help a lot in research and academics, but this sometimes causes inconvenience to students who wish to do research in vacations. We have three set of exams per semester. The decoding mechanism in the correction of papers in each exam ensures transparency which eliminates the problem of bias. Other than 5 projects per subject in each semester and the exams there isn’t any additional burden on students from the college otherwise. For co-curricular activities, the university has an active moot court society that organizes general and special (International Law) intra-college Moot Court Competitions each semester on the basis of which students are selected to represent the university at National and International level competitions. The university also organizes National and International moot court competitions every year. But despite this, we do not have a moot court coach or a proper research team. Our Debating society is very active and enthusiastic and holds sessions at least four days a week. It organizes one of the finest national parliamentary debates every year with very popular and fine set of core adjudicators every year. The MUN committee is not very active and is yet to become more productive. Seminars and training camps are also organized by the University on different courses but there are only few guest lecturers that take place because there is a dearth of legal luminaries visiting Bihar often. For extra-curricular activities, we have a cultural committee but we need a permanent separate and active theater and dance club. Though we have an infrastructure for sports we do not have appointed coaches for training students. We have recently started with an Internship Coordination Committee which is a student representative body to facilitate the students get better internship opportunities based on their merit. Our placement cell comprises the fifth year students who guide the students to reach out to better prospective employers, but the top legal firms do not come to our college which is a major concern. As of now we do not have a students’ Union. College fest is not frequent which is unfortunate and is also one of the major reasons why we lack much of the inter-college exposure. However, the students frequently organize Intra-university sport events and other fun interactive events every semester. Social nights are organized before festivals and on other occasions for the entire student body. The student crowd is mixed. Due to the State reservation Quota we have more students from Bihar but there is representation from other states of India with most representation from the north and west. I believe that the reservation percentage sometimes causes a disadvantage in creating the diversity one finds in other universities which may be providing even lesser facilities as compared to CNLU. Nevertheless we have a competitive environment and students are already making a mark in National Moot Court Competitions,MUNs,National Parliamentary Debates and paper publications. The faculty is dedicated to enriching the students academically. Some even use innovative techniques to teach students they are approachable for doubt clarification and also guide the students in co-curricular activities. Despite all of this we do not have many professors and also less number of permanent faculty members. In terms of affordability, the college fees as compared to other NLU’s and private Universities is less and also the cost of travel and food in Patna is not very high and fairly affordable for comfortable five years in the University.

Overall my college is very good and it fulfills me all requirements. Teachers here are very supportive and always available for help. Its examination pattern is very different which includes surprise test and prepare us to face and perform in any situation. At last, I would say I love being here.

My college has very good infrastructure, from the classroom, a library hostel for boys and girls respectively to a good gym.An auditorium would make it a complete campus. The auditorium will soon become part of University.Inviting dignitaries from across the country & proper awareness among students will give better industry exposure. My College is totally autocratic in nature. here, students are treated as school children and not given proper space to grow to its potential. If my college promotes and accommodates democratic ethos then it would be more happening. There is a very little Cultural atmosphere. But, in recent years after a long struggle, the cultural atmosphere has started to build up. There is placement committee to address placements issue, but it can't be said to be fully functional. But, in last few years, it has improved itself and helped in getting handsome placements. Fooding , lodging , cleaning & laundry. Here, like every college, there is a bunch of good, average and ok faculty. I would like that teacher-students ratio should increase and learned alumni should be preferred as faculty. So that there will be a good bond between students and faculty.Student crowd is very good . there is chunk which comes from other parts of the country, but still, there is a sense of belongingness and attachment for each other. the crowd is not too professional in its behaviour inside the campus, so it gives a home touch. As my college is national law university, so in that group it is not very expensive. but, when NLUs will be placed with other colleges it is very expensive. As the same quality of education, one can get in Central Universities and other Law Universities having 5 years programme.

It has all the infrastructure that an ideal university should have in today's time. University only needs an auditorium. The state of Bihar is still lacking in Industrial sector.so, it is not possible to increase the industrial exposure at once but yes, slowly things are changing. the inter-college interaction among the colleges of Patna should increase and there should be musical shows on the monthly basis to lighten the heavy minds. the laws are quite heavy! we are satisfied with the facilities in our hostel but there should be a better wifi facility but this is a bit difficult due to the internet provider(BSNL). professors should be more advanced in computer skill. there are various facets of the student diversity. but still, it rarely has any impact on college life. in fact, it becomes very enjoyable after vacations when people bring different dishes from there places. it can be affordable for an average middle-class family. I am also from an average middle-class family.

A good college for law aspirants. It has a standard library for studies. It provides two 5 years courses, B.A.LL.B. (Hons) and B.BA.LL.B (Hons). It has a decent set of faculty. The infrastructure is not up to the mark as it lacks an auditorium and courts for various sports. Hostel facility is also available to the students. A sprawling lawn with various types of palm trees has added beauty to the landscape.

A decent Infrastructure, a good place to learn with a very good environment around. Student crowd is pretty decent and a place where you will get some friends for a lifetime. Learning law is fun here, this college will inject law in your life with such an intensity that you can't be free from it anytime in your thinking. Average faculties , good exposure to the practical world.

Our college does not have an auditorium so all the events have to take place at any outside venue. Placements are just for name sake. The same companies come every year which offer 3 lacs per annum. Security is quite poor. Some teachers are good ones. Rest are not. The worst thing is the crowd. These typical Biharis constitute 50% of the strength of our college and thus the environment is not conducive for proper intellectual growth.

I got into this college with a dream to make my career successful particularly in true sense to make my self-able to walk out to the people who are in need of help and to provide them the requisite help. This was my sole motto apart from becoming a successful lawyer which would further support my willingness to help the needy and after getting into a national law university I recognized that there would no better place than this university to make my dream come true. This is the place where a person can learn the most important aspect of one's life and the society i.e. LAW. Here you will find a lot of opportunities to prove yourself, for example here we have regular moot court competition, debates, essay writing and much more. It brings out the best in you. Here the infrastructure of the academic block and the hostels are just fantastic one. There is a spacious library which consists of the exhaustive collection of books, magazines and what not. The academic block and the library are centrally air conditioned which gives the most comfortable conditions for studying. The hostels are also in very good condition and the food is also good apart from the dinner which is a bit boring. We keep on organizing sports meet which continuously makes us enjoy the college life to the full. The faculties here are the best one apart from few but one can always manage to get out the best from the faculty by self-studying and asking the questions in the class. The most terrible thing is that here one has to attend the lectures regularly. A minimum of 75% attendance is the must for being eligible to appear in the exams and the university is very strict about it. But at the end, I realize that such strict adherence to the attendance is ultimately beneficial to me as I have learnt a lot by attending the classes regularly. There are regular tests which we hate the most but ultimately it makes us study which is finally beneficial to us only. so here I can conclude that this is the best place for bringing out the best in me and it has been a great experience here.

CNLU or NLU Patna is one of the top ten NLUs in India. With a compact infrastructure, the main attraction towards the college is posed by the greenery inside the college. Also, being situated the midst of the town, CNLU may be called as heart of Patna and because of this reason, the transport facilities, as well as shopping and chilling out places, are easily accessible from the college. CNLU is more of a student oriented organization with a strong senior junior bonding. The students from a lot many parts of India come here and the seniors are very cooperative and help you out in all the spheres of your life may it be personal or professional. The academic calendar of CNLU is a bit tough and keeps you busy throughout the year. The best example is surprising test system in CNLU where dates shall be given but subjects shall be surprised for the student and they have to prepare all of the subjects on the very first day. It develops confidence and makes a student sincere towards their studies. The subjects are properly spread in ten semesters and the faculties are cooperative in nature. The marking scheme being a bit strict makes the student a hard and smart worker. Plethora of mooting and debating achievements clearly displays the quality of student. The atmosphere in competitive and you need to take out the best of you to achieve something in CNLU. For the placements, students need to strive hard. Either they get the best or none, all depending on their sincerity towards themselves in last five years. Hostels are the best part of CNLU with a beautiful infrastructure. facilities like a good mess food, canteen, Gym, TV room etc has been provided in the hostel which gives a decent lifestyle to students. CNLU is quite affordable as it has a confined fee structure which is less than many other NLUs. So being a part of CNLU will definitely make you proud once you come here because you will definitely feel a holistic development in you before leaving this college after five years.

Its an honour for me that one of the NLU is also situated in Bihar. ie..in Patna I like everything of my college except that my College administration spends a huge amount of money for unnecessary things but to call good faculty it has no money... In short and simple words it is necessary to replace some of the faculties in CNLU.

The infrastructure of our college is very beautiful. The most important part of our college beauty is the greenery. guess lectures, moots, debates are always conducted regularly, the college need to work on internship side, education trip like college should take the students to high courts or others court to show the proceedings and all. along with education part college should time to time organise events like fests etc.. Other than this everything is good. One can take admission in this college.
