NUALS Kochi offers admissions to the undergraduate, postgraduate diploma, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. Candidates first have to meet the eligibility criteria for NUALS Kochi admission. After that, candidates have to fill the university application form. B.A. L.L.B (H) and L.L.M programmes have a common National University of Advanced Legal Studies admission process. For National University of Advanced Legal Studies admission to B.A. L.L.B (H) and L.L.M programme, candidates have to appear for CLAT and CLAT PG respectively. After the declaration of the result, the institute will release the cutoff. Candidates meeting the cutoff have to appear for online counselling and will be allotted seats according to merit. Candidates will be selected on the basis of marks of the qualifying exam for PG diploma programme admission. As per the National University of Advanced Legal Studies admission procedure for Ph.D Law programme, candidates have to appear for university written test. Qualified candidates have to appear for a personal interview. 70% weightage has been assigned to the written test and 30% for interview for selection of the candidates. UGC-JRF/UGC-NET qualified candidates are exempted from the written test. Finally to confirm NUALS Kochi admission, candidates have to submit the documents and pay the fees.

NUALS Kochi offers a five-year full-time B.A. L.L.B (H) course. The structure of the course is divided into ten semesters and the duration of each semester is six months. Media and telecommunications law, psychological medicine and law, maritime law, forensic science are the various areas of B.A. L.L.B (H) programme. L.L.M is a one-year full-time programme offered by National University of Advanced Legal Studies. The institute offers L.L.M Constitutional and Administrative Law and L.L.M International Trade Law programmes.

Ph.D Law is a six-year full-time doctoral programme offered by NUALS Kochi. The required eligibility criteria for the programme is minimum 55% aggregate marks in a master’s degree. While filling the application form, candidates also have to submit the research proposal.

First, candidates have to meet the eligibility criteria.

UGC-JRF/NET lectureship examination qualified candidates are exempted from DAT.
Candidates who have secured minimum 50% marks in DAT are qualified for further admission round, that is interview. Relaxation of 5% is provided for SC/ST/OBC and other backward class candidates.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in the written test (70% weightage) and interview (30% weightage).
Those candidates who are exempted from DAT, will be selected on the basis of scores of master’s degree (70% weightage) and interview (30% weightage).
The following order of preference will be used for the selection of the candidates: UGC-JRF qualified candidates => UGC-NET qualified candidates => DAT qualified candidates.
Finally, selected candidates have to submit the documents and pay the fees to confirm their seats.
