So considering you as a general category student, based on your rank, you can expect all other branches except Computer Science and Engineering and Information Technology. As CSE and IT are among the most demanded branches so the cutoffs are quite higher. Now you have 5.6k rank. And going by last few years' data, Computer Science and Engineering in Heritage Institute of Technology filled within 3200 rank and Information Technology seats get filled within 4000 rank after round 3 of counselling. The closing ranks of all other branches in HIT are around 10000 rank. So you can expect any of them. Now this is based on previous few years' cutoffs and this year it might change. heritage institute of technology is an renounced institute in west bengal. college has separate boys and girls hostel. however time to time college hostel fees change and it is not mentioned in the official website. however I would suggest you to directly contact with college for latest details,

Dear learner Heritage is definitely a good college to be in. But current scenario suggests that placements in Mechanical are down a bit. So it would be much better for you to take up Computer Science as placements would be much better due to the technological boom. Now its up to you. Good luck!

According to last year data in case of you belongs to Unreserve category cut-off by rank 9695, in case of reserve category 15403, or if you are a economically weaker category cut-off by rank 9695.

See, CSE and ECE branches seats get over by 5,000-6000 rank, however there is still chance if waiting list gets cleared or by management quota. Also, with this rank you can get seat in IT or Electrical applied instrumentation. Also, you can upgrade it to CSE or ECE, if you get 8.5+ CGPA in 1st semester.

In order to get CSE there your rank should be less than 3000 or 3400.
Similar is the closing rank for information technology.
For getting ECE your rank should be around 7000 or less.

Heritage Institute of Technology is one of the best private engineering colleges that accept WBJEE Score. So the cutoffs are pretty high for CSE and IT. Now you haven't mentioned your category, so considering you as a general category student, and going by last year's cutoffs, you must secure a rank within 3000 if you wish to get Computer Science or Information Technology there. Last year the closing rank for CSE was 3434 and for IT, it was 3436. For both the branches, the cutoff are almost same. For Electronics, try to secure a rank within 5500 as last year the closing rank in Electronics was 5735 for general category. Now this year the cutoffs might get changed as these depend on various factors.

College Infrastructure
Campus is big and clean. Classrooms are decent with AC facility in many of them. ECE labs are well equipped. Library has good space and Wi-Fi. Canteen food is okay, and overall infrastructure feels modern and comfortable.

College Infrastructure
Overall good, but needs drastic correction in academic decorum. Profs are good, if you want to improve you're at right place. No extra burden of classes, but need more extra curricular activities. Thank you
