Yes, the GATE 2026 results were released on March 19, 2026. The GATE 2026 result includes scores out of 1000, marks out of 100, All India Rank (AIR), and category-wise qualifying marks. The institute offers BTech admissions through the JEE Main entrance exam, followed by JoSAA counselling. The admission procedure for B.Tech. is given below.

• Candidates must first fill out the admission form provided by the institute and submit it within the given deadline.

• Candidates must be eligible for admission to the M.Tech programme at IIIT Trichy and must show up and pass the GATE test.

• Candidates must next apply and show up for the CCMT counselling. 

• The candidate must next fill out a preference course form and choose IIIT Trichy as their chosen college throughout the counselling process.

• The candidates' seats will next be assigned based on how well they performed on the admission exam. A merit list will be created for applicants who have not taken the GATE exam based on their Academic Progress Record (APR).

• The shortlisted candidates will then be contacted for an interview, and seats will then be assigned based on their personal interviews and academic progress records.
