IIIT Dharwad Facilities

An institute that has all the infrastructural build-up and facilities, is always deemed to be the best one by the students. IIIT Dharwad is a premium national college where students from all across the country arrive to study for graduate and doctoral programs.

The campus of IIIT Dharwad has all the facilities for the students who will arrive to study there and also those students who will stay on the campus. IIIT Dharwad facilities include spacious classrooms, halls, auditoriums, cultural complexes, and hostels for both boys and girls. Indian Institute of Information Technology, Dharwad facilities provides a large campus that will house almost all the facilities that the students should have while they are spending their graduation years.

Boys Hostel
Indian Institute of Information Technology Dharwad (IIIT-DWD) is a residential Institute. All students preferably have to stay in the hostel accommodation provided by the Institute. It helps to create a community environment and this promotes a group education culture. IIIT-DWD offers separate hostels for Boys. Located at Vidya Nagar, in the heart of Hubli city, near to IIIT Dharwad transit campus and well connected to transit campus by public transport service. Hostels are equipped with 24×7 safety measures, along with other facilities such as the internet, Mess, CCTV etc. Hostels are well maintained and kept neat and tidy by dedicated housekeeping service. The hostel's rooms are comfortable, offer the home-like environment and provided with all basic amenities for day to day use. Current hostel rooms are provided on twin/ triplet-sharing basis allocated on the basis of first come first serve basis.Hostel Fees: Rs. 45000/- for the 1st Semester (includes Rs. 5000/- caution deposit)
Girls Hostel

Medical/Hospital
There is a medical complex on the campus too so that students will not have to go out to get medical attention. There is also a pharmacy on the campus for buying medicines and first aid.
Library
The Indian Institute Of Information Technology, Dharwad campus has one of the biggest online and offline campus libraries. The library has 2500 offline and digital books on various subjects. Also, there are journals, magazines, newspapers, and digital media DVDs and CDs for student's academic purposes.
Sports
The campus has a large and open sports complex. The sports complex has a football ground, basketball court, volleyball court, etc. not, only that there is a separate place for indoor sports and games as well.

Auditorium
The campus of IIIT Dharwad also has a plethora of auditoriums and halls for cultural and educational seminars and webinars. There is a large auditorium which will be used for events and programs. Also, there are separate seminar halls and lecture halls with large seating capacity.
Wifi
IIIT-Dharwad maintains the campus network backbone connectivity and internet connections on 24×7 basis. The IT Park has wired connectivity and also Wi-Fi Routers have been installed for benefit of students and faculty with a bandwidth of 5.5Mbps (1:1) to start with.
Laboratories
Being a premier technology institute of India, the college has various laboratories that are equipped with the best of the technologies and equipment. Some of the major labs on the campus are; physics lab, electronics lab, computer lab, analog and digital lab, processional communication lab, microcontroller lab, microprocessor lab, networking lab, etc.

College Infrastructure

This beautiful college of Karnataka of IIIT dharwad has a really nice infrastructure. The college is well equipped with all amenities like gym, Library, hostels,canteens and cafeteria. Its a beautiful campus with all facilities.

Overall it was a good learning experience.

IIIT Dharwad's beautiful campus spans 60 acres at Tadasinakoppa near Dharwad. It features modern academic blocks, labs, a library, hostels, sports facilities, a cafeteria and green spaces fostering holistic learning.

College Infrastructure

Currently the institute runs in its temporary campus in IT park, Hubli. It is a bit congested there. But the institute will move to its permanent campus on September 2020. Our permanent campus is well equipped with all the modern facilities.

Selecting the top institute between IIIT Bhagalpur, IIIT Agartala, IIIT Dharwad, IIIT Kalyani, IIITV-ICD, IIIT Senapati, BIT Patna, and NIT Arunachal Pradesh for CSE is based on a variety of factors

Placement Trends:

Among the options provided here, IIIT Dharwad and IIIT Kalyani generally have the strongest placement records, although some students got decent placements through product-based and service companies.
BIT Patna and NIT Arunachal Pradesh do well in terms of placements through "service" sector companies, leaking out a small amount of placements.
IIITV-ICD (the newer campus of IIIT Vadodara) is evolving, but growing.
IIIT Agartala, IIIT Bhagalpur, and IIIT Senapati - being younger still, might have some sparse placement history at this point.

Alumni Network :

Older institutions like BIT Patna and NIT Arunachal Pradesh have a more robust alumni network and culture.
IIIT Dharwad and IIIT Kalyani are rapidly developing an alumni culture.
Younger IIITs have some distance to travel in terms of having a strong alumni presence when it comes to alumni presence.

Exposure & Opportunities :

IIITs focus more on coding culture and tech events, which is a blessing for CSE students.
IIIT Dharwad and Kalyani have been participating in coding competitions, hackathons, and tech partnerships.
Location also makes a difference — being close to tech hotspots such as Bangalore (Dharwad) or Kolkata (Kalyani) can provide more visibility.

Faculty:

The quality of the faculty is inconsistent for all except IIIT Kalyani and Dharwad have improved ratios of older PhDs as well as research-productive faculty.
IIIT Dharwad and IIIT Kalyani have relatively better hostels also. Unlike other IIITs they have even better food quality.

Food and Hostel Facilities:

It has been suggested in the feedback that IIIT Dharwad and IIIT Kalyani have relatively better hostels as well as quality of food.
BIT Patna also has decent facilities, but NIT Arunachal and IIITs of NE region may have limited option based on their location.

Conclusion:

If placements and coding culture are your top priority, opt for IIIT Dharwad or IIIT Kalyani.
If degree brand and alumni network matter the most to you, BIT Patna or NIT Arunachal could be better.
For those willing to bet on improving campuses, IIIT Bhagalpur or IIITV-ICD could offer fast-growing opportunities with time.
