Great and pleasant place for a good learning experience

    College Infrastructure

The college is great. The classes are amazing. There are ample numbers of labs that are always open for people to come in and practice coding. The hostels are decent enough but the toilets are bad. The food is bland most of the time and sometimes there have been cases of insects in food

    Academics

I was studying b tech information technology. The teaching is okay. Most of the professors are highly knowledgeable and a few of them even genuinely care about your learning experience. The curriculum is relatively up to date. And the study is Okay but learning some skills along the way will help you get job ready

    Placements

The college has an amazing record for placements. Unless you massively screw up your interview or have an extremely bad academic record you are almost guaranteed to be placed with a company. From What I've heard the average salary is offered was 15-16Lpa

    Value for Money

The college is great value for money when compared to private colleges. The curriculum is more rigourous and the resources given are a lot more useful than other colleges. The course costs around 50 thousand rupees per semester

    Campus Life

The campus is not very big, but is very very pretty. The campus is peaceful on most days and the trees make it a great place to stroll on an evening. When I stayed there the location of the campus was shady but it felt safe with security guards always around

Have a question related to IIIT Allahabad ?

Which college is better for m.tech.dtu or iiit allahabad

Though IIIT-A leads in placements, infrastructure and education quality; DTU has a better campus life and a better location as well. We can’t deny that fact.

    • If you are interested in programming or want to excel in the field of Information Technology, Join IIIT-A
    • If you are looking for placements, go for either one. On a balanced side, I’d recommend you IIIT-A due to lesser competition.
    • If you are looking for indulging campus life and a better location, go for DTU.

    Hello there,
IIIT Allahabad (IIIT A) offers an MBA program with a focus on IT and management, making it a good choice for those interested in the intersection of technology and business. The institute is well-regarded for its technical programs, and the MBA program benefits from its strong industry connections and academic reputation.

However, placements for the MBA program may not be as strong as those for its engineering courses. The average package in recent years has been around 5-6 LPA, with higher packages for top performers. Companies in IT, consulting, and management often participate in the placements, but the number of core management companies might be fewer compared to traditional business schools.

If you are looking for an MBA with a strong focus on IT management and are comfortable with these placement statistics, IIIT A can be a good option. Otherwise, exploring other institutes with a broader range of placement opportunities may

    Hope it helps. Good luck!
