Is there any way to get admission in government engineering college Thrissur for Btech through jee mains and cbse boards score, if i didnt able to give keam? If yes what is minimum percentile required in jee for CSE ?

Dear candidate!

I am afraid to tell you that the Government Engineering college Thrissur accepts only KEAM scores and this exam has already been taken successfully on 16 the July 2020.

But do not worry there are various colleges in keral that accepts Jee scores as well . You can find these details about them in the given link

if I crack Keam then how much fee for b.tech. I am from Bihar. My category is SC. Is reservation for non Kerala students?

Fee structure varies depending on the colleges. On an average, per semester fee is round 20,000 INR.

Also, as you are from SC category, so there is relaxation of 5% in minimum aggregate marks, that is, you must have minimum 45% in 10+2 from a recognized board with physics, chemistry and mathematics as mandatory subjects.

Hello aspirant,

Yes, you can definitely get a seat in Government engineering college, Thrissur based on your JEE MAINS score if meet the cutoff.
But, I would insist you to appear for KEAM because a major proportion of seats are alloted to based on KEAM and a very less number of seats are alloted based on JEE MAINS marks.

which college is better for civil engineering, CET Trivandrum or GEC Thrissur ? What minimum marks in keam and what percentage in plus two pcm would be required? Whats your opinion about civil engineering? hows the placement at both the colleges?

Hello aspirant,

I would suggest you to check both the college's review on our website and choose the best on your own decision.

As far as you consider my opinion I would suggest you to choose CET Trivandrum for civil engineering.

Civil Engineering is a core branch and an evergreen branch to study, it wont go out of fashion for a very long time plus if you want to know about 12th percentage I would suggest you to have at least 80% or more for getting admission in any good college. specially in PCM if you have over 70% it will be sufficient.

You can always rely on college for placements but for stream like civil engineering you have a great opportunity to work for government as well by giving the required exams.

Hello Aspirant!!
EEE is one of the most demanding branch of present generation and it also have many future scope.As per your query both of the colleges are nearly same in infrastructure and faculties but despite this I would advice you to go for model engineering college as it have slightly good percentage criteria as it nearly 80 +company visited last year and almost75-80% students get placed with great package.
So,at last choice is yours.

I got 432 marks in keam 2019(engg) and 95, 95, 96 in PCM in class 12 boards. Will i get admission in cet tvm and gec Thrissur.

Your approximate rank is in between the range of 1500-1600. This is a really good rank.
However, the courses/Branches that you'll have a good probability of getting in CET with this rank is Applied Electronics & Instrumentation , Civil Engineering and Industrial Engineering.

For GEC Thrissur, you can get Civil Engineering, Chemical, ECE, EE, Mechanical and Production Engineering.

Infrastructure of college is also good..
For better placements you need better skills..

I got ec at GEC THRISSUR but my sister got the same at model engineering college thrikkakara. Placement s are far better in model when compared to GEC .I am a bittle worried now . I went to the college to know that placement is going very low since past years

College Infrastructure

The college has fairly good infrastructure facilities. All facilities like lab, hostels, library are available. the campus has sports facilities, auditoriums, and recreational spaces for students. campus life and social life is actually nice.

The college is the finest in Kerala, no doubt about it.

College Infrastructure

The college was established a long time back and is quite old in terms of its infrastructure, but a new block for mechanical engineering was recently inaugurated indicating that development is still being made. The toilets are kept just neat enough and all other facilities such as labs, hostels and libraries are well maintained.
