My experience in this college till now has been good.

      College Infrastructure

Here, all necessary equipment and facilities are available. All classrooms are air-conditioned and have well-maintained projectors and facilities. Lift facility is available. There is a good library where you can get nearly all the books that the faculty recommend for exams. The food in the canteen is hygienic. The campus is not very spacious, though, which would be a preference for some people. Hostel facilities are good and transportation is available for hostelers.

      Academics

I'm currently pursuing B.Tech (ECE). The quality of teaching is good and academics is given a lot of importance here. Faculty are well-qualified but sometimes the teaching is not up to the mark. Tests are scheduled in an appropriate manner and it is made sure that every student attends all the tests. The curriculum is updated periodically and personality development or aptitude classes are conducted from a very early stage. However, teaching is more exam-oriented and less job-oriented.

      Placements

Placements here are very good. More than 500 very reputed companies like TCS, Wipro, Amazon, Google, etc. come for placements every year. Average salary is 5 lakhs per annum. Placement trainings for students are also very thorough and of good quality.

      Value for Money

The cost of my course per year is Rs.1,75,000. Students who excel in sports can get a 100% scholarship on entering the college and need not pay at all. Also, there are scholarships based on your SGPA (Semester Grade Point Average) ie. your performance in the end semester exams and that can be availed at the end of each semester. However, the fees is much higher than that of Anna University affiliated colleges. Also, hostel and transportation fees is also very high. So value-for-money is low.

      Campus Life

The advantage of studying here is that it is located right at the heart of the city and has a metro station and a bus stop very close to it, so commute is easy. Also, just behind the college is Forum Mall so students can spend time there after college, which is usually the case. Faculty are helpful and approachable. Many technical clubs and events for students are there. One major negative is that co-curricular activities are very less because primary focus is on academics.

      Others

My experience has been good till now. There is a lot of recognition for excellence in academics here. Toppers are awarded on special occasions like the Annual Day. I was able to avail scholarships based on my semester exam results and that was a very good thing. You also get a lot of exposure about various things once you join SRM.

      College Infrastructure

College is small building more like a school. Faculty is helping and experienced. Classroom are good with centralized AC. Library is like a small room not good at all. Food is clean and hygienic. Lab are good.

      Academics

I am pursuing bteach in CS. Teachers are helping. Curriculum is updated and development is made time to time. Most of the things depends upon you, you are the only one who can make yourself job ready.

      Placements

Placement is average, mainly depends upon the student. Highest package was of 30l/a and was bagged by cse student. The package was given by Amazon. I am currently in my first year so I am not completely aware.

      Value for Money

2lakhs per annum. It's a private college so they want money.
