Considering your priorities, JSPM Tathawade (Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering) is likely the better choice among your four options. Its modern campus, focus on industry-relevant skills, and good infrastructure for computer-related fields align well with your needs. AISSMS COE is also a solid choice, but JSPM seems to have a slight edge in terms of campus and focus on technology.

However you can go through pros and cons of these universities

JSPM Tathawade (Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering):

Pros: Modern campus, good infrastructure, decent placements, and a focus on industry-relevant skills.

Cons: Can be a bit farther from the city center compared to AISSMS.

Coding Focus: Has a dedicated focus on Computer Science and related fields, which often benefits students interested in coding electives.

PVG (Pune Vidyarthi Griha's College of Engineering):

Pros: Good reputation, strong academic support, and decent placements.

Cons: May not have the same level of modern infrastructure as JSPM.

DIT Pimpri (Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Technology):

Pros: Good reputation, decent placements, and a decent campus.

Cons: May not be as strong in coding electives as JSPM or AISSMS.

Dear Aspirant,

With a CET rank of 1,30,000, getting into top government engineering colleges can be tough, especially for popular branches like Computer Science or Electronics. However, you still have a good chance of gaining admission to several private engineering or polytechnic colleges, particularly in less competitive branches like Civil, Mechanical, or Biotechnology. It’s important to participate in all rounds of CET counselling and list as many options as possible to boost your chances. Some private institutions, particularly in Tier-2 or Tier-3 categories, often accept students with higher ranks. Colleges like Don Bosco Institute of Technology, AMC Engineering College, East Point College of Engineering, and T-John Institute of Technology may be options, depending on the branch and seat availability. If you belong to a reserved category or qualify for a state or rural quota, your chances of landing a better college increase. You can also look into direct admission options at private colleges or consider pursuing a diploma at a polytechnic institution as an alternative path.

Use the given college predictor tool. It helps in predicting the most likely colleges for admission.

Hello,

Yes, you can apply for MHT-CET even if you don’t belong to Maharashtra by birth or education, because you may be eligible under the Defence (DEF-1) category.

In your case:

1. Your father served in Maharashtra in the Indian Coast Guard from 2011 to 2017, which is 6 years – this fits the DEF-1 criteria.

2. You also studied in Maharashtra from Class 1 to 5, which helps support your case.

3. You don’t need to be a Maharashtra domicile to apply under the Defence quota.

Make sure to select Select the DEF-1 category while applying.

Hope it helps !

With 80 percentile in MHT CET, you can expect the following for Chemical Engineering:

  • Government colleges: Possible in later rounds at GCOE Chandrapur, DBATU Lonere, and University Department Jalgaon. GCOE Amravati or SGGS Nanded are unlikely unless cutoffs drop or you have a reserved category.

  • Private colleges (more likely):

    • AISSMS COE, Pune

    • MITAOE, Alandi

    • PCCOER, Pune

    • G H Raisoni COE, Nagpur

    • DY Patil COE (Akurdi/Ambi)

    • JSPM group colleges

Hello

You have scored 60.63 percentile in MHT CET (PCB group) and your target course is Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm).

Admission Chances Based on College Type:

Government Pharmacy Colleges: Very low chance of admission

Top Private Colleges (such as MIT-WPU, Bharati Vidyapeeth, D.Y. Patil): Unlikely

Mid-tier Private Colleges: Borderline chances

Private Colleges in rural or small cities: Good chances

Suggestions for Admission:

1. Apply through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) counselling conducted by the Maharashtra government.

2. Fill as many college options as possible, including less-known and lower-ranked institutions.

3. Explore institute-level quota where colleges admit students directly if seats remain after CAP.

4. Keep your documents ready, including your scorecard, category certificate (if applicable), domicile, and others.

Backup Options to Consider:

Take admission in Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) and then enter B.Pharm through lateral entry into the second year.

Go for B.Sc. Biotechnology, B.Sc. Microbiology, or B.Sc. Chemistry, which can lead to careers in pharma or allied sciences.

Look for private pharmacy colleges in other states that accept lower MHT CET percentiles or Class 12 merit.

Examples of Likely Colleges Accepting Students Around 60 Percentile:

Yashwant Redekar College of Pharmacy, Nesari, Sindhudurg: Suitable for both reserved and general category students.

Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Research for Girls, Daund, Pune: Girls-only institution, better chances for female candidates.

Indira College of Pharmacy, Nanded: Accepts students with 60 to 70 percentile, especially under reservation quotas.

Sudhakarrao Naik Institute of Pharmacy, Pusad, Yavatmal: Last year’s cut-off was around 28,000 rank (equivalent to 55 percentile), good for reserved category students.

If you want to see which college you will get based on your CET percentile then the best way is to use college predictor tools these tools are available on websites like Careers360 . where you just have to enter your percentile your exam name and your category and then it shows you a list of colleges where students with similar scores got admission last year this list helps you guess where you might get a seat this year for example if your CET percentile is 85 and last year students with 85 percentile got admission in some specific college then your chances are also good this year but it also depends on your category like general OBC SC ST and your home state or outside state quota because some colleges reserve seats for local students so if you are from the same state your chances are better also check previous year cutoff data of colleges because they show which branch closed at which percentile like Computer Science may close at 90 percentile and Electrical may close at 75 percentile so you can guess which branch is possible for you you should also check open round or spot round cutoffs sometimes students don’t join after allotment and those seats are again given in next round so even if your percentile is little less you might still get the seat in spot round always keep checking the official counselling website for updates they will show the official cutoff list round by round then you can compare your percentile and see where you can go for admission also keep multiple colleges in your choice list not just top ones because sometimes even with good percentile you may not get your first choice due to less seats so stay smart and choose backup colleges also some college predictor tools also give prediction for private colleges where admission is still open even after CET counselling closes so check those too if you don’t get seat in first counselling don’t worry try in second or third round and if possible apply for management quota too in private colleges if your budget allows this way you can still get good college based on your CET percentile without missing the year and always keep all your documents ready and check your rank in category list also not just overall list because cutoff is different for each category this is the best way to see which college you can get from your CET score and prepare for counselling smoothly without any confusion or last minute stress .
