If you haven’t appeared for JEE Main or CET but want a good engineering college in Pune, private universities are your best option. Top choices include MIT-WPU , which offers direct admission or conducts its own entrance exam, and Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT) , which accepts SET scores or 12th marks. DY Patil College of Engineering and Bharati Vidyapeeth also offer admissions through management quota or their own entrance exams like BVP CET. These colleges have good infrastructure, industry exposure, and decent placements. You should apply early, as direct admission seats fill quickly. Also, keep your 12th board results and documents ready.

No, you cannot get admission to B.Sc Nursing through the MHT-CET exam. B.Sc Nursing admissions in Maharashtra are done through the NEET UG exam. So, if you want to pursue B.Sc Nursing in government or private colleges, you must appear for NEET UG. MHT-CET is used for engineering, pharmacy, and agriculture courses, not nursing. Make sure to check the official notifications and eligibility criteria before applying for any exam. Focus on NEET preparation for B.Sc Nursing admission.

Hi aspirant,

It is possible to select only one option in the MBA CET CAP rounds, however numerous choices are strongly encouraged.
The system will try to assign you to the highest recommended college among your options if you make the cutoff and a space is available.

As a result, while the system only allows you to select one option, it drastically diminishes your odds of getting into the college of your choice. Filling many genuine preferences is a far more secure and strategic strategy.

Before selecting a single option, carefully analyze your options and the potential implications.  For the latest up-to-date guidelines, consult the official CAP round rules and information pamphlet.

All the best!

Hi aspirant,

It is challenging to strive for the MHT CET in just 5 days, especially if you have not had continuous preparation. However, with a concentrated and smart approach, you can still make the most of the available time to boost your chances. Understand the exam pattern and syllabus, prioritize high-weightage topics, solve previous year question papers (PYQs) strategically, Take a few mock tests, and manage your time properly while studying.

All the best!

Hello,

Only PYQs (previous year questions) are helpful, but not enough to fully crack MHT CET.

You should also focus on:

  • Understanding concepts from NCERT (Class 11 & 12)

  • Solving mock tests regularly

  • Practicing topic-wise MCQs

  • Time management and speed practice

So, PYQs are important , but you need to study and practice more than just that to score well.

Hope it helps !

Hello,

No, there won’t be any problem. Since you have written only PCM in the KCET exam , your PCMB application will not affect your rank for engineering. Your rank will be given based on your PCM marks only.

You don’t need to worry. During the counselling process, only your PCM scores will be considered for engineering courses.

So, nothing to correct now. Just wait for the results and go ahead with the counselling.

Hope it helps !

Hii,

Here are some reputed BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) colleges in India that typically don’t require state-level CET (like MHT-CET or KCET) for admission, relying instead on Class 12 merit or institutional tests. Always confirm with the college for 2025 admission criteria.

To estimate your KCET rank , we use the weightage formula:

  • KCET score contributes 60%

  • Board (PUC) PCM marks contribute 40%

Your Scores:

  • Board PCM % : 93% of 300 = 279 marks

  • KCET score : 60 out of 180

Normalized Score Calculation:

Normalized Score=(60%×KCETscore)+(40%×PCMmarks)

=(0.6×60)+(0.4×279)=36+111.6=147.6

Estimated Rank:

Based on 2023 trends:

  • A normalized score around 147.6 generally corresponds to a KCET rank between 30,000 and 40,000 .

This is just an estimate. Actual ranks can vary based on:

  • Overall student performance

  • Difficulty level of the exam

  • Category/reservation

  • Tie-breaking policies

For most CET exams, you don't need to complete the admission process before the exam. You first need to take the exam and wait for the results. After the results are declared, colleges will release their cutoff ranks, and based on your exam score and rank, you can apply to specific colleges through counseling. The admission process typically involves document verification and seat allocation. So, admissions are based on your exam results, not before. Keep an eye on official notifications for specific dates.
