About IIT Madras
IIT Madras is an institute of National Importance that was established in the year 1959. IIT Madras is an autonomous statutory institute administered by the IIT Council. The institute offers a total of 111 courses, out of which 1 online course is offered at the diploma level, 37 courses are offered at the UG level, 58 courses are offered at the PG level, and 15 courses are offered at the doctoral level. IIT Madras Scholarships
A number of scholarships are provided for students of IIT Madras by the institute. The scholarships are provided in certain amounts and fee waivers by the Institute. Students from reserved categories (SC/ST), women candidates and minorities, and others. are also provided special scholarships. The source of scholarships comes from companies, alumni and government sources. IIT Madras Facilities
The institute has quite a few facilities that facilitate a comfortable campus life experience for them. IIT Madras facilities include 20 hostels. Of the hostels, 5 are for females and 15 are for male students. The institute also has an olympic-standard swimming pool, a well-equipped gymnasium, a cricket ground, a vast stadium and a multipurpose indoor stadium. Indian Institute of Technology, Madras has a Placement and Internship Office that looks after and coordinates the complete process of recruitment for students. The process of IIT Madras placement includes registration of the companies with the institute. Following which the companies fill in all the required fields of the Employer Registration Form (ERF). After this, the companies go through the resumes of interested students after which the companies conduct online or offline tests, depending on their requirements in the Indian Institute of Technology Madras placement. After this, slots are distributed to students for an interview which is followed by the final interview process.

College Infrastructure
It's a good place. Beautiful campus with all the high tech facilities. IIT Madras is a place which gives students the rich and valuable exposure to multiple avenues related to academics, co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Each student discovers their true interests and passion and pursues the same. Much of the campus is a protected forest, carved out of the Guindy National Park, home to many animals that are not commonly seen in a busy city like Chennai.
