Around 89% of students are placed this year, with about 300+ companies offering placements. Recruiters are from big MNC's like Virgo,Amazon,Google, Oracle etc.,The average package this year is 21.82 Lacs per annum.placement cell has provided us with enough guidance .
Really good infrastructure for the academic area, but hostels are not in very good shape. The academic area includes classrooms and labs that are well maintained with the newest technology and machines; even the sports grounds are well maintained and in good shape. But only new hostels are good; old ones aren't great.
The Civil Engineering department in IIT Bombay has around 50 professors of different specializations like transportation engineering, water resources engineering, structural engineering, etc. All the faculty members are well qualified and have completed their research, P. H. this from premier institutes. All the faculty members have immense knowledge of their field and are a great resource of knowledge for someone who want to learn deeper in the field. Most of the professors explain well and make the classes interactive, so that students can get maximum out of the lecture.
Placements are the best; we all want to be looked at. Placements here are great and have been experiencing largely unaffected growth in package. The highest package offered in the institute is 1.5 crore+, and the average goes up to INR 21 LPA, which is gate number. As far as chemical engineering is concerned, the average package goes around INR 18 to 19 LPA.
Really good placement.
Hostels here great to live in. The hostel experience is really memorable for any student. All hostels have 24?7 Wi-Fi access and connectivity. Hostel mess food is also far then that of the other college. Also, the hostels are quite safe and secure from the perspective of a girl students.
The Faculty here is great. All the professors are highly educated and skilled. They are very punctual when it comes to lectures or assignment submissions. The courses here a bit tough, but they are worth studying. Though one may feel that Curriculum is outdated. Passing percentage in IIT Bombay is more.
At first IIT bombay is known for its strong placement record. 85 percent of students were placed from our course in various company like google, infosys, microsoft. Etc. Google was the top recruiting company for our course. Software developed, app management etc...
One of the best college..
Wi-Fi is great. Mess food is quite good. All the sports facilities are available. The rooms are spacious with a table, chair, B.Ed, and cupboard. A great atmosphere all around. We get an ample amount of food and time for ourselves in the hostel. There are no limitations.Food quality was excellent. Management was very nice. Food was prepared as per proper nutritional requirements of the students studying there in out Bombay. Indoor games were there. Hostel rooms were managed very effectively. Neat and clean bathrooms.
All highly qualified professors. All the professor are well known faces in industries and are having there qualifications from very reputed institutes across the world. Very much relevent to modern industries in India and abroad. Even useful for higher studies. There are great professors with a great amount of academic and research knowledge. The Indian Institute of Technology offers opportunities to some of the best minds in the country. They have excellent thermal and fluid knowledge. Semester exams are tough. 90% of students pass.
Average package 15LPA. Internship in BHEL, BARC, ONGC and almost all good MNCs. More opportunity in foreign institutions and organizations. All other facilities were very good. The placement rate for this college is too good, with almost everyone being selected over here.
The infrastructure available here includes right from a full-size tennis court to an Olympic-sized swimming pool, gymnasium, sports ground and many more. The good thing is that the library is well stocked. If there is a shortage of any book, you always have access to the IITB central library, which has every journal, book and subscription you would need. There is a provision of a proper cupboard (almirah) to store your clothes and other items that you would be bringing. In the first year, in the hostel, every room is given on a twin-sharing basis, i.e., two students stay in every room. In the second year, every student has an individual room. Room facilities are quite good.
Every faculty member here is highly qualified, and many of them have multiple publications in famed research journals. The course curriculum is divided into core courses and elective courses. In the first year, only core courses are provided, which are basic courses to build up a base of all the domains such as finance, marketing, IT, strategy, operations, etc. The exam follows a semester pattern, and every semester is divided into two terms. Both the terms have entirely different subjects, and the exams are conducted as per the IITB calendar.
There was an increase of 5% in the average salary package, i.e., it was increased to 21.96 LPA when compared to the previous year. The highest salary package offered was 32.8 LPA. Classroom is very clean and used a very high tech product for students learning. Labs are very well maintained by the college authority. We are appreciate that.Electricity and water availability give you no chance to complain.
Teachers here are very supportive and helpful; they are highly qualified and acquire a high level of knowledge. They never compromise on teaching quality and teach with their whole heart.Passing a semester with an excellent score is difficult, but passing with a nice score is easy if the student has studied the whole semester. The best hostels (infrastructure-wise) are given to M Tech students.Hostels are great if you get new ones like H17 H18 they are kind of 5 star rooms but few old hostels are very bad mess food is also great, medical facilities are top notch and free of cost.
Faculty members here are the best specifically in terms of knowledge experience and also they are easily accessible if you want any help even at fortnight. Course curriculum is entirely depend on the faculty as autonomy is given to each faculty they can put different weightage to each assignment class test quiz mid sem end sem exam with passing score also dependent on faculty. The faculty present are extremely knowledgeable in their respective fields. Course curriculum are relevant and up-to-date with industry. Exam levels are between easy and moderate.
Almost 90% to 95% of the students got placed in my course. The highest package is 54 LPA, the lowest package is 12 LPA and the median package is 24 LPA. The top recruiters in my course are Byju's, Gojek, Goldman Sachs, etc. Overall, IIT Bombay is the best college for placement in India.Being M.Teach internships are not offered.
Infrastructure of the college is very nice. The classes are well-equipped with ACs and high-speed Wi-fi. Labs have very high level and expensive equipments.Mess food has alot of variety and it is good to eat.Labs have very high level and expensive equipments. Library is so large and very beautiful with alot of books and references to read.Hostels have nice facilities like automated washing machines, RO water etc.
Faculty members are excellent and have very high qualifications. If you are really interested in the course, then they are very helpful. The course curriculum is very relevant and makes students industry ready. The exams are on the higher side for difficulty. About 90 percent of students get passed.Though one may feel that the curriculum is outdated, it is important to study its origins.
Placements are definitely something to be looked at. Placements here are great and have been experiencing largely unaffected growth in packages. The highest package offered in the institute is a whopping INR 1.5 crore+, and the average goes up to INR 21 lacs per annum. As I am in my first year, I am exposed to physics and CS labs only. And they are the best labs, and the staff is very supportive. Wi-Fi speed is best in classrooms, mess, and libraries. There are washing machines and one water purifier on each floor. In the hostel, there's also a mess where you will get breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner. Almost all kinds of sports facilities are available, and you will get chances to participate in inter-IIT sports, i.e., competitions. You will get awesome medical facilities available 24/7 that are free of cost. Even the medicine given by doctors is free of cost.Classrooms are well structured; there is a podium and projector screens.
Honestly speaking, faculty members are a bit boring, but they are well qualified. They do not give their 100 percent to teach the students. The course curriculum is very relevant and makes students industry ready.End terms are very difficult, but midterms and quizzes are durable. In CS 101, out of 700 students, 55 fail in math, or about 51, so about 10 to 12% of students fail. Faculty just go by the slides that they have copied from any book. Yes, this course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready.
