As compared to other colleges of west Bengal,the scenario is much better(except 1 0r 2 other private colleges).You would get chance to appear in Mass IT recruiter companies like TCS, INFOSYS, WIPRO. Recently from last 2 years TECH-Mahindra is also visiting.The average placement from all the branches combined

is there any chance of upgradation of branch in HIT,haldia after getting admission

If you have confirmed your admission you can't change your branch preference. You can change it later after completing 1st year of engineering if you have clear your all subjects and score good marks.

Changing branch depends on college to college. You can once confirmed it from officials.

The college campus is spacious with modern classrooms equipped with smart boards and projectors. Laboratories are well-stocked with updated equipment for practice learning. The library offers a good selection of books and e-resources, while sports facilities and indoor recreation areas enhance campus life. Hostels are organized, clean, and provide a comfortable living environment with reliable Wi-Fi throughout the campus.

College Infrastructure

Infrastructure at HIT Haldia is okay for MTech ECE. Labs got equipment for signal processing and circuits, but some old machines need update. Library big with journals, WiFi works in most places. Hostels separate for boys girls, clean but rooms small, mess food average spicy. Campus 37 acres green, sports ground for football, but no AC in classrooms, hot in summer. Helps labs but could be better.
