Hello aspirant!

Common Entrance Test or CET is an entrance test for engineering. It is based on application part of the syllabus that you have learnt in 11th and 12th. The questions are multiple choice and in most of the questions you need to solve the problems.

Preparing for CET is very different from boards as in boards you focus more theory, derivations and diagrams more. However, CET or any entrance exam for that matter, requires a lot of efforts and practice. You must be very quick and concentrated and must a few tricks and techniques.

  1. Solve sample question papers daily and set a timing too.
  2. Dedicate more time for difficult topics and focus on important concepts first.
  3. Revise all the formulae everyday along with their explanation, you must be thorough in it.
  4. Understand the pattern of exam and kind of questions that are likely to appear.
  5. Read NCERT textbook properly as a few questions can be asked directly from NCERT.
  6. Learn a few tricks and hacks so that you can avoid some lengthy calculations at certain places.
  7. You must know approximate values of commonly used constants, logs, square roots, cube roots etc., chemical compositions of certain compounds and their molecular weights etc.

You can prepare for CET in 20 days or so, but you can't master the topics. Continous practice is what helps you to score better. Nevertheless, begin your preparation as soon as you can. All the best!

Hello dasparji . As you are from orisaa so you even have a benifit of home state quota if you had given your 12th board exam from odisha itself if not then you might not get good branch in college of engineering bhubneshwar but still if you do not have any home state quota you will for sure get admission into it with some lower branches like textile engineering , fashion technology or bachelor of planning but bachelor of planning is for architecture students so you can get admission through this two branch only .

Hello Manisha,

Hope you are doing well.

For taking admission into BDS (Dental Sciences), you have to give NEET entrance exam and not CET. It has become a mandatory rule/criteria for all medical colleges offering MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BPT, etc courses to admit the students via NEET. Try giving this entrance examination

Hope this answers your query!

Hello candidate

There is no negative exam for the entrance exam of cet.

For each correct answer you will be getting one mark and for each wrong answer you will get zero. There is no negative marks in cet entrance exam.

Thankyou hope this might help you

I also want to know about this. as I am not from Maharashtra. I guess it will be difficult to get admission in Maharashtra for physiotherapy.

And I've seen last year result of physiotherapy in Maharashtra, students who got 100 or 150 marks in neet got admission in Physiotherapy college may be because they all are from Maharashtra that's why even after getting low marks they got physiotherapy college.
