Hi Aspirant,
Yes you can take admission in DTU ,if you are having obc certificate then on OBC quota but before that you need to get scores to clear cutoff to get admission.Admission to BA (H) Economics and BBA courses offered by USME is based on the performance in qualifying examination.B tech admission is based on the JEE scores and CEE exam conducted by the college itself. For B desg the college goes for UCEED score and for Mtech it accepts gate scores only.
Hope it helps!!
Dear Anurag,
On 96 percentile your rank will be somewhere between 40920 - 46000.
You can check your rank yourself by going through our rank predictor tool, below I am pasting the link for it.
https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor
Now for an OBC candidate of Outside Delhi region, the maximum closing rank in 2020 was 30366 for Environmental Engineering and by 30,000 rank all the branch of DTU get filled. And as you asked about Mechanical Engineering, then the closing rank for it was 27306.
You can check the cutoff and other details of DTU by following the link below.
https://www.careers360.com/university/delhi-technological-university-delhi
So by the above analysis, it seems that you have very low chance to get seat in DTU with any branch unfortunately.

Hi
It is very difficult to predict the marks/percentile/rank required in JEE mains to get a seat in DTU as cut off keeps changing every year due upon several factors like
number of students that appeared in the jee main exam,
kind of marks obtained by them ,
toughness level of the jee main examination ,
number of seats available for the branch you want etc.
When we go through previous year trend then ,
In round 9 of jac counselling 2020, for obc category to get Mathematics and Computing, 99556 crl rank was closing rank for delhi region student in DTU.
You can check the same at
https://cache.careers360.mobi/media/uploads/froala_editor/files/1608643929phpfepjgf.pdf
So, to be on the safer side you should try to get around 90,000 rank which is roughly around 92 percentile as per our rank predictor at
https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor
Also,
To be eligible for DTU one must pass his or her class 12th board examination with physics chemistry mathematics and English and must have got at least 60% in aggregate of physics chemistry and mathematics .
Seats are offered through JAC Delhi counselling conducted on the basis of jee main.
In which 85% seats are reserved for Delhi region students.
While the rest 15% seats are available for outside Delhi students

Thankyou
Dear Aspirant,
There is not any fixed data for cutoffs in Delhi Technical university as it varies year to year still if you score more than 98 percentile then you are in safe side. Mostly seats are reserved for home state students that's why cutoff is little bit high for the outsiders, you can expect around 10K minimum to get the seat of Mathematics and computing. here I'm providing you the data of 2019 and 2020 cutoff for mathematics and computing so you can understand in a easy way.
cutoff's-
2019- 4412 closing rank
2020- 14055 closing
Here you can see by yourself the difference of cutoff for both the year, as a OBC student 10K maybe enough for you to get this seat in DTU.
Best of Luck!!!
Dear aspirant,
The commencement of jac delhi registration and counselling was tentatively on last week of May and the fee payment was allowed till third week of June. Then the round 1 results were supposed to be declared in the month of July.
But as we all are aware of the current pandemic situation and as the jee mains exams were delayed the jac delhi counselling were also delayed. But as the dates for jee mains exam has been announced so after declaration of the results of jee mains it will be released any time soon.
So,please be patient and stay calm and give your best shot at the jee mains exam.
I hope this answer helped you out!!
