Academics
The faculty members at IIM Amritsar are exceptional. They are experts in their fields, highly experienced, and very supportive. Many hold PhDs from leading IIMs, IITs, and foreign universities. They bring valuable industry experience into the classroom. They guide us academically and also assist with case competitions, internships, placements, and personal growth.
College Infra
The infrastructure at IIM Amritsar is modern and well-kept. The institute offers high-speed Wi-Fi throughout academic blocks and hostels, which is very useful for case studies, projects, and online research. The computer labs and analytics labs have updated software and tools used in MBA programs.
Placements
Nearly 100% of students land roles in prestigious companies. The highest salary package this year exceeded ₹28 to 32 LPA, while the lowest packages were still impressive at around ₹10 to 12 LPA. Many top recruiters come to the campus every year, including Deloitte India Consulting, EY GDS, KPMG Global Services, HCL Tech Business Solutions, Marico, Asian Paints, Aditya Birla Capital, and Tata Consumer Products.

Academics
Each of the MBA courses are designed very well with many evaluating components for overall development of a student. Faculty here is very good and helpful and make you push your boundaries. Academic rigor high.
College Infra
As the permanent campus is still work in progress many of the facilities like sports and gym are not provided yet. Otherwise the campus is good. Mess food is also good. There is cafe in the vollege too.

Many activities many events many new experiences
Placements
As a tier 3 college placement are not so good. Many big companies dont come here as it is not so old and big institute. Most of the companies are for finance and sales role. So students get a very little option to choose a company.
Value For Money
It charges a very high fee. IIM Lucknow and IIM Amritsar fees are almost equal

Academics
Faculties are highly trained and some guest faculties come from IIM kashipur other main IIMs. Subjects which were taught during entire year are perfectly aligned with industry norm and they give in depth knowledge of the dynamic work environment.
College Infra
Overall infrastructure structure is good, but there is no gym, no playing area except a TT table in mess, sports complex is still under construction. Classes are big and fully furnished. Hostel rooms are small but fully furnished along with AC.
Placements
Overall placements are good. Average is 13 to 15 lakhs and lowest is 9 lakhs. Some students opt out from placements still lot of new companies come every year and placements totally depends upon your skill.

The CAT test is the initial requirement for admission to the IIMs. The Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview are the following phases (PI). The WAT and PI are the primary selection factors for admission to IIM MBA. They take place following the release of the CAT results.

K J Somaiya Institute of Management for MBA or IIM Amritsar for MBA

Hope you are doing well !
Keeping in mind, both K J Somaiya Institute of Management, and IIM Amritsar both are really good colleges, in my opinion, IIM Amritsar would be the better option.
Though K J Somaiya's Highest package(26.5 LPA) is more than IIM Amritsar's(25.21 LPA). IIM

Based in CAT 2019, IIM Shillong and IIM Amritsar has released the cutoff list for admission into academic year 2020-22.
IIM AMRITSAR has 85 percentile as cut off for general category along with sectional cut offs. Furthermore, unlike other IIMs, IIM Shillong does not release the overall cutoff
