Examination authority of KCET reserves certain amount of seats for the candidates falling under this criteria.

Who are eligible for Sport Special Category?

1. Candidates who have won National level cups/medals in Super-A Games or B-Games during five years of basic education in Karnataka
2. Candidates who have won cups and medals in Super-A and B- Games while studying in Karnataka from class 8 and 12 (five years)

You have to produce your certificate for claiming this reservation to avail the benefits.

For KCET:

Who are eligible for Sport Special Category?

In JOSAA you will get an option for sports quota. It has some criteria for good sportsman students in IIT and NIT. You should go with JOSAA counselling and fill form in sports quota.

The cut off for this year will be declared on the 23rd December. So you need to have patience till then. You can get all the information here. And congratulations on scoring such good percentage. It is a little difficult to say what the cut off for this year will be as it keeps varying each year. So just have a little more patience and wait till December 23 for them to declare the cut offs. If you have been alotted an open category seat you are supposed to pay fees fro open category only. Your fees would not be given the benefit of reserved category then.

But in rare cases if the alloted college has a vacancy for reserved seat and you have the caste validity certificate you might request the college management to reduce the fees and alot you the reserved vacant seat.

if not you have to pay the fees as per open category only.
