College infrastructure is very good. It's consists of separate academic building and separate boys and girls hostel with a library and fully equipped advanced laboratory of computer science department and electronics and communications engineering department both.

Academics are very good. The faculty and HODs as well as the Director is very generous and helpful in terms of academics and also very supportive regarding making projects and participating hackathon and many academic things.

Placement stats of IIIT RANCHI is also very fantastic and eye-catching as per also mentioned on the websites in training and placement cell( TAP) section on the website. Overall placement includes higher average package as compared to all the newer IIITs.

It's very worth in terms of money also . Here one semester fee is much less than as compared to other IIITs that are running on PPP model. You can also get scholarship here via NSP and many others private scholarship as coordinated by college officials.

Campus life is also very awesome as you can celebrate multiple fest including sports fest , tech fest , cultural fest and the most important Celestio ( College annual fest. Thus campus life is very cool and enjoyable.

In terms of academics, money value, campus life , and many others aspects, the college Indian Institute of Information Technology, Ranchi is literally a boon for a student who is somehow lacked during their JEE journey and can't get to their dream colleges....but I can assure you, when you once visit the college and understand all the functionality, you will realise that this college can be also your dream college. So at last I would like to say.... don't hesitate to consider this college.

The infrastructure is average at the moment. The permanent campus is still not built, and hostel facilities need improvement. Medical facilities are also a concern, so there is definitely room for improvement in basic facilities.

Academics are decent, and the best part is that professors are approachable and very helpful. They are generally willing to clear students' doubts. Overall, the academic experience is good, though it can vary by subject.

There is scope for improvement in on-campus placement opportunities. Students should also focus on building their skills and exploring off-campus opportunities. Since I am in my first year, I cannot comment on actual placement outcomes from personal experience.

ROI is good because of off campus placement but campus infra and hostel life is not good

Campus life is average so far. Hostel life and the mess experience could be better, and the lack of a permanent campus affects the overall college experience. There is still potential for improvement

The college currently operates from a temporary BSNL campus, with hostels at BSNL Quarters and Khelgaon, 6 km apart. Classes feel more like school than college. Labs need improvement, washing machines are unavailable, the Khelgaon lift feels unsafe, sports facilities are lacking, and Wi-Fi can be slow. Hoping the permanent campus opens soon.

Academics are one of my favourite parts of the college. The professors are chill, supportive, and encourage students to focus on coding and improving their skills. Maintaining a good CGPA is also relatively easy, and students generally don't feel much academic pressure, giving them enough time to explore other interests.

On-campus placements are honestly quite disappointing. However, many students here have the skills to secure good packages off campus. The supportive professors and lenient academics give students enough time to focus on coding, build projects, and prepare for off-campus opportunities without too much academic pressure.

This college can be value for money for students who are genuinely interested in coding and want a decent placement. The peer group is full of tech enthusiasts, which helps you stay motivated and improve your skills. If you couldn't get a great JEE rank but still want to become a good software engineer, this college can be a decent choice. However, if you prioritise campus life, infrastructure, and the overall college experience, you should consider other options too.

Campus life is honestly disappointing, with no major fests or auditorium. The 6 km distance between BSNL and Khelgaon hostels also makes it difficult for first-year students to connect with the rest of the college. However, tech clubs organise some cool tech fests, and the college supports these initiatives, which is a positive side.

IIIT Ranchi has great potential, but we need a permanent campus ASAP. Students and faculty are its real gems, yet poor infrastructure and weak placement support hold it back. Better management, proper facilities, and an improved placement cell could help it reach the level of IIIT Nagpur and Surat.

The permanent campus is still under construction. It works from a temporary campus in Bsnl and the hostel accommodation is in khelgaon. In Bsnl there is one academic building where all the classes are conducted and all the labs are there itself.As it's a temporary campus ,not much developed infrastructure is expected . Basic classrooms with projectors .That's all ,not even an auditorium.no such sports facilities,no playground.Library is not big enough conjusted...I would say. Labs are okay. And Hostels it's like an apartment type ..so it's ok overall. Yah the living spaces are cleaned at regular intervals but about food it wasn't good enough maybe because of the recent protest changes are expected.

I am studying Computer science and engineering here .The faculty strength is quite less or is less than expected in such institutions.Their teaching is okay. Ultimately u have to study so it depends on u how much seriously u take it.

Placement details are available in the website, one can refer the details from there . U have to apply for internship on your own in 3 rd year..Off campus and on campus combined data is there in the website...sp don't confuse that it's only on campus data... don't be fooled.

Fee approx 192000 per semester. So in total approx u can take 16 lakh. If u are getting scholarship then it's good.. otherwise spending such high amount in this college is not worth it if you are doing at your own expense.

Again no permanent campus, no experience... Bsnl campus is ok ok...greenery around...and despite the lack of so much facilities, students do enjoy fests are conducted...sports cultural tech ... everything...

The permanent campus had not been built yet but it is in in process and there are two hostels one in khelgaon and other in bsnl. The college have lack of medical equipments, the wifi is also not strong and no ac in class rooms but in faculty rooms and labs. the food is worst i paid for hostel but i eat mainly outside and the condition of the kitchen is also worst i saw some insects there.

I am currently pursuing btech in iiit ranchi and my branch is computer science and the quality of education is good but it could have lack of some specific labs like for robotics and which could be improved. It conducts many games and it could also resist some sports facilities.

The placements are good but the highest packages are mostly off campus. Many companies visits the campus for placement so it depends on the skills you develops by yourself and i think throughout all the tine you have to do everything yourself.

The conditions, infrastructure and other faclities according to fees are not good. we pays around 2 lakh per semester and i think it is absolutely not Worthy of it. It is very high fees. and i already explained this in the infrastructure and mess and academic section.

The academic infrastructure is decent. The classrooms have projectors, the computers labs have working systems with good internet connectivity. The library is equipped with books, though adding more copies with be helpful for students. Coming to hostels, the rooms are of triple occupancy, the rooms are decent and cleaned almost regularly, though washroom maintenance can be a topic to work on. Wifi speed disappoints very much sometimes. The mess food is average, it gets repetitive and sometimes and hygiene is the region needs to be worked on. sports facilities are somewhat very limited, but there is enough open ground for casual games or running.

I am pursuing Computer science and engineering here, the curriculum here is good, it cuts out unnecessary subjects like chemistry, engineering drawing and gets straight to core CS topics from 1st semester, the faculties here are highly qualified. the curriculum is also well updated. but like any tech institutes you have to put in your own hours on coding and projects. Overall it builds solid base for students to make them future ready.

Placements are decent here, especially considering its a newer iiit. The placement percentage is also good, around 80 to 86 percent generally gets placed. The average package is generally hovers around 12- 15 LPA, good product and service companies do visit, but getting a top tier is really difficult. and relying only on on-campus placements can be a little foolish.

the annual fees comes out to around 4 lakhs(3.9 lakhs), including hostel and mess, which is typical for a PPP model IIIT. somewhat i fell neutral right now about I am getting my money's worth.

campus life is not best here, since we dont have our permanent campus till now, students are separated in two hostels which are quite far away from each others. the institute is located in a quite area. Teachers and staffs are very helpful,

First of all college is currently running from temporary campuses at BSNL and Khelgaon Society, but the basic facilities are sufficient for our academic needs. Labs are available for practical learning,and the central library provides a good study environment.The mess facility is also quite good as compare to others

The academics at our college are quite good,with a modern curriculum and knowledgeable faculty members, mostly from IIT backgrounds.The courses help students to build strong technical fundamentals and gain a better understanding of their subjects. Overall good experience of me

The placement opportunities at our college are improving every year. The Training and Placement Cell is working well and product-based companies are also visiting for on-campus recruitment. Recent high-package offers and good ROI make the college promising for career growth. So most get placed

Since the permanenet campus is not ready yet infrastructure is mid as of now But will be good when the permanenet campus will be ready It does have most of facilities you need in a college like playgrounds libraries wifi etc. Living space is cleaned everyday There is a tiny bit problem with food Not all the food dishes are good but i guess its story of every college

Teachers are well connected with students and help them to pursue their career. They are very supportive too since the number of students are less teachers knows many students one on one which is good for the academics

Placements are best thing of this college. The average package of this college is around 12-13 LPA. A member of 2025-26 batch recently secured a placement of 1.25Cr package which is heighst package of this college yet.

The fees of this college is always a point to discuss. For 4 years the approx fees you have to pay for this college is 16 lakhs which is slightly at the costlier side for many people So the ROI is pretty average.

There is jot much campus life in this college if you are joining a college to have some extra fun then i would not recommend this college. There are many activites for students to engage in but not at a big scale as you see in many colleges.

It's been 10 years since establishment but college don't have a permanent campus. Academics building is shared with BSNL. Hostels are in BSNL Campus and National Khelgaon Housing Society . Rooms are spacious in BSNL and surrounded by good environment.

College don't have a permanent campus so this affects academics to an extent like library facility is poor. Classes are often cancelled and I don't like this personally. Faculties are approachable and humble. There are also some allegations about discrepancy in hiring of faculties.

On campus placement record is very poor.Fabricated data is available on websites like google regarding placements according to students of this college. Good companies don't approach this college, a region behind this is not having permanent campus.

Fees is nearly 16 lakhs,or say 4 lakhs per year but facilities are not provided according to fees. It's the biggest drawback .

Campus life is very poor.I never felt like I am in an 'institute of national importance '. State Government Colleges have much better campus life than this college.

All the aspiring JEE aspirants who are preparing for JEE, please study hard and secure IIT's or top tier NIT's . Don't even think about IIIT RANCHI, otherwise you will suffer. Don't choose and don't let anyone choose this college.

The college lacks a permanent campus accommodations have been made i the temporary Bsnl campus and the khelgaon sporting complex . The overall infrastructure could be better no library as such the institute does offer facilities to issue books but a formal library is still lagging . Apart from that the distance between the academic building and khelgaon sporting complex is more that 3 km ...we do have WiFi , smart boards they are ok . The living space is clean maintainance could be better .

I am studying ECE(ES and Iot) Btech 1st year . The quality of teaching is moderate. The curriculum is more oriented towards better cgpa but the placements preparation is almost of no use through that curriculum

The quality of placements is very good . The peer group is academically oriented The seniors are helpful and caring . The important part is mostly are placements are from tech no core Ece placements whoch might be slight concerning.

People are good and helpful faculties were kind and really helpful The overall care for student from faculty and non teaching staff was really good even though things were lagging however non academic work is often really flexible designed for the students well being

Peaceful environment nice air fields and courts for sporting activities in Bsnl . Deliveries come on time overall no problem as such on this part . Daily life is really energetic in the hostel and it is a good boon to have
