Hello,

Eastern Institute for Integrated Learning in Management (EIILM) offers three courses, viz., BBA, MBA and BBA in hotel and hospitality management. Total count of faculties is 35 and total students enrolled is 516. On the other hand, IEM which stands for Institute of Engineering and Management, Kolkata comprises of faculties count as 235 and total students enrollment is 722. It offers various courses such as B. E/B.Tech, M. E/M.Tech, PGDM, BBA, MCA and MBA. The NIRF has ranked it 101 among the other private colleges in India.

If you have got a call from IEM you must at least appear for the interview go get some experience. But the college is not very good for management education. You should also register for Globsyn Business School Kolkata and IBS Kolkata (through  the written exam of IBSAT) as it will provide better placement opportunities than IEM.

To get the benefit of TFW scheme, the candidate has to submit the income certificate issued after 31st March 2012 in the name of his father (in case of father is not alive, in the name of mother) from either ‘Mamlatdar’ or ‘Taluka development officer’ or Collector (Jan Seva Kendra) at the time of registration for admission. No other certificate/document will be considered valid (e.g. Income tax return copy, Certificate issued by ‘Sarpanch’ of Grampanchayat etc.)

So, now if you apply for IEM kolkota on basis on TFW category even if you are in general category, you would be considered under tfw category.

Hope this helps.

All the best.

hi,

yes iem, institute of engineering and management is one of the best institute in kolkata after the government colleges of west bengal to study btech courses.

computer science department of iem has the best placement record along with experience faculty.

average packages offers to cse candidates is 3.5 lpa. highest packages offers in recent year is 12lpa. hope it would help.

CSE is IEM and Kalyani Government college is almost same. Both the colleges are equally good. But placements are little better in Kalyani Government Engineering college than IEM. Kalyani Government engineering has many highly established alumnus. Classes are conducted in a better way. CSE in heritage is not comparable with these too.

IEM and Heritage Institute of Technology both are top colleges in West Bengal for engineering. But when comparing, Institute of engineering and management is better in terms of discipline, infrastructure, placement. Its location is another advantage, it is located at the centre of the IT Hub of Kolkata.

Hey!There

Both of them are good,it is hard to make choice from two.You can go with your availability and affordability. As placement scene is quite good in both.Facilities and syllabus pattern is quite good.CSE stream is considered as main stream in both Colleges as these stream are affiliated from earlier times.IEM has little bit better rating in respect of GLA.Rest on you and your choice.

GOOD LUCK!

Hello,

Both are equally good and very similar in terms of placement in CSE branch. Both have a good placement record with 5-8LPA as average package.

I hope this helps.

Hello,

As far as placements is concerned i would say that you should go for KIIT because placement of KIIT is impressive and even more in CSE & IT branches as its has 100% placement record.Othe college you mentioned are also good. KGEC and Techno india st lake is also good in terms of placement for CSE.

I hope this helps.

Hello,
CSE in Kalyani Government Engineering College will be much better. I'm a local here and I know many pupils from both the colleges. The placements are much better in the Kalyani Government engineering College than the IEM. Kalyani Gov Engineering college has many highly established alumis. The classes are conducted better in IEM though. Hope this helped!

only come here if u dont get in somewhere else

College Infrastructure

it does have moderately good facilities when compared to other colleges in kolkata (other than JU and IIEST shibpur as they are in a league of their own) but when compared to other top colleges (iem claims to be a top college), it falls short and it falls short by A LOT

My college is best in all Courses.

College Infrastructure

One of the best infrastructure maintained with the equipment needed. Faculties are the best in business best in there field all are the rich in experience in there perticular field. Absolute clean and greeney.

its a good college to study and placements.

College Infrastructure

It has modern classrooms, good labs, and a central library but limited space and several wifi and network issues. Infrastructure is decent but not so good. But they have ac which is good for this summer.
