    • Procedure : If you are allotted a TFWS seat in the first round but wish to seek a better option, you can opt for betterment in the next rounds. To do this, you need to express your preference for betterment when filling out your choices for the subsequent rounds. Ensure you follow the official guidelines provided by the admission authority.
  2. Seat Retention :

    • If No Betterment Seat is Allotted : If you do not get any seat in the second CAP round, your original TFWS seat from the first round will still be reserved for you. The seat is retained until you either accept a new allotment or the admission process concludes.
  3. Important Note :

    • Documentation and Confirmation : Keep track of all notifications and deadlines related to seat allotment and betterment. Ensure that you confirm your seat according to the prescribed procedures to avoid losing it.

you can go for betterment in the subsequent CAP rounds, and if you don’t get a new seat, your previous TFWS seat will be retained.

With a 70.87 percentile in MHT CET and a Maharashtra state rank of 80422 in the OBC category, aiming for a TFWS (Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme) seat in Computer Science (CS) or Information Technology (IT) can be challenging but not impossible. Based on previous trends, here are some Pune colleges where you might have a chance:

  1. Government College of Engineering, Pune (COEP) : While COEP is highly competitive, there may be a slim chance in lower branches or through TFWS if seats are available.

  2. Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCOE) : PCCOE is a well-regarded college in Pune that might offer IT or CS seats through TFWS depending on availability.

  3. Sinhgad College of Engineering : This college generally has a range of engineering branches and could offer IT or CS through TFWS, though competition is significant.

  4. Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT) : VIT Pune might have openings for CS or IT under the TFWS scheme.
