In order to get admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs, you should have minimum 75% as a General category & 65% as a reserved category or you should be in top 20 percentile in class 12th from the respective board.

Yeah, There is a percentage criteria for taking admission in NIT College . For a General category guy , atleast 75% is mandatory and for SC/St it is 65%. But Overall percentage is taken into consideration and not only the percentage in PCM .

I am sorry to say that ,as you have scored very low percentile in JEE mains you have very little chances of getting NITs ,On my opinion you can appear in JEE mains april attempt and try to improve your percentile to above 90 to get any NITs

Firstly I'm telling you admission for nit are based on the rank not on the percentile while on Ruthr sketch you should get more than 95 percentile ,simce you are not eligible for nit but you have still chance for going to colleges giving admission based on jee
