Hello,

Achieving a JEE Main percentile of 95–98, which typically aligns with scores ranging from 140 to 170, places you in the running for essential branches such as CSE, ECE, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil at Tier-2 NITs/IIITs, and possibly even CSE at select IIITs. For example, NIT Silchar, Goa, or Raipur have traditionally enrolled within that percentile range.

Tuition costs at NITs typically vary between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.5 lakhs annually for students in the general category. Private universities accepting students in comparable percentile ranges may demand tuition fees of Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 3 lakhs annually, along with Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh for accommodation and meals.

Hope this helps. All the best!

Hello,

Achieving an 80 percentile in MHT-CET gives you a good opportunity to gain entry into many private and mid-tier engineering colleges in Maharashtra, particularly in essential fields such as Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, and Electronics & Telecommunication.

Although leading government colleges such as COEP, VJTI, and ICT Mumbai often expect a percentile exceeding 95–98, your score could assist you in gaining admission to esteemed private universities like MIT World Peace University (Pune), DY Patil College of Engineering (Pune), Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCOE), Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT), and Pune Institute of Computer Technology (PICT) for non-computer engineering fields.

At this percentile, you might not secure Computer Science or IT in the leading private colleges since those programs fill at higher percentiles, but in subsequent counselling rounds, you may gain entry to less sought-after branches. Monitor the CAP (Centralized Admission Process) rounds closely and enter a diverse array of preferences to enhance your opportunities.

Hope this helps. All the best!

If your KEAM general rank is 2234 and you belong to the Muslim category, you have a chance to get admission in good government colleges.

In 2024, the last rank for Muslim category at CET Trivandrum was around 786 for Computer Science, 1082 for Electronics and Communication, and 2197 for Mechanical Engineering. Your rank is just above the Mechanical cut-off. So, you may get Mechanical Engineering at CET if the cut-off goes slightly higher this year.

For branches like CSE or ECE in CET, your rank is not within the previous cut-off. But you may still get good branches in other government or private engineering colleges under the Muslim quota.

You can check cut-offs and apply for counselling here:

HELLO,

With 103 marks in CET and 67 marks in PCM , your KCET rank is likely to be in the range of 18000 to 25000.This rank may allow you get into some private engineering colleges or lesser known institutions

Here is a more detailed breakdown :-

1.A KCET score of 103 is considered decent but not high. Your rank will depend on factors like the difficulty of the exam and the performance of other candidates

2.Your 67% in PCM (assuming you mean your 2nd PUC/12th grade marks ) will also be considered in your KCET rank calculation . A higher percentage can slightly improve your overall ranking .

3.With a rank in the 18000-25000 range you may be able to get into some private colleges in Bangalore or other cities in Karnataka

Hope that Helps!

With these scores, it is very difficult to get admission in BPT course in government colleges. You may try for private colleges under SC quota.

MHT B.Design CET is an entrance exam for Bachelor of Design courses in Maharashtra. It includes sections like Design Aptitude, Creativity, and Logical Reasoning. Check official portal for updates.

Yes, you can get admission in BPT through private colleges that accept MHT CET PCB scores, but not through NEET-based government colleges.

Hello Aspirant,

If you are in the SC category, with 58 percentile in MHT CET, you have a decent chance of converting admission to AIDS (Artificial Intelligence & Data Science) at PCCOE (Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering) or other same tier institutes in Pune.

  • The cutoffs for SC categories are not so strict.
  • PCCOE and institutes with similar cutoffs like AISSMS IOIT, Zeal College , and DY Patil Akurdi, may have less cut-off in future CAP rounds for SC candidates.
  • CAP rounds 2 and 3 are important times to maintain focus and consider also applying for vacancy/institutional rounds if you need a boost.

Make sure you are checking the official DTE Maharashtra portal and last year's SC category cutoffs for support. Refer here for more information: PCCOE Cutoff

Hello,

Yes, with a 622 rank in IPU CET for MBA and being a Delhi candidate, you have a good chance of getting admission in MAIT (Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology).

You don’t need to worry about not giving the CAT exam. IPU CET rank is enough for admission in MAIT under the CET quota.

Just make sure to keep MAIT high in your preference list during counselling.

Hope it helps !

Hello,

If your son's APEAPCET rank is 7167 , then the EWS rank will be mentioned separately on the APEAPCET rank card only if he is eligible under the EWS category .

There is no separate calculation for EWS rank manually. You have to check the rank card or wait for counselling , where EWS category ranks will be considered.

If EWS is mentioned in the application and eligible, the EWS rank will be shown along with the overall rank.

Hope it helps !
