MHT-CET(Maharashtra- Common Entrance Test) is the entrance exam through which a candidate can get admission in Engineering as well as medical field.

The better the marks you score in CET the better college and the better branch you get in it.

So, based on your marks you will get admission in the colleges and also the admission in branches also depends on the marks you score in CET.

always try to score better marks so that there will be more chances for you to get admission in the top branches in top colleges.

also different colleges have different cutoffs for admission purpose.

Congrats to your son for scoring such a good percentile in MHT-CET exam.With this percentile it wont be tough for your son to get admission in top private colleges in Pune. The issue is that every department or branch has different cutoffs and different colleges have different cutoffs.

Your son can get good private college in pune but the branch may or may not be of his choice.

Highest cutoffs are for computer and IT department.

The most demanded branch in the current time is Computer/IT and to get admission in these branches in top college you need to score more than 90 percentile and you have score 95.49 percentile you can definitely get good and top private colleges in electrical engineering department.

As per the current situation the admission in any field in any college is given strictly on the basis of the entrance exams either the entrance exam be MHT-CET,JEE or other private entrance test held by the institutes itself.

There seems no chance for getting admission in any college without giving any of the entrance exams.

if there is any chance than that will also cost alot because it is only donation that may get you a seat.

At the current situation admission in any field in any college is done through some or the other entrance exams.

If we talk about MHT-CET then there are number of college or 90% colleges in Maharashtra which provide admission only through CET exam.But also there are many other colleges which keep their own entrance test and exam for admission purposes.

There are also some colleges which provide direct admission on the basis of 12th marks but that is done on the basis of donations and also there are very very few number of such colleges.

Make sure you look for proper cutoffs according to Quota (General, Ladies, PWD, TFWS), category and also according to the home or other than home university.

Already first round is over. Now you can have a look at current vacant seats if any for your desired college and hence know the chances of getting it.

I am sorry to say but with marks of 61 in MH CET LLB you may not expect to get admission in topmost colleges in Maharashtra but you may expect to get admission in some colleges based on your score and if you possess caste certificate, then it will be much easier. the cutoff mark is 114 for general category. It totaly depends on your qualification details to get an admission. For acurate details please go through the official webpage of the university. You should apply for the admission as you can get selectes if you have qualification for general category or any reservation category.
