The placements of both thesse are good. ITER college comes 2nd after KIIT in orissa. 

Heirtage institute of technology has good placement. 85% students were placed with packages more than 5 LPA. After all it depends on the ability and knowledge of students to get placed. Companies need best minds for their work. The people with good working capabilities are easily hired in these colleges. Now its upto you to choose from them.

Hii,The department of biotechnology is the best department in Heritage and also the best in the eastern region. If you are a sincere student, you will have the best guidance available as the teachers are highly qualified. My department (civil) is exactly opposite in nature.

Also some members of the faculty(biotech) have earned good name in their field of specialisation. If you have plans for further studies abroad, you can get recommendation letters from teachers which can provide a means of doing PHD with scholarship. There is good scope in this field and very less competition.

I have friends from the same department who have done very well and now they will pack up and sail to the US for phd ( you need not do masters) with full scholarship.

Make sure you are among the best candidates and have good performance throughout all sems in college. Biotechnology has no future for an average student, but an easy life for good ones
