Lecture halls and laboratories have excellent facilities. It has one of the largest libraries in any college. It has several indoor and outdoor stadiums with an olympic size swimming pool. The hostel rooms are a bit old.
I am studying b.des since I like product design. The teaching is top notch and we get good enough exposure in the field of design. The curriculum is up to date. In the first two years we learn basics of all kinds of design and from third year, we can choose projects to our liking.
The placements are really good. Around 85 percentage of students were placed. Highest package offered was 1.47 crore per annum for Computer Science. The average salary is approximately 1 lac but it depends on person to person.
It costs around 3 lac per year. I think it is worth the money since you get job security and good opportunities.
The campus is filled with trees and it has two lakes. It is near a posh area called Hiranandani gardens. Airport is within 10 km range.
Newly developed hostels are very good at IIT Bombay. Though old hostels have few problems however other facilities like wifi sports, labs, library, smart classrooms are well up to date with latest technology.
Study material is well up to date with latest trends. Moreover students also get opportunity to complete minors in subjects of choice. Students also get opportunity to learn and practice other non engineering domains like humanities electives, arts, digital marketing, ...
College overall has very good placements. Highest packages generally come from CSE branch. Recent years have also seen rise in entrepreneurial culture. Also students have got placements through research sector.
The huge campus with walkpaths and greeny trees . Ofcourse with all the necessary facilities. Amazing library , and ohh yes the classrooms are super amazing. All the sports are encouraged and the gymkhana is huge and amazing.
Chemistry cuz that's what my rank could get me the course at IITB .Well the curriculum is very nice tho it's a bit hectic for freshies this year . And no doubt it includes all the recent developments including great lab experiments
Good. Yet I am a freshie so can't really comment about the placements. But so far what I heard the placements here are very good and so many multinational companies approach the students here for jobs .
Yes.
Outstanding.
Apart from studying the campuses gives you a chance to develop your skills in almost every field from dramatics to sport and the campus has well built infrastructure for this, campus also provides you high quality wifi and lan almost everywhere in campus.
I am pursuing my degree of bs Economics currently, the institute provides high quality education with in a latest technology fashion, good ratio of proffesors and students is also a key point, Many students go for higher education from here but even after graduation you are job ready
With the pandemic going on, and everything moved went online, the campus still maintained their placements very well, the average package being 20 lpa, the highest package offered internationally was 1.16 CPA.
Studying here costs you around 2.5-2 lacs per year or for both the semesters on undergraduate level, but the college have strong alumni network which provides you various scholarship if your family's annual income is below certain limit.
The infrastructure of the college is too good. It is well equipped with all the necessary and also sone luxurious things. All the classroom are well maintained and have centralized air conditioning and a very good wifi connectivity. As well as all campus area is neat and clean and all the parks and sport area area are well maintained
Currently I am pursuing bachelors in the economics department. As I already had sone interest towards this subject, I am loving it. As well all the professors here are very good and the content delivered very well. As well all the academics are well taken care of.
The placemenrs at IIT Bombay are excellent. The process for applying is well monitored and excuted properly. While in the placement most of the high rank companies come. I don't the exact stats but both the average salary and highest salary are too good.
Well it cost almost 1 lakh wich include all the academic and other facilities available at IIT Bombay and it also include the hostel fees. Definitely it worth of spending this money here, because I feel all the facilities we get are pretty good and the cost for it is not too much it is ok.
The campus life is most beautiful part of the college. Due to presence such a huge and beautiful campus the life is full of joy. Apart from these there are too much fun is going on in the form of fests, dj nights, parties, workshops, clubs, and many more other activities in each field, hence the campus life is literally lit.
I feel it is the best college, anyone can dream of.
Yes, Our college has a great infrastructure, Facilities and Equipment. Classrooms are well cleaned and maintained. Hostels are good enough. All the living places are clean and hygienic too. Mess food is good and healthy for students.
I am studying Computer Science Engineering after clearing the GATE exam with a good rank. Quality of teaching is good and much over as expected. Curriculum is well designed. Also during the lock down times, classes are well managed by our faculties.
Quality of placements are excellent. Many companies offered good role with high amount of packages. All the students you are sitting for the placements will get a good job with good salary amount. Almost all of them are get placed.
Fee cost is high for general student. Many students will also get schorship.
Campus is best. I am missing the campus too much during this lock down. Students, teachers an staff are very much supportive and cooperative.
IIT has one of the most amazing campuses. It is very beautifully constructed. It has very big classrooms with proper ventilation. Free Wi-Fi is provided for students' comfort everywhere in the building. The library is very huge and it has numerous books academic and non-academic books as well. There are two separate hostels, one for girls and one for boys. The quality of the food served is much better than any place in hygienic conditions. We have a huge canteen with a number of chairs and tabl
Teachers in our college are amazing. They are very knowledgeable. Each one is a master in his /her subject. They are highly qualified and their teaching quality is indeed very high. They are available for 24x7 and we can always look at them if we have doubt and they never say no. This course curriculum is relevant. Each child Is brilliant here. Children compete with each other. It does make students industry-ready.
Around 85% of the students who applied for placements got placed in our course. The highest salary offered was 1.5 lac per month, and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 80,000 per month. Top recruiting companies of our college are Amazon and Infosys. Approximately 70% of the students got placed in companies like Amazon, Microsoft, and Oracle. Top roles offered are software developer, web developer, and pen-testing.
its high for those whose income is not low.
I opted for this college because IIT was my dream. I always wanted to get a label of IITian. My parents suggested this course as I was a brilliant child. Each course is good in its way. I chose this course because I have an interest in it. Our course is easy, and the strength is less so the teacher can give individual attention to every child. I wish it would be much better if they reduce their hectic fees as it is very high.
its one of the best colllege in india.
The infrastructure is decently nice although needs to be checked in certain areas and departments. Though the construction of some new hostels and departments is ongoing, some of the old department buildings need to be renovated.
The academic environment at IIT Bombay is definitely one if the best if not the best in the entire country. It has a wide range of courses and programs to choose from not only in the field of engineering and technology but also management, design, entrepreneurship and finance.
All top companies of the world come to recruit IIT Bombay students including Google, Microsoft, Rubrik, Jaypee Morgan and P&G. This is a very long and elaborate procedure where students in the odd semester of their final year prepare for their placements.
IIT Bombay is funded by the Government so students' parents are not required to pay much.
The college has a beautiful and lush green campus situated in Powai. It has close to no pollution and is a township in itself. Living on this campus indeed gives an experience to cherish for life.
IIT Bombay has great infrastructure. We have all necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments in the fields of academics as well as sports and other activities. We have AC classrooms, well equiped laboratories, a big and diverse library, a sports center which promotes almost all kinds of sports. They are used well and all curricular and non-curricular activities are promoted equally in the institute. Living spaces and food hygiene are average, but overall the infrastructure is good.
The quality of teaching is above average. I am studying mechanical engineering, but we are not bounded by the branch we have took. We are free to choose courses from other branches as well. Professors and teacher assistants are always available and willing to help in any academic matter. The curriculum is updated every year to include the recent discoveries. The curriculum is able to make us job ready.
The quality of placements is good. I have not yet sit for placement but as much as I have seen for the previous years placements, the placements offered are of good quality with good salaries. A good percentage of students get placed.
It's the best thing that can ever happen to you. IIT Bombay's campus life is the best thing of the institute.
IIT Bombay definitely has one of the best infrastructures in the country. A 550 + acres campus with classrooms of varied sizes for different batches. The labs are some of the best in the country so is the sprawling Central Library. There is Wifi in the entire campus and so are smart tools installed wherever required. Some improvement is expected in hostel but still much better than most places.
I had a decent academic experience. Some professors are really helpful and care about your academic development. The curriculum is flexible and provides a student with the chance to explore sufficient electives and fields. It is certainly updated with the world and makes you job ready.
IIT Bombay is a pioneer in providing its students with placements across the board. You can get jobs not just in your core field in non core fields ranging from management consulting to supply chain management. Almost all of the students who sit for placements (not all do as some go for higher studies) get placed in good jobs. The average and highest salaries can be found online.
The fees are not very low but not super high as well. As there no management seats in IITB, everyone pays only the fees and no "donations", etc. A general category student during my time would have had to pay around ~2 lakhs per year all inclusive. The college is value for money without a doubt. The saying goes that IITB spends 10 times of what you paym on you.
I think campus llife is literally the best thing about the institute. I was the head of the student media body, active member of the literary arts club and worked in the college fest, Mood Indigo. That being said, if yu have an interest, there is a club of like minded individuals in the campus. The opportunities for self-development and creativity are almost infinite here. And these are obviously some of best minds in the country so you will have a great time. The campus is in Mumbai as well!
I think I have covered the salient aspects. Good luck to all the aspirants!
Hey there,
With an SC Preparatory Rank of 232, getting IIT Bombay is possible but highly uncertain. Admission through the preparatory rank list depends on the availability of vacant SC reserved seats after the regular JoSAA counselling rounds. There is no guarantee of allotment in the 4th or 5th round.
