As you have secured a high rank in WBJEE I regret to inform you that it is not possible for you to secure a seat in JALPAIGURI government engineering college. But dont get disappointed as you can try for various private engineering colleges for the course of CSE.

• The fees should be affordable 
• The city should not be such that you cannot adjust to the lifestyle

  Opening rank : 2450

  Closing rank : 6854

2017 :

Opening rank : 1829

Closing rank : 6156

JGEC is one of the good government colleges of engineering in that state. For CSE, IT and core branch students the placements are good. But the placemnets are going on decreasing year by year for this college. Only some students are getting placed. But students of JGEC are placed well

I would suggest you to go for KGEC. KGEC is better than JGEC in terms of placements. Its a government college and so, by the end of 4 years placement happens but the most of the teaching staff are worthless and a lot of encouraging things must be
