The machines, etc are old in the old departments such as mechanical, etc. However, departments like CSE and Mathematics have brand new buildings, computers, etc.  In mechanical and civil engineering branches, core placements chances are very low, but there are high chances for non-core placements. Hope you are doing great !! I want to tell you  that your chances of clearing the JEE Advanced with 50 marks in SC/St  category is very very less . Therefore , the chances of getting admission in any one of the IITs is quite impossible . Hope it helps and all the best for your future endeavors . For the iit you need to have at least 95+ marks for reserved Categories .
