Stage 1: IIIT Dharwad Placement Cell approaches various companies to find placement opportunities. The faculty and coordinator talk to the companies and their recruitment departments and invite them to the placement drive.

Stage 2: Those companies that accept the invitation discuss their job description and their requirements with the career guidance cell. They also fix the placement drive date and time.

Stage 3: The students are notified of the details of the upcoming placement drive. They are provided with a student recruitment form on the college portal. The students will have to register their name and their details with the CGC.

Stage 4: The company will arrive at the college on the notified date and time and will hold a pre-placement talk with the students. Then the entire process of test and interview will take place.

Stage 5: On the very same day, the company will announce the names of the selected students. In case of not announcing the name on the same day, the students will be allowed to appear in other placements. However, if the name of a student is selected for a position, then they will not be allowed to appear in any other placement.

Stage 6: The offer letter should be provided to the career guidance cell by the company to be given to the students. The companies are not allowed to give the offer letter directly to the candidate.
