On the basis of my research on these two colleges,seeing the placements record i would suggest you to go for ITER as it has offered the highest package i.e, 33lpa and the average is 6lpa whereas in haldia institute of technology the highest package offered is 25lpa and the average package offered is around 4lpa.

Talking about the faculties of ITER and haldia as well then both the Institute has pretty good and skillful faculties. Also the facilities are good and labs are fully equipped. It's just that placement record of ITER is better than HALDIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY.

If you are asking about the bihar student credit card criteria then let me tell you that the colleges should have the following accreditations-

1) the colleges must have at least A grade by NAAC

2) the colleges must be accredited by NBA

3) The colleges must be ranked by NIRF

since HALDIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY qualify these points so it is eligible for BIHAR STUDENT CREDIT CARD YOJANA and so students can apply for BIHAR LOAN for their higher studies in this college.

Haldia Institute if technology offers both Vegetarian and non-vegetarian food in the hostel. During lunch, in veg food you will get rice, pulses, two different types of vegetables, snacks like papad, curd/rayta and chappati. And in non veg you will get fish/chicken/egg curry + veg recipies .

Almost same goes for dinner, but you will also get some desert during dinner. And on some days of week, you will get punjabi food (chole bhature/naan) or south indian varieties. In snacks you will get maggie, some soups or juices, and other junk food.

I would suggest you to select the institute which is at vicinity of your hometown. As Placement and Career prospects in Civil at both the Institutes are bleak, however HIT Haldia has certain scope in Core with Comapnies like Simplex, Berger Paints as well as in Non Core Sector with companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, Infosys and Deloitte conducting mass recruitments.

If you are interested in Civil, I would advise you to prepare for UPSC ESE Examination for Prestigious Indian Engineering Service or for GATE in final year followed by Masters from one of the Higher Technical Institutes like Top IITs, NITs, BITS Pilani or IISc Bangalore. HIT Haldia has a very good history of students performing excellent in Examinations like GATE and currently pursuing Masters or working at Engineering Positions in Public Sector Enterprises.

Both the colleges have good infrastructural facilities like hostel, cafeteria, library, hospital or medical facilities etc.Haldia Institute of Technology would be better in comparison. The college has got good training and placement cell which gives all the support for the training and placement related activities.A good number of companies(Nestle, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, Mahindra etc) visited the campus and gives the placement offers. I believe the only advantage Heritage has over HIT Haldia, is its location. Being located in Kolkata provides impetus to training and placement prospects. Besides this both the above institutes have good infrastructure, faculty and safe campuses.

This college is one of the best private college of west bengal. It has great infrastructure , a big library names Aryabhatta. Teachers are very helpful and caring. You will get a lot to explore here in your coming four years. First of all the placements depends upon market according to need,when IT sector has very high demand, almost every students get selected.

HIT is the best known for its core branches. Some core branches like chemical engineering, BT, FT and AEIE have very good placements. Approximately 60-70% of the students got placed in the previous year, which is the best according to any other private colleges in Kolkata. CS, IT and ECE branches have 80-90% placement record every year.

Students are eligible for campus placement from 6 th sem . Many companies like wipro,tcs, Infosys,Berger,Haldia petrochemical, nestle,Adani and many core companies use to visit our college. This year highest package was 20 lakh grabbed by a cse student and avg package 4-5 lakh.
