Haldia Institute of technology is an autonomous engineering institute in West Bengal. It is approved by AICTE and affiliated to MAKAUT.

Infrastructure:

There is smart classroom and very labs. Hostels are also good. The food provided there is also good. Medical facilities available and also very good. Sports and games are organized in a very good way. So overall the infrastructure is very good.

Faculty:

As it is one of the best stream in this college so the faculties are also good and they teaches and creates interests in you for the subject. They are student friendly and well educated too.

Placement:

Almost 70% students get placed every year. The highest package salary offered was 7 LPA and the lowest salary was 2 LPA. The average salary is 3.6 LPA. The companies come here are, Johnson Control, Yokogawa, PCBL, HPL, Topcem, Wipro and Infosys.

College placement is average. If u r a brilliant sutdent and have got good cgpa u r surely gonna good job. since this college is located in Haldia and there are a lot of local and good companies like IOCL indian oil HDA and sone more companies so there is a good chance to get appointed there and also lots of mnc also come there like wipro, tcs etc.

1. IT Firms- If you are interested in this sector,then u have a chance of not being a jobless. One Mass recruiter visits the campus like TCS, wipro, tech mahindra, IBM. 3–3.2 lpa along with other small start ups do visit.
2. Core- Since last 3 yrs, (a)Haldia Petrochemicals have started recruiting from campus again.This is a purely plant Job and toppers are generally preferred for final selection. 5–5.5lpa. (b) Topchem Cement located at Meghalaya with 18–20k in hand.

Compared to both the Colleges, the placements opportunities are not that great for Core streams but good for CS and IT students. In terms of infrastructure and Facilities LPU is the better one. In comparison to CSE stream LPU is the better choice. Many IT Companies like TCS,Wipro, Infosys, CTS Visit the campus for recruitment. The competition is also high in the campus.
