I did my llm from this University Himachal Pradesh National law University shimla it's bulidings are better than my previous college - Jammu University . But there are also.many problems in the hpnlu like lack of playgrounds. I used to play a football but during my llm i couldn't not because of lack of playgrounds.
Teachers are Great here they coordinate alot they helps alot the way they teaches I like the most they are very supportive for their students and I didn't anywhere this type of support which I got from hpnlu
Better than my previous college - colleges invites firms or companies for placement as well as for internship i did my internship at one of the best firms or the india because of Himachal Pradesh National law University shimla
The infrastructure is not nice here bulidings are too small ,it's India's top University - national law University so I didn't expect this type of infrastructure from this type of national Universities. Classrooms are to old fashioned and small lack of playgrounds and no big halls or auditorium.
I am in bba llb here teachers are very supportive and good. Specially my management teacher his name is praveen sir and he is one the greatest or best teacher of management according to me . Apart for this our English ma'am ruchi raj thakur she is also one of my favourite teacher.
The placement at himachal pradesh national law University -shimla in not that great the average package of Himachal Pradesh National law University 8-10 lakhs only . But college helps alot for placement and it's growing now.
The infrastructure of the college is not that good .some classrooms need proper maintenance and better cleanliness.the furniture is old and sometimes uncomfortable to sit on for long hours. And also lack of playground.
The academics of the college are good .the teachers are supportive and try their best to explain the concept clearly. Most of them are well qualified and helpful in solving doubts. The syllabus is completed on time .
It's tier 3 national law University so placement are not that good . But also not that bad . The average package is 10-12 lakhs and 10-12 lakhs is not that bad according to me. It is 10-12 lakhs average package for me.
It's a new university and is situated in the mountains, thus it lacks in campus infrastructure due to this. Still it has been trying and building a good infrastructure around the university and has been successful in that aspect.
The natural environment of the place promotes calmness and the university capitalises on that calm nature, as the teachers and professors are well equipped in their respective areas of study and also provide deeper philosophical insights on the topic.
Promising enough to call in a good names for placements and have recently started handing out internship opportunities from in campus placement cells. Still, as per their fees the placement as desired is lacking, but has potential to grow and create much better platform ahead in time.
The services provided can still be enhanced as the amount of fees they charge still feels a bit extra for present available opportunities and infrastructure.
Is good in this aspect as there is evidently no prominent ragging episodes, apart from minor discomforts between the students.
The university is fine, honestly with the view of the mountains and the solitude? It makes it more bearable. And one can focus more on their studies when in solitude. In my opinion, it's not just the place that makes us thrive, it's the people around us. And honestly the people on this campus, are weird. Kinda weird. The campus, the faculty, the books even, are really good but it's the people around that makes me question the choices of life (of choosing this university). But then yes, there are not only weird or maybe not likeable people on the campus, but there DO exist, some good ones as well. And I'm glad that I have those good ones around me. The infrastructure is still developing cuz this is one of the recently opened NLUs so it's still developing and at a good pace I guess. Classrooms are smart now. They've cameras, smart boards, and better markers to write on the whiteboards. The food on the campus is suspicious. Because you cannot understand whether the food is smelly or is it the mess area that is smelly. Hygiene needs to be upgraded and better food quality to be induced in the kitchen.
I'm studying BA LLB Hons, the BA part was good but the LLB part has just started and so far, it has been good as well. I love certain faculty members and their way of teaching while some may not. But yeah the faculty is good, over-all.
Placements are actually.....rare. But that doesn't mean people haven't had placements. Some did while some still thrive for it. I remember one of the alumni of our college is one of the highest ranking people in a reputed law firm.
Well the tuition per semester (we've got 10 semesters) costs me 1,10,250 ish but it can exceed or maybe even be less than that (only a few thousands). Mess fees doesn't exceed 22,000 at max. Mess Fee includes the hostel rent for the entire semester. So in all, in over the 5 years, approximately, 15 lakhs would be spent on my course.
Students can engage in fests in other colleges and are open to debates and discussions with professors. The students here voice their opinions and thoughts with such an intensity that can make the other person ponder upon it and actually have a healthy debate and discussion.
There are very few proper developed facilities provided by college , there is no auditorium, sports ground and the building is quite small doesn't even feel like we are in college pursuing professional degrees lack of proper hostels for boys .
The professors are mid at best , many of them have personality issues which is not very evident first but you gradually get the hang of it after months , and their teaching style is quite boring hardly do they make it seem intresting .
Only 6 placements last year that explains everything! There has not been a lot of time since the inauguration of our university hence this poor performance the students are capable to an extent but poor academics, and boring atmosphere really explains it all.
Here at Himachal Pradesh National law University shimla the the infrastructure is not that good. There are no playground and auditorium.which I don't like I am playing here more than 3 lakhs per annum.
I have ba llb honours in ba i have 6 subjects which is very great. English economics history politics science sociology psychology. And with honours that's very great. I will complete do degrees with in 5 years with honours.
Placement opportunity at Himachal Pradesh National University is not that bad like we get internship break of 2 month per semester..it's very unique thing which i love about my college. Placement are avg
I am from Himachal Pradesh National law University and here the infrastructure of HPNLU is not that nice.the buildings here are very small and congested. We don't have a auditorium or a playground which is very bad thing according to me like not having a single auditorium are playground in college or big university who are charging more than 3 lakhs per annum.
I have ba llb honours in ba i have subject political science history economics sociology psychology . As well as english literature. So it's great like i get 2 degrees with honours in just 5 years is great.
Like it is a National law University but again Himachal Pradesh National law University is tier 3 Placements are average not that higher like tier 1 college but here we get 2 months internship break per semester which helped alot.
The infrastructure of college is very good .. nice classrooms , they have all the equipments like water cooler, washrooms well maintained , libraries , sports centre and the canteen also for the students .
I am studying the ba llb Hons in Himachal Pradesh national law University as I have intrest in this field.. the teachers are very good and helpful they teach very well and always clears the doubt of the students
The placement of this college is very good and. Students gets placed in different hubs of the law and go for training in the court and some students also go for higher studies for specialisation in particular domain .
Good
College infrastructure is good. Located among the Shimla hills, classes are airy. College has a very peaceful and serene library . Hostel is nearby and food is included in hostel fees, auditorium was well built for events like moot court, guest lecture & research paper.
Faculty is experienced & all are PHD Holders. UGC Net & PHD is heavily encouraged in LLM pursuing students, as next steps in education. Ultimate goal of LLM is to become educators or go for PHD. Someone preparing for Judicial service may find this 1 year programme suiting their needs.
LLM is not for those who want placements. Someone who want to go forward as Assistant professor, or wants to do PHD. Recruiters are not available for LLM students. There were two streams at my time Constitutional Law & criminal law as a specialization.
If your goal is to pursue higher degrees like PHD or go into teaching line, this LLM degree is suitable for you. But if you are looking for placements on basis of the LLM degree, it is highly improbable. Although one can go for off campus placements.
Campus life is enriching. Amenities are good. One can study in peace & silence for long periods of time. Weather is quite good. Students & faculty is quite interactive & culture is good. Some protests also happened during my time against the Vice chancellor. However they were peaceful & meant for student welfare.
No
Hello there,
Given both of your ranks it is highly unlikely for you to secure a seat in HPNLU, as the range of closing rank is within 10800-11600 for BA LLB and 11200-13900 for BBA LLB. Considering you SC rank, the available seats for the category are beyond your reach
Hello
With an AIR of 30,920 and an SC category rank of 1,845, getting a seat in a top or mid-tier NLU is not likely. However, newer and lower-ranked NLUs can still be possible, especially in later rounds.
For HPNLU Shimla, chances are low but not completely impossible in mop-up
