SCMS Pune Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has hostel With a total capacity of 118 students, there are two boys hostel wings. The boys' hostels are within a walkable distance to the campus.

The college has four girls hostel wings with a total capacity of 1417 students. The hostel wings for girls are within walking distance or easy commuting distance to the campus.

The College has Health Care Centre exclusive to the staff and students of the various institutes

The college Library is well equipped with a rich collection of books, journals, magazines and Audio Visual resources. In addition to the institutionally subscribed resources, the library users have also access to the resources of the Central library.

The College facilities and infrastructure include a football field on the campus, as well as a basketball court and a volleyball court is there in the college. Many inter-class and inter-college tournaments have been held on these grounds, and practise matches are held regularly.

The college has well-equipped IT infrastructure facilities for its students.

The College Students will get food in the cafeteria, and the cafeteria has convenient seating and a spacious atmosphere. The cook in the cafeteria serves students a wide variety of cuisines. In the basement of the college, there is a stationery store that sells a variety of goods and items. For SCMS Pune students, it proves to be a highly effective and time-saving facility.

The College facilities and infrastructure includes an auditorium. The auditorium can accommodate up to 600 people at a time and is well-equipped with sound systems, lighting, and all of the requisite backstage equipment. The acoustics effectively highlight the various programmes held in the auditorium, which has evolved into a hub for various student activities.

The College Alumni Cell has always striven to achieve its vision of being a close-knit and sought after alumni network by connecting, informing, and engaging the Alumni, the students and the Institute with each other. The cell is responsible for seeking suggestions and feedback from the former students for improvement which ultimately further strengthen the Institute capabilities.

The College Wi-Fi facility is available on the campus provides access to internet connectivity to students.

The college facilities and infrastructure include a computer lab on the campus. The computer lab at the Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies is equipped with state-of-the-art machines and informed technical support so that students can conduct active research and have constant access to information to aid learning and development. The computer lab assists students in gaining a better understanding of classroom instruction as well as identifying their areas of interest. The lab runs smoothly because of the Wi-Fi activated campus.

The college has gym facilities for the students on campus. The gym is completely functional and equipped with all required equipment as well as trained instructors. Students can learn and maintain their fitness from instructors who are skilled in yoga, aerobics, and a variety of other exercises.

The college has guest Room for visiting faculty and student family members, the college has a guest house/waiting room.

Student Clubs The Academy

TThe Academy is the literary and film appreciation club of SCMS. It was initiated in 2013. Since then, it has aimed at organizing events that encourage students’ interest in media.

Activities undertaken by the Academy include quizzes and a newsletter. Last year, The Academy’s flagship event was the Game Show, which was a pyramid-based event with 3 rounds, a scavenger hunt, charades and a TV and movie quiz. It also conducted Hum Quiz De Chuke Sanam, which was an online quiz. This year the Academy aims at creating a regularly updated book and movie review blog and a monthly newsletter related to college events, alongside stand-alone events.

Drammebaaz

Drammebaaz is SCMS's drama club. It was established in 2010.
Every year, Drammebaaz's journey begins in the month of July when the induction for the freshers is carried out and there is no looking back from there. Core committee proposals, acting crew auditions completely take over the minds of all the drama enthusiasts in college. Last year, Drammebaaz introduced the "Natak Company" which included all performers and actors who shared a common interest - The Stage. Drammebaaz also conducted BAD ADss, where contestants had to participate in groups of three, marketing a location around campus and a Sympulse department.
