NIT Nagaland Reviews on Infrastructure, Campus, Placement, Facilities & Faculty

NIT Nagaland is a new collage started in 2010 and shifted to its campus in 2012. So naturally the infrastructure is not that good as most of the buildings are under construction. Labs are moderately equipped . Campus and hostels have proper security, although it may feels like cadge as the curfew time for the campus is 7PM ( no curfew time for boys hostel). Talking about cleanliness I would not say it is bad but it could be better.

Here I am pursuing Computer Science and engineering cus I am really interested in computers and its working. Faculties here are really helpful and well qualified with enough of knowledge to share . Curriculum is also well designed and updated but the catch is we get very less number of classes for each subject , so it is practically not possible to touch every subtopic , so you will have to work yourself if you want perfection in any field.

Placements of NIT Nagaland is very much dynamic . Although average package of this collage is arround 8-9 Lpa , the highest package is seen to be have large varience , from 14.95 LPA in 2024 to 53 LPA in 2026. All the known companies do visit our collage for placements. If you are dedicated enough you can easily get a 10 LPA job from here [ Not sure after GPT 6 astra :( ]

If you are from SC / ST or from a lower income category (less than 1 lack per annum) , you will get 100% tution fee waviour , then you will have to pay a total of 3.56 lack including hostel with is very less as compared to normal collages . Even if you lie in 1to 5 lack category still you will have to pay 1.68 lack more than previous one , so will also get really good ROI , but for person having more than 5 LPA income will have to pay full fee of nearly 10 Lack which in my view is very much considering NIT Nagaland.

This is the place where I would say our collage lack so much . It does have lots of events but it doesn't have a proper auditorium to host it .it does organise sports meet thrice a year but it doesn't have good ground for that . Although festivals are celebrated in really good fashion here . Overall I will say campus life is ok ok .

Wi-Fi connection is good. Now the library is small and is in the administrative block. The two-story library is under construction,just beside the library.Medical facilities are available. 24/7 hot water is available in hostels. The daily hostel cleaning is done. sports are conducted every semester football ground was recently constructed.

Professors are very approachable and ready to help the students also have deep knowledge of the subject and are friendly too. One of the best things about my college is academics are not that difficult, so students get time to focus on developing other skills.

This is the top national college in India. Above 85% students were studied in our college. The highest package is above 25 LPA. The lowest package is below 10 LPA. The average package is 15 LPA. In India, the top international companies are recruited.

Overall,NIT Nagaland is a good college and value for money if you are an average student.

We have everything in our college but it is not very big enough. We don't have smart boards. Although new buildings are under construction once they are built we will have completely new campus with more features.

Quality of teaching is good but due to pandemic (COVID-19)I have only attended online lec yet so can't review about this. But even in online mode teachers share enough resources and try their best to teach well.

Placements is not very high as this is a newly established college but as this is a NIT you will get good seniors and batchmates which will help you to even qualify for off campus placement. I mean you can get job in campus placement but even if you can't grab one you will be skilled enough to grab off campus one.

Per year we have 2 sem and for general category its 93k per sem so for per year its 180k. Money valuation is reasonable for me.

Campus life is good. We celebrate every festival and events l.

As this college is in northern part of India so many students avoid to take admission there but I personally suggest that its a good college and you should go for it.
