As a current student at IIT Bhubaneswar, I find it necessary to shed light on certain aspects that need improvement within the institution. While the academic pursuit is promising, there are concerns that hinder the overall experience. Firstly, the presence of underutilized space across the campus raises questions about its optimal usage. These spaces could be transformed into recreational areas or additional academic facilities, enhancing the overall environment for learning and growth.

IIT Bhubaneswar's academic quality is commendable, with a strong theoretical foundation. However, a notable drawback is the lack of emphasis on practical application in the curriculum. While the theoretical knowledge is comprehensive, the absence of practical components diminishes the overall learning experience. Balancing theoretical rigor with hands-on application could greatly enhance the students' preparedness for real-world challenges.

IIT Bhubaneswar's placement efforts are a mixed bag. On the positive side, the institute has fostered connections with notable companies, leading to promising opportunities for students. However, there's room for improvement. The placement process could benefit from more structured guidance and support to ensure students are well-prepared. Additionally, diversifying industries and profiles offered would enhance the overall placement experience.

The infrastructure is poor compared to other IITs. The old MHR hostel is poorly managed and the Community Center here(Where the Performances and other guest seminars and stuff happens) is literally a waste.

The professors are really good. The way they teach here is awesome. The professors are really understanding and friendly. But the curriculum is really not that good. It don't make a student to be placement ready.

The placements this year and the previous year are not really that good. It may be due to recession. But in previous years also the placements are not good as compared to other IIT. But this college always out beats any NIT or private colleges. Any Day Period.

The campus life is like heaven, Everything is awesome, The way students enjoy here such that its their best time in the life. If you planning to study here and if you choose to study here, you'll never regret it.

Yes the college has all necessary infrastructure. All hostels are newly built. 3 boys hostel out of which 2 are recently built and very spacious. Classrooms with full AC and projectors. Highly equipped laboratories. Big central library, student activity centre also there for sports.Every indoor outdoor sports.

I am doing mechanical engineering. Batch of 2023. I am doing because in my rank I was getting this institute. Quality of teaching is good in mechanical. Recent updation in curriculum will occur. Yes it definitely makes job ready.

The quality of placements were quite decent for circuital branches even at times of recession. Highest package was 55 lakhs and it went to cse branch, Overall average was 18 lpa. Placement process was quite easy and pleasent.

Infrastructure is mind blowing. Well designed corporate like buildings are make positive vibes around us. Look like amazing buildings. A good infrastructures for atudents.All necessary equipment are already there in laboratory.

Teaching quality is very good as the teachers are highly qualified.Students oriented teaching method is used by all facilities. Students are understand all subjects as teachers tought.The curriculum activities done by teachers are very good.

Good placement after course completion.minimum 80% students are placed after completion of the course. Students are prepared to face as hard as interviews. They all are ready to face interview off campus also.

Yes .. there is the facility of almost everything but lacks sports ground. All the labs of every branch are well equipped with all the necessary costly and machines and apparatus. All branches have their separate buildings and labs and workshops. Classrooms are well equipped with projectors, air conditioners and cameras. Hostel is very clean. Mess is hygiene and hostels have the facility of wifi , lan network and lifts.

I am persuing Btech in Civil Engineering 4-yr program. I selected this branch because i have a lot of interest in designing the buildings and also want to explore this field. Quality of teaching is pretty well. The students teacher ratio is almost 10. Yes since it is a IIT so all the newly updated resources are available here. Yes after getting the degree in final yr, we are ready for doing the job because we would have gained enough knowledge in this field by then.

The placement in core field is not very good . It is average but placement in non core is really appreciable. The percentage of students placed varies branch to branch. It is much in CS and ECE branches as compared to other Civil, Mechanical etc branches. The highest package till now is approx 40lakh+ per annum offered to a Computer Science student. Average salary also varies branch vise. In my civil branch it's 9 lakh per annum. Yes the college supports very much in placements.

The total fee of my 4- year course is about 12 lakh (Including tution, hostel and mess) I feel this is worthy according to the knowledge and facilities I'm gaining here. Yes it's not up to the mark in sports field but it's okay. As it's a 2nd generation IIT so it will develop too much in coming years.

The factors which describes the campus life are sports facilities, labs facilities, college fests , clubs, function celebrations, friends, trips, senior junior bonding, interection with professors, inter iit cultural fests and tournaments so I want to say we can enjoy all these things being in IIT Bhubaneswar so in short the campus life is marvellous. Teachers and seniors are very supportive and kind. The location is also very good . It has a railway station very close to it. And yes it's v safe

Till now my experience in this college is very good. I would definitely suggest this college because no other 2nd generation IIT has this much of facilities.

Infrastructure is very good and it is third largest campus in india it is near by 936 acres and full heritage, their is SAC (student activity center) where all types of indoor as well gym is available and also there is facility of outdoor sports like cricket, basketball and also swimming pool is also available. there is well newly build lecture halls are available and many much more things also there.

As i seems that our that our college is very focused on academics and all the professors are also well experienced and highly qualified and there is also good numbers of professors available in each departments and time table secenerio is also fine for academics. I am currently studying electronics and communication and i definatily seems their will be lots of opportunities in future.

Placements are quite good almost 80% of students get placed every year, in last year the highest package offered is 43lakh/annum and average is near by 15lakh/annum, placement process works smoothly in a good manner by career development cell of iitbbs.

As i belongs to general category so i need to RS 1,34,000/semester and their so many scholarships through which fees not seems to be burden, yes the knowledge i gain is worth it regarding to my fees payment.

As quite campus is well constructed it is full of heritage and surrounded by mountains, their are college fests in which students participates actively and enjoy a lot their and students also participate all sports and different activities and there all facilities available like hospital, ambulances so that it can handle all the emergencies.

Overall enjoy the college life these are golden moments of life.

We have good infrastructure in terms of sports and academics, but our auditorium is still under construction. We have facilities for all types of sports in the student activity center(SAC). We have air-conditioned class classrooms with high-speed wifi. Different rooms have different boards some have normal boards while others have smart boards. Yes, they are all used and well maintained.

One thing which our institute mostly focuses on is academics. We have highly qualified professors and we frequently have webinars with other professors also. I'm studying electrical engineering because I think in the future there will be significant changes in this field. The curriculum is updated after some specific interval and the recent developments are included in this. We need to know more things apart from the curriculum to be job-ready.

Last year more than 90 percent of students from the electrical branch got placed. The highest package was around 43 lpa in a tech company and the average package was around 16 lpa. Top recruiting companies include Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Flipkart, de-shaw, etc. The Career development cell helps with the placement process.

The per semester fee is 1,30,879/- rs, this includes both the tuition fees and the hostel & mess fees. The amount of knowledge and experience gained here does justice to the fees paid. And we usually have good peers here in IITs.

Our college is very big with a campus size of 936 acres. So one uses a cycle to go from hostel to academic building. One can join different societies and fest to enhance social skills. Also, there are always some events on weekdays. Everything is inside the campus, we have a hospital here is there is an emergency one can call the ambulance.

College life is very awesome and you will enjoy your 4 years here.

We have all the equipments that we required for our carrer. Our professors teach us through LED projectors. And also we have sports Gymkhana. We have WiFi facilities in the hostel. And also have a central library. We have a 1000 campus where we can built everything that we need.

Academics is very nice each and every professor is good at his teaching.we also have the best professors like other old IITS. curriculum is also quite good. Our students recently developed new way to conduct exams.

Placements are pretty good and this year our placed percentage is 85. This year my student fellows got placed in Microsoft,Amazon,Gojek and also some other reputed companies. Our placement cell helped us a lot for our jobs.

It's quite heavy compared to other govt colleges. Our college also allotted scholarships to the students. It's worthy paying such a amount. Campus helps us to build a good career. It's cost 1.5 L for semester.

We have lot of societies that encourage students a lot we have good sports area for cricket,foot ball and other sports. Societies like Dance, Music ,fine arts, social welfare society and photography society. where we can enhance our skills.

The campus infrastructure is good but its not done completely.There are many things which are still under construction like auditorium,sac,etc.There are lecture classes,laboratories facilitated with central AC,smart boards(projectors)and proper equipment.All the hostels,classes,and laboratories are well maitained,hygenic and had good WiFi facilitation with lan connection .We had our newly constructed hostels for boys and girls with awesome infrastructure.Sports grounds are also well maintained.

I'm an undergraduate student of Electronics and Communication Engineering branch.The quality of teaching is very good with well experienced faculty members.Professors are student-friendly and are ready to help students through their academics.They provide us a good explanation of subject/concept and also provide assignments of good standard questions,strengthing the basics of the concept.The curriculum is updated and it do includes the recent developments in the respective field.

The placements in our campus are well and good only for the students who are preparing themselves for software and coding related companies(irrespective of their branch).If you are from a non-CS branch and wants to get a job from your core subject related companies,then there is a very less chance to get placed!The highest package acquired was around 42LPA from a software company to an CS student.The average salary can be of around 8-10LPA (considering all branches).

My whole course would costs around 2.5lakhs per year including hostel fee,institute fee.Yeah I feel its worthy to pay because IIT is such an prestigious institute and a student gets an exposure and proper guidance to follow his/her interests and build their career.

Our campus is located at the foot hills of barauni,Jatni,Argul,Odisha.Its a serene campus with around 950acres of land.The grenery of the campus is the best thing i can say and the worst thing is that it is little far away from the city.It takes about 45-60 min to go the city bhubaneswar.Emergencies cannot be handled always as there are no big hospitals on the way too.Students can engage in all kinds of activities like sports,cultural and technical through fests and societies in our campus.
