Classrooms are nice overall. Hostels are available for both boys and girls but are less in number. Labs have all the major essential equipments and reagents. Labs are a little small in size. There is one library in institute. Sports centre has been recently established. 24/7 WiFi is available at college and hostels as well.

Faculties teach well but give a lot of attention to class attendance. I am in biotechnology department of NIT Raipur. Teachers particularly emphasize on the academics of the students. Students are made to visit industries related to the field of study.

Highest placement offere at the college was 32 LPA to the students of IT/CSE department. Average placement in biotechnology department goes 5-6 LPA. 50-60% of total students get placed during the placement drives.

College campus is spread across over an area of 100 acres. Classrooms are highly spacious with projectors installed. Labs have all the essential equipments for practical work. There is one large library namely Central Library with a reading room. WiFi is available in the campus. There is a canteen and snacks store at the campus. Hostels are for both boys and girls.

Majority of teachers do not display strict demeanor. They are supportive of the students in their choices. Teaching quality remains good as long as the person wants to absorb what is being taught. Course curriculum seems relevant. Students are encouraged and pushed to do industrial training for exposure.

Placements have been increasing compared to previous years. Nearly 70% of the registered candidates are able to bag the placement offers. Highest placement offer occurred to students of IT/CSE of 32 LPA. Training & Placement Cell looks into the placement scenario.

Smart boards are new addition to the classrooms besides projectors. Sports centre is established at the campus which is small by the way. Labs have modern equipments but have the issue of space congestion. Hostels are for girls as well as boys with high speed WiFi. New canteen has been erected in place of old one.

Teachers are highly qualified and seem experienced. They put a lot of emphasis on theoretical assignments and notes. Course curriculum seems relevant right now. There are two class tests and an end semester exam in a semester.

No core companies visit the campus for biotechnology stream. All the candidates placed get package offers by non-core companies of IT. Average salary offered in Biotech was 5-6 LPA while the highest was 11 LPA.

Institute's infrastructure is good but not the best. Classrooms are equipped with smart boards along with facility of projectors. There is single library at the institute namely Central Library. Labs are relatively small in size but has almost all required reagents and apparatus. Both boys and girls are built away from each other. 24/7 WiFi is available at college as well as hostels. Canteen has been renovated recently into a more fancy one.

All the faculties are PhDs in their respective fields. They teach descriptively, going extra miles to make the students have improved knowledge focusing the subject. All of them have numerous research papers/journals published in their name.

Quality of placements is improving at least better than the previous years' records. But the flaw is that no core companies or industry visit the campus. Students get the placements in through the IT companies.

Fee is affordable at the institute for all the economic groups. Fee remission provision is present to exempt the fee of students with low income certificates.

Sports facilities are made available for every student. Students are also encouraged to participate in inter-NIT competitions.

Yes, my college has all necessary facilities for students. Our classrooms, labs, libraries all are well maintained and I'm very glad that I'm in this college. Along with all these facilities my college is very much concerned about cleanliness and food hygiene.

I'm doing Btech as I want to rule the corporate world. Our professors are highly skilled in their fields and our curriculum is well updated. We enjoy studying different subjects with practical knowledge.

Well reputed and top companies come for campus placement with high packages in my college. Top companies come here and we really have an amazing experience with them and also we learn lot many new things.

Institute infrastructure is sober. Classrooms are good with space and projectors attached. Library is a huge house of textbooks accommodating materials of every department at the institute. High speed WiFi is available 24/7 in the campus as well as hostels. Both boys and girls hostels are established in the institute, though the number of them is short. Canteen and snacks store is built for the students and faculties alike.

Teaching quality is on par with most of the best NITs. It is the diligence of students that works wonders along with the guidance of faculties if you want to perform extraordinary. Course curriculum seems relevant to me although not so much of practical knowledge imparted.

More than 70% of the total enrolled students get placement offer during the on-campus placement drives. Companies and visiting the campus are Samsung, Wipro, Vedanta, Texas Steel, Mahindra etc. Average package offered goes around 6-7 LPA.

All the teachers have a doctorate degree in their expertise. Most of them allow the students to interact with faculty during the class. There are two class tests and an end-semester examination in each semester.

B.Tech. course in any of the department costs around 5.59 Lacs. Fee relaxation is also available for financilly backward students.

Quality of teaching varies from faculty to faculty. But every one of them are diligent in teaching the students about the subject. Course curriculum does not review changes but still has the relevance.

Placements have been going good in the department. However, core companies are still not visiting the campus for recruitment. All the students placed, are with knowledge of programming and hence IT companies recruit them.

Course fee is relatively low in the institute. Course fee is 5.52 Lacs for the B.Tech. course. Institute offers both the facility and its name to the students. NITs has its own reputation in the country in the engineering industry.

Central Computer Centre (CCC) is the pride of the institute. Hostels are not capable of accommodating all the students and hence most of them reside outside the campus privately. Clubs and committees are so many in the institute.

Infrastructure is plain average. Classroom is big with projectors installed. Labs have both new and old machines and circuitry. Library has a reading room for students to study. Hostels are scarce as compared to number of students. WiFi connectivity spans all over the campus. Canteen is renovated. Store in the campus for daily requirements and basic stationery. Separate football and cricket grounds along with basketball and badminton courts.

I am in the Electrical department of the college. In the first year, all the teachers used to focus on theoretical teaching i.e. doing a lot of writing work. New curriculum has been introduced in 2019. Students go on to participate in mass bunks occasionally. Sometimes teachers are unable to complete the syllabus in time and hence students have to prepare the left ones by themselves.

Recent placement was better than previous years. Highest package offered in EE was 14 LPA. Average package was found to be near 6 LPA. Nearly every student get the placement opportunity in IT, Software, Business Analyst etc. Core companies offer jobs to few candidates.

I got a facilitation of fee concession due to my family's income. Total fee that need to be covered in 4 years of the B.Tech. engineering course is 5.52 Lacs. Students with poor financial background get a concession in fees by providing the income certificate of the annual family income. Scholarships are also available for students of backward castes.

Societies are established at NIT Raipur responsible for different aspects of college life. NSS, Sahyog ( The Mentorship Club) help the students in need of academic difficulties. NCC is also a part of the college. Students of all courses and batches are encouraged to participate in sports. Different sports teams participate in Inter-NIT sports championship. Annual fests are organized all year of the clubs and committees.

Institute comprises administrative building dedicated to engineering courses. Classrooms have good space with well maintained seating facility. There are two grounds for football and cricket along with basketball and badminton courts. Separate hostels are available for boys and girls. WiFi is provided 24/7 at college as well as hostel. There is a canteen and a regular utility store in the campus. Central library houses all kinds of books pertaining to engineering courses.

Faculties are experienced with their respective subjects and have been teaching for a long time. Particularly for my department, some of the faculties may not be able to make the subjects interesting but still put their heart in teaching the students. Curriculum is updated according to the recent industry requirements.

Placement drive in the department is not one of the best in the college. Highest package offered in the college is 32 lakhs to the CSE department. Average salary offered in Biomedical course is 4-5 lakhs. Training and Placement Office assists students in landing the on-campus placements and internships outside.

Fee in the course costs 5.52 lacs for students whose annual family income is greater than 5 lacs. Students with annual family income less than 5 lacs and greater than 1 lac get remission of 2/3rd of the tuition fee. Students whose annual family income is less than 1 lac get full remission of the tuition fee.

NIT Raipur hosts a number of events and fests all year round. Eclektica, the annual cultural fest, Aavartan, the annual technical fest, Samar, annual sports fest etc. Seminars and workshops are organized for the welfare of students. Students can engage their skills in different clubs and committees such as Robotics club, Sanskriti ( Cultural committee), Technocracy (Technical Committee), Shaurya ( Sports Committee) and more.
